How Old Is the Earth? | Creation Q&A: Campus Edition

- Evolutionary scientists say that our planet is billions of years old and many people accept their words as truth. But can we trust the science behind their claims? How do we separate the good science from the bad?
ICR zoologist Dr. Frank Sherwin and ICR paleobiochemist discuss this topic with a student during a live Q&A on a college campus.

Well made video and great answers!
00:15 I love that answer! Praise God!
This is an example of a critical ministry- those young people will remember elements of this discussion into adulthood, and may be the anchor to keep them open to God. In 1993 as a 16 year old I went to a creation talk- (The creation bus/ Australia), not only were the guys positive and intelligent, they presented superb discussion showing how the bible has all its science right, where science can be shown. I've always remembered them talking about Job 38:31, Pliades & Orion & that bible shows their characteristics before anyone could have known them.

I think creation can and should be taught scientifically and let the students choose which they believe vs the my way or the highway teaching that is taught in schools.
Good content, thanks for posting! Next time, please let the background music fade out right after the intro-I found it to be distracting while trying to listen to the scientists explain their points, respectfully. Hope to see similar clips like this in the future! Keep up the good work
the music is to keep kids watching long enough to convey a message.
Thanks ICR
Love the beautiful background music 😊
also, many real scientists believe in creation, and many developed the scientific disciplines that we have today.
Music is too loud. Great to get heavyweights on the matter out to colleges though. 👍
What are your thoughts on the species of rail that “re-evolved”, even though it’s more likely a new species or a Lazarus species, an extinct species that has been rediscovered
Its about two conflicting worldviews
2:30 are we going to trust the words of a scientist or the word of God?
There are two world-views:
In the beginning Hydrogen... and... In the beginning God...
Both require faith... We're all congregationalists!

Thank You

So watch how Campus Reform does their campus talks. Model after that.
Listening to the speakers doesn’t really show the students being engaged enough.
Hi Jeff, science doesn't say anything; scientists do, and most of them have a skewed worldview that directs their thinking in the far wrong direction. Without putting God at the center of everything, then everything that person who doesn't have God in their thoughts is usually wrong about most of what they say.
Science deniers. Sad.
Even if we had a time machine, the evolutionists would say something like, 'Well, you're observations are wrong because you can't prove exactly what year you went back to," or something similar. Besides, even if we had a working time machine, who would take the chance of getting in it, and programming it to go back XX million years, since if deep time is wrong, you'd be taking the chance of being sent back to a time that never existed, and if that happened, who's to say you could get back from a time in history that never existed in the first place? Would you?
