Cody, I am LOVING your food descriptions…”it looks like this.” 😂😂😂 I can’t wait to go to Animator’s Palate and draw my own character! So cool!

Cody is obviously a world-renowned food critic 😂 plan your character out in advance because we found out the hard way there is no time or paper to practice with!

We have a couple we took with our phones, one of which we posted to our Instagram a while back. Kind of kicking ourselves that we didn't get the photo package this time around solely for this photo op! 😂

We’re taking our first Disney cruise on the Magic this summer and have been recently been going down the RUclips rabbit hole searching for reviews - really enjoyed watching you guys, you’ve had some great tips and are very detailed in your vlogging - thank you! Also I LOVE the bathing suit you’re wearing with the stripes, it’s beautiful and so flattering! Do you happen to remember where you got it from? 🤗

Thank you so much Katelin!! We know that rabbit hole very well 😄 the bathing suit is actually from Amazon! If you search Cocoship Vintage Sailor Pin Up Swimsuit, it should be one of the first results that pops up 😊

But……what was in the covered dish for your snack while you played Unstable Unicorns? Did you bring it from Animators Palatte?

Hahaha Cody brought back some of his entree from dinner! You eat so much on these cruises that sometimes you have to get things to go! 😂

Hi!!! I recently starting watching your videos and I am obsessed... in the best way lol!!! I am trying to make a decision on which cruise to take with my 9 year old daughter this coming year! I would love any feedback or guidance! I am debating on the 5 night Bahamas with 2 stops at Castaway on the Dream or the 7 night Eastern or Western Caribbean on the Fantasy. I think doing the 3 night on the Wish is just too short. It is our first time on a Disney cruise and I just feel like I don't know what choice to make!!! I don't think we would do too many excursions so it makes me wonder if the Bahamas cruise is best with the 2 stops at Castaway or if the Caribbean is best with at sea days. Thoughts for me? Thank you!!!!

Hi Julie! Oh my gosh, how exciting!! Your first cruise is definitely one you never forget and we're so excited for you and your daughter to experience it! Here are some thoughts we've seen shared for new cruisers & those itineraries that we think are valid considerations: first, if you've never cruised before, shorter cruises are usually recommended just to see how everyone fairs during the trip. We know you said first Disney cruise, but just wanted to throw that out there if it's your first cruise ever!
Next, we're generally always fans of longer cruises - we agree that three days is much too short! That said, we will say that having extra Castaway Cay time is *so* nice on the 5-day one! While the island itself isn't *super* decked out in Disney, it's still very well themed and having that extra time to see/meet characters on the island is really nice! Castaway Cay itself has so much to do that we're fairly confident it would be very difficult to do it all with only one day. It just made our cruise feel that much more *Disney* having more time there.
For the Eastern/Western Caribbean cruises, we generally see the Eastern itinerary recommended more over the Western one, but if you have any preferences over places you want to visit, that might help you decide. At Sea days are some of our favorite days on cruises since they're so relaxing and it's so fun to explore the ship, so that would probably be a big factor for us personally. Of the two that we did, our Bahamas cruise gave us more of the tropical vacation vibe as opposed to the Western Caribbean one, which was more of a combo between tropical and go-go-go adventure vibes (though your port adventures will have a big impact on the feel of your cruise, if you do any).
If there are different ships for the itineraries, the Fantasy/Dream do have more activities for kids (and the kids at heart like us!) what with mini golf, the midship detective agency, and the Aquaduck, so that might be something to consider too. However, we love the restaurants on the Magic/Wonder more than the Dream/Fantasy.
Ultimately though, it will be up to you to see which cruise works best based on your own preferences and what you hope to get out of your vacation. If you ask us, we truly don't think you can go wrong with any of the cruises you mentioned! Especially since after your first one, we're almost positive you'll try to make another one happen in the future! 😉
