I used to scoff at people who said rpgs were for the story, because none h ad a story as good as your average good book, until xenogears, and IMO, Xenosaga (not as good individually, but about as good as a whole imo, particularly since it got abbreviated into half). BUT, my love from the series spawned from 'trails in the sky', is even greater than xenogears. I implore you to try it when you h ave the patience to attempt a new long-term-story game, don't get bored that you don't rescue a princess, slay dragons, and take on the military in 5 hours like so many other jrpgs, it makes the protagonist grow at a believable (slow) pace, which is crucial to how it's good.

Both of these are fantastic interpretations of the lyrics.
Yep. The 2 angels in the church at Nisan both only had 1 wing-- together they could fly but apart they fall. The entire game's theme is about Small of Two Pieces, Fei and Elly finding each other throughout generation after generation.

A few years late to this video, but this song's title, "Small Two of Pieces", is a bit of Engrish. It's meant to be "The smallest two of the pieces [of a broken mirror]". Mitsuda-san wasn't exactly an expert in the English language when he wrote the song. The meaning of title is that when a mirror is broken, all of its pieces are equally important to reassemble it, no matter how small. The "smallest two" represent Fei and Elly from the game, or rather, each and all of their reincarnations. No matter how insignificant their individual lives are, their love for each other is consistent throughout all time.
