    Stalin, Pol Pot, and Hussein (and probably others) used the same method where they had people support them and cause chaos for them, then had them all killed off (with their insider trust and knowledge of who they were) when they were no longer needed. Sadam even allegedly threatened to have one of his former supporter's young child raped and murdered while his former supporter was forced to watch if he didn't confess to crimes to make them look bad. Moral of the story is: remember, whenever a leader calls you as citizens to revolt and commit crimes, storm a place, etc...they don't need their revolutionaries when the revolution is done. Their revolutionaries are often among the first to go. Doesn't matter how convincing they sound, how much you believe them, if they ask you to commit crimes, or things that could get you in jail (if you don't see it as a crime), and they aren't doing it too, fucking run. This has happened too much for you to volunteer to be used like that. I'm not talking about anything current, or any one place, as this happens all over the world and throughout history, whenever and where-ever you are, don't be their bitch. They won't reward you for it. They may say you'll be their martyr...till they drag you out back and shoot you. Just leave and find leaders that won't ask that of you.

      What if the " storming of the gates" is necessary? Also you dont want the leader in the fray possible getting killed, ya a leader up front is moral bosting and makes the revolutionaries trust the leader more but if the leader gets killed, then the entire revolution crumbles

    Supposedly, Rohm's last words were; "Heil Hitler! Mien Fuhrer, Mien Fuhrer." Even though he probably knew Hitler was the one who ordered him killed, he couldn't help but to stay loyal to Hitler to the very end.

    • @100milnic
      @100milnic 2 года назад +1

      The SA were fiercely loyal to NSDAP and to Hitler. But, pre-1934 the NSDAP had left and right wing internal factions competing with each other for dominance, often on a regional basis. The SA leadership under Rohm were on the left of the NSDAP factions, pushing selected radical-left ideas about seizing both private wealth and state institutions, ideas strongly associated with far left, class struggle, politics. This is why the SA was able to recruit so many ex-communists into their ranks, who were called 'Beefsteaks' as they were deemed brown on outside and red on inside. Hitler was a ruthless opportunist, maneuvering on a path to seize full state power, and would ultimately betray and murder the SA leadership to gain the acceptance of existing state elites. The SA rank and leadership failed to grasp when they had become redundant to Hitler in this political game. Thus history shows, it is not just the communists who eventually line up their 'useful idiots' against the wall, after they become surplus to requirements, irrespective of their deep belief and loyalty to the political cause.

    • @2ndcomingofFritz
      @2ndcomingofFritz Год назад

      @@100milnicAlthough the leadership of the SA were certainly on the socialist side of nationalist socialist, it is well known that many former Freikorps members joined the ranks of the SA for the sole purpose of beating up communists. Even if it is true that ex-commies did join the SA, there was still an overbearing dislike or even hatred of communism in the SA.

      In the business world, if you fall into disfavour, you can be sure that your associates will ‘bring out the knives’, metaphorically speaking. The literal interpretation would be Julius Caesar getting stabbed by his associates ‘bringing out the knives’. The ‘long knives’ part could mean the long reach of the conspiracy, in that a lot of other ‘Enemies of The State’ were dealt with at the same time. A ‘long knife’ (sword?) reaches farther that a regular knife, perhaps?
      Just my opinion. I could be wrong. I often am.
