Good reaction! Very unusual choice of the performance, but a very good one, too! The crowds at BABYMETAL concerts are like this EVERY FRIKKIN` SINGLE TIME! 🤣 At this concert they used a smaller part of Makuhari Messe Event Hall, tho... "just" about 9k people in there 😉 You should watch them rocking the WHOLE freaking Makuhari Messe, 25k capacity if fully used, performing "Headbangerrrrr!!!!", in January 2023 🤣
Welcome back to the Foxhole! 🤘🦊🤘 Great reaction! Usually reactors get later performances with the Kami band backing up the girls, but this one is still epic.
It is a great treat to see this through your eyes. As a fan-follower since their beginning BABYMETAL is the most exciting experience ever for me. & Thank You 🦊
Great reaction - not a performance we see many react to - good choice.🦊As you know now this was Su-metal's 16th birthday party, Yui and Moa were both 14. This was the (I think) 9th song of the concert and with the "See you" at the end it looked like the end of the concert ... but no, they came back out for 5 encore songs along with the live band (the guys in skeleton suits for the first part of the concert were only pretending - they were called Babybones and they would go on stage with BABYMETAL before they had the funding to hire a live band ... this was the last big show they did before the live band - the Kami Band - became their full time support for all live shows).
This had to be one of the most fun concerts in rock history!! AND, I think ultimately, it will be recognized as a very important night in a new era of rock/metal music. If only I had a time machine, and apparently some air conditioning judging by the sweat!
4:30 My God, look at Moa and Yui running and jumping like crazy... who needs to go to the gym? BABYMETAL has the best audience in the world...without a doubt
Great reaction! This is an amazingly epic and beautiful song, and Babymetal has been performing this for the past decade plus! A few corrections though: Title - ijime (ee-jee-meh), dame (dah-meh), zettai (zeh-tie). It's okay, we all screw it up at first lol. Most of us just calls it "IDZ" for short. Age - Yui & Moa are 14 here and Su-metal just turned 16. This show (Legend 1997), was her 16th birthday concert. Still though, not many their age can rile up a crowd like this! Additional tidbits: Makuhari Messe is just under 10K capacity, and I'm pretty sure that was a sold out show. The guys in skeleton costumes you see on stage were Babymetal's original fake band called "Baby Bones". They just got big in Japan at that time, and didn't have the budget for a full backing band yet, so their real band, the Kami Band, only joined them for encores. The Kami Band shows up starting the next song and closes out this show with Babymetal's 5-song encore. Starting next year, in 2014, the Kami Band supported Babymetal fully. Also, it's always amazing how much energy Babymetal puts in their performance. You see how sweaty they are (this was the 9th song), and Moa and at times Yui were noticeably winded at certain moments, but never skipped a beat. Luckily, they took a small break, then came back for a 5-song encore to close out this amazing show! You should check out their newest release from a couple of days ago - Ratatata, featuring German party/techno-metal band Electric Callboy. It's a totally different vibe and a hilariously awesome summer party banger of the year lol. 🤘🦊
👍 👍 👍 BABYMETAL is timeless. Joy/Happiness never goes out of style. 🦊🦊🦊 🖖❤ Great message. Awesome reaction. Suggest BABYMETAL - Road of Resistance - Live in Japan (OFFICIAL)
_Kitsune tobe!_ 🦊🤘🙅♂️ Welcome back to the Foxhole, it's been a while. You fell under the usual mistake writing and saying Ljime instead of ijime, it's actually a capital i, same goes for the song Iine! lol You can write and say IDZ for short next time when mentioning this song. Song title means No More Bullying Forever and is the best anti bullying song ever made. Make sure to check it out the live at Sonisphere Festival 2014 which is even more epic and a turning point in their careers when playing in front of 60k UK metalheads. Next suggestion to enjoy a brand new collab while is hot: - BabyMetal x Electric Callboy - RATATATA official MV. Keep enjoying more BM songs and see you next time.🦊🤘🔥
Nice reaction. You went way back for this reaction. And what great choice. This performance is rarely done by reactors. So, it was very cool to see. Su's 16th birthday celebration was epic. This is early in their career as Babymetal and see how the audience was part of the show. Singing along with Yui and Moa. And jumping with them as well. Just goes to show that from the start going to see Babymetal was an experience to behold and cherish. Moa is actually taller now. Still Smol just don't tell her that. Kawaii. I hope you continue down the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music. Recently Babymetal has been on a roll. Starting last year when they did 93 shows worldwide. Released a new album called The Other One and three singles since then. Plus add a new member Momometal. Promoted into the group after being a backup dancer for them on the previous tour. She earned it. Ever since joining she has proven what a smart choice it was. Su Moa and Momo are proving themselves to be a force to be reconned with. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises
He’s back. Considering BABYMETAL, their evolution and Global achievements has been unique. Nothing like them Ever. You’ve a long road ahead. You will definitely enjoy the journey. Thank You 🦊
Just a note on the title, that first letter is an upper case "i," not an L (pronounced Ee-jee-meh). Ijime Dame Zettai. If you ever react to their song "Iine," note that it is also an "I" (pronounced ee-neh). The letter "L" does not exist in Japanese, so you will typically not find it in any Japanese words, unless they are loan words or English (or other language) words.
I must apologize but I take issue with you comparing BABYMETAL to anime music: BABYMETAL is not anime - never has been and, with any luck, never will be. Ten points for getting Su-metal's name right; minus ten points for getting their ages wrong - Su-metal had just turned sixteen the previous day (Dec. 20: in a sense, this was her "birthday party" with almost ten thousand fans), and Moametal and Yuimetal were both fifteen at the time. In fact, the "1997" in the concert title is a reference to the year in which Su-metal was born. Anyway . . . . Keep rockin’ BABYMETAL!!! KITSUNE UP!!! 🤘🦊🤘
To Koba’s (and Amuse’s) great credit they realized early on that these 3 young ladies were very special👊🏽⚡️🦊🤘🏾

2013 is the Legennd 1997 Appocolyse show honoring Su's 16th birthday. Moa and Yui would be 14.
Nice reaction 🦊🤘
It's very rare that people react to this live version, but it's one of my favorites :)
