for ancient magus bride , I recommend watching the ova episode that is available .... it worked on me & I bought all avialabe volumes after :D ... no regrets & waiting for more. Spice & wolf has 2 seasons of anime ( second season sucks as its filler) ... so I recommend watching only season 1 & continueing with manga ;) ...

OMG I know right! The first time I was introduced to fruits basket was through the anime (26 ep) and I thought that was all there was to it. THen I found out about manga and that the anime was based on the manga, so I read it and it went DARK lol like Psychological and dark all of a sudden and a whole bunch of drama that is not even in the anime and made it sooo different hahahaha. My heartu ~ but I loved it >.

You are the first person I've seen do this that has Yaoi! As a proud fujoshi, this makes me very happy lol. I don't own any Yaoi yet, but I plan on buying Japanese volumes because they are a lot cheaper and easier to get! Also, I was secretly happy you didn't have any Katekyo (Private Teacher) volumes, because I would have been way jealous lol.

mai & emi I love hikaru no go but im trying to find volume 14 in my library but I can't find it so they i move on to reading vampire knight from volume 11 to volume 13 but at the start i was confused because of the characters. And after watching the anime first then reading the manga,it pretty interesting
Yes, the anime most of the time always starts out the same as in the manga but then halfway changes or is only animated up to a certain point of the manga, therefore I prefer manga over anime. As a high school student all I can do now is make stops at Indigo/Chapters whenever I get the chance to and pick up maybe 1 or 2 volumes at a time because damn it's expensive! $12.99-$18.99 for a single volume?! So I'm thinking of getting boxed sets and ordering them online because I really want to complete a set then read it all in one go. But I'm scared of getting defected volumes and what not so what's your best bet? Are they in good condition if you them order online? Also, is there any way to save the most money? Thank you! Your collection is goals btw!
Some good sites II use are Amazon and bookdepository. Bookdepository is UK base, but they offer free international shipping and can converts your purchase into CAD$ when you go on their website. These sites are good if you want the best deals for manga purchased brand new. Ofcourse, if you want cheap deals, and most of the time unable to find manga that is not available anymore because it is no longer being printed, e-bay or craigslist is awesome or a book thrift shop/ local comic book store. I avoid going to CHapters or indigo because i find it 5x more expensive because they sell it at it's actual listed price, which here in Canada is like $15 a book right? It sucks because we don't have great book sites like the states do, such as Barnes and Noble. I heard they have 50% manga mondays in some states 0_0 . A lot of my favorite mangas are not published or licensed yet in English so it looks like I mainly read shojo when you look at my collection but its the opposite. Hi there! I bought my bookshelves from Ikea here in Canada. The price goes for about $69-70 CAD I believe it was. It only came with five shelves so i had to buy two extra ones to have eight shelves in total. The shelves I believe cost me $10-15 dollars/per shelf. =) -Mai

Very nice collection. Nice to meet another Shaman King fan. I watched it on TV too. I used to like Boys over Flowers till they hit me with the amnesia cliche. I can't stand that. I have a question about the Never Give Up manga. You said 1- 8 complete, but according to the wiki its 13 volumes. So does the story finish on vol 8?

Hi thanks for watching! I go to Craigslist, Bookdepository or ebay for my manga as well as amazon. We don't have good deals here in Canada at our book stores so i have to buy online where sites offer free international shipping or local meet ups. If your from the states, im told Barnes and Noble is the best place to purchase, Rightstuff and Craigslist. If you are out side of north america, I still recommend ebay or Bookdepository. Bookdepository offers free international shipping from the UK and they have sales all the time and discounts =) Hopes this helps you! good luck on collecting! To answer your question, 99% of the manga i have in my collection I have read before even purchasing as my collection is very specific and i only buy if i liked the manga. The few ones that i have not read and are in my collection are manga that were purchased in a bulk order that contained the manga i wanted in the order and were included as free extras. I a total bookworm. If not manga i read novels but i purchase them as e-books :) -m

Hi there! I bought my bookshelves from Ikea here in Canada. The price goes for about $69-70 CAD I believe it was. It only came with five shelves so i had to buy two extra ones to have eight shelves in total. The shelves I believe cost me $10-15 dollars/per shelf. =) -Mai

You are right! I made annotations previously to advise of such. The Butterflies, Flowers didn't show so i fixed it but the Fushigi Yugi Genbu Kaiden still worked. Thanks =)
