It's awesome that we have all this available in gdevelop almost native. I think this engine has a great future due to all the extensions they're creating. Just need a bit more work on lights, shadows, and stuff like that, but is getting pretty good and simple.
A fifth method to make money is to create and release a free or premium game that can be played barebones, but you set up a patreon or similar to earn subscription money in return for continued work on the game. The bigger, better and richer your game grows in how it plays, the more enticing it will be for people to start supporting you via subscriptions. While not necessary - since continued support for the game itself is already the main product - it is also possible to provide additional benefits like earlier builds to patrons or content/feature priority voting rights or even commissions of new content into the game, though commissions might be better handled via Kofi as one-off services.
I knew this sounded like Helper Wesley... 2:21 gives certainty. Watched too many of his tutorial videos - the vocal cadence is absolutely unmistakable. GDevelop is the best thing since sliced bread... I do wish it could handle midi though - as I write craploads of insane music and it might make for interesting rhythm games.
actually this got me thinking about things like Episodic games or the potential for other DLC add-on modules, Not sure how you;d do this on G-Dev, but maybe something for a future video?
I wanna know if there's a way to show an ad on an in game asset so I can put them on a billboard or something similar so they're less distracting and fit into the game better
But In Google Play Developer Console Had Too Much Requirements On Uploading Apk File Like This Version Or That Need This Version, That's Annoying For Small Developers ? So How We Make Easy With All Requirements Needed Without Single error
Every so often google play will require a new version of apk file, and there might be a gap where the 1 click export from GDevelop doesn't work, but once updated within GDevelop, users should be able to just export an app bundle and upload it to Google play without much issue. 👍 -Wesley
hi! I'm new to gdevelop and as i follow the beginner's tutorial i always try to find the code lines that i need but not all of the code lines are in the list..... is there anything i need to do show all of it?
Sometimes the action/condition in the list isn't the exact same as the name on the event sheet. Try searching for words that are similar or manually searching the list. If what you're trying to find is an action/condition from an extension, you'll need to download that extension before you're able to find them in your list. 👍 -Wesley
I have started making games for my kids in gdevelop because the over monetization and over saturation with ads is intolerable in mobile apps... its predatory and manipulative. I rather pay price for game up front if I do not have to see single add or buy anything in the game.
Well that's why I showed footage from Fallout shelter during that part of the video, it really questioned a lot of assumptions about mobile game design and monetization. It's definitely a great case study to check out if you're interested. 👍 -Wesley
There are a lot of options for mobile: -The condition for the left mouse button work for touches. -There is an extension for swipe controls. -The button objects work with touch controls. -The draggable object behavior works with touch controls. -You can map the platformer and top down behavior to the joystick object or buttons. -And there are even more mobile specific conditions for controls in engine. 👍 Then you just need to export to mobile. You can check out the GDevelop wiki, or our video about exporting to learn how. 👍 -Wesley
in app purchases, admob adverts in app, selling game on itch or appstore, selling assets through the gdev store or itch launching your own website with your own ad-hosting ...thats 5... did i miss one?

For the ads you said don't watch your own advertisement, does it mean I can't play the game whenever I launch it?

Too good you can't re-open your projects on trail so if your pc is gonna crash you basically can't edit your anymore.
Are there any plans to integrate IAP for desktop & web as well and not just mobile?
That would honestly be a real reason for me to switch to GDevelop.
