I suppose ruthless is one of the few ways to describe the SS. But to be honest I agree, sometimes from a factual standpoint or if someone were to write a paper, even bias against nazis isn't educational.
According to testimony, given on the series "Hunting Hitler," after the war ended, and it was unclear what happened to H. Fegelein, his parents were asked about his (Fegelein's) whereabouts. Their response was this... "Oh we hear from him all the time!" Oh really!!! Where is he?!?!?! "He is in South America with the Fuhrer!"
Is more likely that an asteroid collide with earth, than the Fuhrer wanted to South America. He prefered kill himself a million times than be a commun person without power in a distant land.
Fegelein was not Hitler's brother-in law. Fegelein was married to Eva Braun's sister, making him Eva Braun's brother-in-law. Hitler married Eva Braun a matter of hours before they both perished by suicide (Fegelein had been executed before this marriage). To contend Hitler ever had any connection by marriage to Fegelein is absolutely specious and is another sorry example of redrawing the historical to fit a narrative
Excellent visuals and narration. I knew very little about this man Fegelein and thought it was tragic, in the movie scene I witnessed, how he was mowed down. In a way it was a merciful death he did not deserve. If he had survived he would have faced the Nuremberg trials.

Yeah I read that as Berlin was crumbling he was caught in bed drunk with another woman and it was interpreted as treachery to hitler and that hitler ordered his arrest and that in fact he was executed against the fuhrers will
@@jadengarcia5086 - It was even dumber than that. She was the Irish-born wife of a Hungarian diplomat who went home and she stayed in Berlin. When they came to pick up Fegelein at her apartment, she left the room, went out a window and disappeared into historical footnotes. For quite a while, the Gestapo had been trying to figure out the source of information and rumors from the Nazi inner circle that was being broadcast on a false flag radio station operated by British military intelligence, and they immediately figured that she was a British spy and Fegelein had talked about things he shouldn't have. Hitler was outraged by Fegelein screwing around, but him giving aid to the enemy, especially by talking about Hitler's private business, was what got him executed.
Look up the "Florian Geyer" SS Cavalry Division. Fegelein spent much of the war as their commander, racking up a large bodycount of Russian civilians, who they labelled as partizans.
Honest enquiry will reveal that it was the communists of the red army that murdered large numbers of Polish intellectuals and professional people - NOT the Nazis. For many years after the war the communists accused the Nazis of murdering 20,000 Polish military officers, intellectuals and clergy in a wood in Katyn. I believe it was 1997 when the Russians finally admitted that it had been their soviet era NKVD secret police that had carried out the attrocities. The murders were in revenge for the red army's defeat by the Polish army in 1920 - at the battle called: 'The miracle on the Vistula'. The Poles in 1920 had stopped the red army from invading Europe.
I read that Fegelein was a "swordsman." In any event - many of them were degenerates at heart saving their own skins. The only ones I ever admired were the Prussian-born and reared generals and the like. And the SS panzer guys but they were ruthless and B-R-U-T-A-L. And those snazzy uniforms.....how TF could you fight with a tight belt on and high boots???????? lol
The other Nazis didn't consider Fegelein disgusting because of war crimes, but because he was a social climber using connections with the powerful to get promotions.
He was thrown into a shell hole in the garden of the reich chancellory. The Soviet army never found his remains but were busy looking for hitler as it was Hitler Stalin wanted.
@@mrhamburger6936 ....what? There was an NKVD (yes, I know, not the most accurate of sources) that says Herman Fegelein was shot in the back of the neck and his body thrown into a nearby shell hole. Hitler and Braun committed suicide and then their bodies were set on fire (apparently). Then, on the way back to Moscow, the remains would be buried in the evenings and other units try to steal the body to present to Soso. It became some sort of macabre game like “Wack a mole” except it was “Dig up the bodies”.
The ultimate antic was pulled by heinrich mueller when he put his gruppenfuehrer tunic on fegelein's dead body. Fegelein is buried in an unmarked mass grave on Grosse Hamburger Straus in a jewish cemetery no less.
You must have not studied the war very much because it's a very well known story that's in many documentaries, books and movies of how Hitler had him tracked down in the very last days of the war and dragged back to the bunker for abandoning his post like the coward he was, like they all were.
Watched the vid, read the comments (which unanimously support the vid). I was less impressed, frankly. Portions of this script were taken verbatim from Wikipedia. By many accounts, the disgust described by German eyewitnesses like Speer, and authors like Shirer, was attributed to his groveling and brown-nosing his superiors in order to stay out of danger, up to and including marrying Eva Braun's sister despite being sexually involved with several other women at the time. NOT from being a murderous Nazi war criminal in the likeness of Rudolf Hoess, Amon Goeth, Theodore Eicke, etc. Yes, he was a devout horseman, but certainly NOT a combat officer of any mention, nor even a die-hard National Socialist... simply an opportunist with absolutely no integrity or morals. The mass executions committed by his SS cavalry unit were at at time when the unit had been parceled out to support the under-staffed Ordnungs-Polezei... Fegelein himself, temporarily a commander with no one to command, stayed in Warsaw, and turned to drinking, women, and general graft (theft, bribery) as a way to keep occupied. When he WAS forced to actually take command, as when he made him CO of the SS Cavalry Brigade, even Himmler reprimanded him bc his "numbers of Jews rounded up and/or killed was far too low". He was involved in several combat operations, but seemed to get conveniently wounded each time. And for that, he was awarded the Knight's Cross, then reassigned to Hitler's staff for the rest of the war. Many women spoke of him being a "dashing cavalier", but not terribly intelligent... the modern equivalent of a "himbo". As the war became lost, Fegelein increasingly turned to drinking as a means of escape, at a time when more ardent Nazis were planning to either kill themselves [and their families] or escape justice via the Odessa rat line. Fegelein was far, far more pathetic than he was evil.
Hey Gil. Speer probably understand that borman and himmler forced him into that marriage, that's why he was out partying. he was practically checked out as soon as he checked in. I'm not sure you appreciate the insanity of the circus that was the high command. It wasn't all the job was cracked up to be. As far as the mass murder is concerned, it's little known that he wanted a front line command, mostly to get the hell away from so-called antipartisan duties forced on him by himmler. Those numbers, were inflated, just like the exaggerated status reports that enabled his unit to be placed in operational reserve at the front in december of 41. People assume because they report 200 guns confiscated that they didn't face larger forces. When the whole village burns in the midst of a firefight, you're not going to look for every gun left behind in every smoldering cottage. I also find it interesting that Dirlewanger was assigned to his brigade for a few months. Those guys did whatever the hell they wanted. You could say that in his early brigade days there were severe disciplinary problems in his unit, which himmler welcomed because those were the guys doing what himmler wanted. You have to remember Fegelein was not a trained soldier in any respect. Despite all of that, and a severe ass kicking in February of 42, he did rather well on the front lines after the brigade was reinforced with different troops, motorcycles, AA, and antitank capabilities. He was awarded the KC for taking a key road against superior numbers. To say that he got it for getting shot really not fair. The part about his ambition was totally true, so he was never forced to finally take command in the first place, he was eager and kept getting sidelined. Making the rank of general in command of a division was what he set out to do in the first place and I think getting sniped is what finally got him to let go of the idea of being a field general. Btw get a look of the dirty look he gave himmler in 44 in that video he's in. It says a lot. I wouldn't call him pathetic, I don't believe anyone pities him. Naive and ambitious, perhaps.
As the story goes Hitler committed suicide because he didn't want his enemies to do the same thing to him as they did to Mussolini , no I think Hitler escaped Berlin with some of his henchmen, and possibly ended up in Argentina, and the people's bodies that Hitler had burnt outside his bunker would have been poor unfortunate lookalikes, proberly jews, and many top SS men simply vanished into thin air when Berlin fell, all was very well planned, in case of defeat, just a theory of mine, I guess I find it very hard to believe a man like Hitler with such a monstrous ego could shoot himself,

This was quite good, and factual. However, I don’t understand why the titles of these videos are marred by sensationalistic terms, such as “ruthless,” “justified,” and “brutal”....they just aren’t necessary to tell the stories!
I suppose ruthless is one of the few ways to describe the SS.
But to be honest I agree, sometimes from a factual standpoint or if someone were to write a paper, even bias against nazis isn't educational.
it's called Marketing.
I mean fegelein is immortal, I assume he'd be pranking the fuhrer while in South America

@@jadengarcia5086 When you marry the sister of Der Führer's girlfriend, don't get caught cheating on her!

Interesting I've never heard of this guy. Despite, having studied and read about Nazi Germany.
Look up the "Florian Geyer" SS Cavalry Division. Fegelein spent much of the war as their commander, racking up a large bodycount of Russian civilians, who they labelled as partizans.
Nice video.
Now he knows, play with fire you get burnt.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥😂😂😂

@@WyattRyeSway how do you know that I heard that it was Hitler that was thrown in a shell hole and set on fire with his wife

Fegelein was far, far more pathetic than he was evil.
much better than the video. perhaps you have a future as a contributor of historical information!
