    People are condemning this man in the comment section like they know the truth. He admits he doesn't know, and that's the most honest answer anyone could ever give to the question of what's truth and what isn't.

    I'd probably be confused too if I where shuttled around between different families and different faiths. How you made it through and still found a connection to a higher power is quite admirable.

    If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
    1 John 1:8-10

    Sin is selfishness. People that take selfish pleasure in hurting others are judged in an automatic kind of way. The net result is that they are given exactly what gives them the most pleasure... the opportunity to hurt others without any outside interference whatsoever. It just so happened that the "others" are people of like mind. This is hell.

    In conclusion I guess your question is: why is there suffering? Maybe its part of creation, I don't know. But the NDE suggest that we are here to learn through the school of life and as David suggests great lessons can be learned through suffering. Of course some people take the human path of anger from sorrow and create more suffering, but others find God and greater understanding which leads them to a higher learning.

    The religious remarks here...this is what religion does to people. I am right and you are wrong. This is how Wars get started. I have read a great deal about near death experiences and I am amazed at what is told of the afterlife. Sometimes I feel like a worthless person. As if my life has no meaning at all and if I committed suicide, I would be out of my misery and confusion. But NDE's inspire me to continue to live and to help people. How can this be evil? TY for sharing Light.

    This segment is fantastic! Just for what he said at the last it is so worth viewing. It helps so much that he had this varied 'religious' background, probably - he's not totally programmed into one religion or another
    What he revealed so beautifully, tho, is how those who create terrible, painful situations for others - situations out of which great spiritual experiences or awarenesses come - is that sinning?
    Beautiful contrast with the 'common' understanding. Thank you for this

    it is not about religion this video proves that all reigion does is confuse people and keeps one from connecting with the most high God of abraham isaac and jacob and israel Yahweh on your own seek God on your own connect with him by reading his word and keeping his commandments and praying daily the reason all these different denominations have different beliefs is because not all are preaching from the word of God the bible they cant be because if they did there would not be this confusion

    Great question, and one that has a relatively simple answer.
    The medieval word sin is a direct translation of the classical Greek word ἁμαρτία (hamartia) coming from archery "to miss the mark". The meaning here is to aim in some way to do good, but in the effort, cause harm. Sin may be distinguished from evil in that evil intends harm; sin does not.
    Both sin and evil have consequences: emotional, social, legal and/or physical, in this lifetime, and spiritual, in the next (i.e. during the life review or ending up in hell). But there is also a way out, which is repentance (to fundamentally rethink) and forgiveness and the consequence of sin and evil are cancelled out: if you genuinely forgive others, you too will be forgiven. It may not be easy, or immediately possible, but with persistence and searching becomes second nature.
    The near-death experiences are replete with descriptions of this in various forms, and this principal of forgiveness is a mainstay of different religions and spiritual traditions.
    Just because on religion or denomination identifies something as a sin does not automatically make it so: the law of life is universal, but some things would offend some and not others: some sins are culturally dependant; others not.

      I wonder if for as long as you refuse to acknowledge how your actions affect and hurt another person, you stay in a spiritual "rest" that may be why some people are "returned" to this "dimension. " Some even say they were told by spiritual beings that they had more work to do. They are under the impression they must come back and contribute to society, which is possible true, but they probably are supposed to go make peace with all if the people they screwed over, because painful action perpetuate.Its easier to forgive someone who acknowledge they've harmed you. It's easier to heal if someone validates they caused the pain. This elevates both persons spiritual growth.I think?

    I believe there is a part of reality on the other side this man did not get to see. God chose to show him just a small part of it. There is sin. There is evil and there is judgement too. And Salvation is through Christ whether you get to see it in your NDE or not.

  • @LightBehindGod

    ... out of their negative experience through focusing on the light or love through eg a prayer or a call for help. Thus, the true nature of the experience behind what ever negative experience and projection is love.

  • @LightBehindGod
    @LightBehindGod  14 лет назад +1

    @superdubman999 That may be - but how do we interpret scripture correctly and who does so? And what about the other religions and their fundamentalists who make the same claim as you? Is it your or their scripture that is the right one? And last why does God not write his own books in person (but needs apostles)?

  • @6672rock
    @6672rock 14 лет назад +1

    Also I'd like to add you made an interesting point towards the end of the video. Does the sinner open a window to spiritual insight to others? Is the sinner in turn angelic in that regard? I don't know, but I'd hate to think that people like Josef Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Vladimir Lenin, Pol Pot and Idi Amin meet the same fate as people like Ghandi, Mother Teresa, Eleanor Roosevelt, etc. It would seem illogical and unfair if extreme good and extreme evil meet at the same fork in the road.

  • @LightBehindGod
    @LightBehindGod  15 лет назад

    This is not meant literally and not the whole story (as with the Bible). That the light is all forgiving does not = allows sin and that we can do whatever. People do have very painful NDEs & even hellish experiences. But the point is that the cause of this pain is our own choice of separation from God as the Light/God is not angry or judgmental. Yes, that's hard to understand as a human but maybe putting anger and revenge on God is too simple for something much greater than we can comprehend.

    Furthermore (since you are asking big questions), while Christianity only has one direction: Ascension - in e.g. Islam and Buddhism that there are two directions: 1) Ascension and 2) Descension.
    Each individual soul is on a unique journey either towards God through ascension or after having found God, descending down to earth to do God's work. Since the two directions are opposite the two truths will conflict. But if you see truth as direction then it is easier to accept the other (-'s path)

    Yes, I see where you are coming from. There are generally two directions within religion: 1) from Paradise to End times or 2) from End times to Paradise. It seems you have accepted 1. as the standard Christian position. But I think both 1 + 2 is happening as there is clearly some evolution happening: War is still happening but there is clearly a moral evolution happening e.g. slavery is no longer legal and morally accepted.

  • @LightBehindGod
    @LightBehindGod  15 лет назад

    While Christians have duality through the body and soul or spirit, the Buddhist talk about Absolute divine truth and Relative earthly truth. Since the two are in conflict (as you have shown) the 'real' truth to live by is not one or the other (either/or) - but the right Balance between the two.
    This means the balance between unconditional and conditional love. In my view that means maybe Darfur but not Iraq and right actions take an enlightened and balanced view that must look to the divine.

    You ask a lot of questions and I am not sure I have all the answers. But yes, it seems that unconscious choices are as valid as conscious choices as forgotten "unconscious" things come up in the life-review of the NDE. However, as the pain of the review (hell) seems to come from our own judgment, a conscious choice should incur more judgment or guilt.

    Jesus didn't come to tell you you're a sinner, he came to reveal who you truly were, he came to restore you back to the original image which was Spirit the light of the world when you believe in Jesus you become the light of the world unconditional love that's the light you saw when you died.
    All the Bible talks about is Jesus being the light and living inside of you that's your original purpose.
    If you do not believe in Jesus you live under the law which is sin.
    All you have to do is believe in why Jesus came to restore you back to being the light which is spirit and you live by faith and you don't live under the law.
    The law was written for non-believers the law was written for people that live in the flesh and not the spirit has nothing to do with our original purpose
    Christian and religion and doctrines have taught us different and it's not even biblical.
    Sin is not sex drugs and alcohol it's anything outside of God's presence.
    He'll is in your body on earth
    Heaven is your body , you have a choice, your the temple of God

    People do have distressing NDEs and about 5% have so-called "hell-like experiences" with visions of demons etc. However, NDE research considers these experiences projections as the mind and cultural conditioning interacts with the experience. 'Hell' is real to the experiencer who projects it but not ultimately as the true nature of the experience is love and light. Even people with bad/hellish experiences will say that the experience on a whole was positive and you also see that people get ..

    NOT RELIGION....JESUS, AND A RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM!!!!!! Personal relationship with God! We know what sin is because the Father put a conscience and knowledge in our hearts. Evil does exist. We all are capable of sin. We will all face Jesus as judge.

  • @LightBehindGod

    @superdubman999 Did you witness this yourself or do you have any actual evidence that this really happened? No? Well, in that case all you have is an account like all the other religions and we are stuck at account against account. With many different accounts and religions in the world my bet is that none of them is the only true faith but that they all have part of the truth in them. This is the path out of fundamentalism, one that I recommend for you.

    The Christian souls don't have in their last thoughts that the vice of lust is the greatest sin. No soul with that sin is able to go to Paradise or even to the Land of Liberation, our the Silent Home, which is in fact, that heaven for all the souls of all today's known Religions. That sin, vice of lust, is the worst one, then second is anger, then greed, then attachment and ego. All sins emerge out of false body consciousness. So much work we have to do upon ourselves before the end. Imbibe soul consciousness by considering yourself to be the soul, a point of light, and remember your Savior, the Supreme Father, the Supreme Soul, God Shiva, also in His Form of the Point of Light and all your sins will be absolved.
    BRAHMA KUMARIS WORLD SPIRITUAL UNIVERSITY is that place where God Shiva gives the inheritance of liberation and salvation.

    He sounds more confused than before his NDE. We all need God. Jesus will judge mans hearts. Every knee will bow. Turn to Jesus, He loves you and wants a relationship with us right where we are. THEN we are clean and forgiven and assured Heaven, Once WE ACCEPT HIM AS LORD, SAVIOR AND JUDGE OF THE WORLD. ONE GOD, IN THREE PERSONS, FOR DIFFERENT FUNCTIONS, 3 PERSONS, ONE GODHEAD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD. HE SACRIFICED HIMSELF, HUMBLED HIMSELF AS A SERVANT FOR US AND THE FATHER TO BE TOGETHER, AS SONS AND BROTHERS. ONE CHURCH.THE FATHER WILL GIVE JESUS THE AUTHORITY TO JUDGE THE LIVING AND THE DEAD AND ALL WILL BE ALL IN THE END, JUST AS IT WAS IN THE BEGINNING. READ GENESIS. JESUS WAS WITH GOD AND WAS GOD. READ JOHNS GOSPEL FOR UNDERSTANDING. 1x1x1=1 ONE GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!,,

    This man was forgiven because he had reasons to. But in the afterlife there is a separation of souls. Some souls are saved. It is God's harvest of souls. May we pray we belong to God's harvest.

    Satan does come as an angel of light, to deveive many.
    Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

      +SuperSailorSailing Yes, I agree. Sin is a man made concept. Of course these things you mention are horrific, selfish acts. But the idea of "sin" - a negative act that must somehow be "paid for" by you (or a surrogate) - was created in the minds of men. It has nothing to do with the Universal Source Consciousness, or "God." It was a simple teaching for "primitive" peoples, who lacked the sophistication of thought to understand the more subtle nature of what "God" is and how this reality functions. Cheers.

      ***** It occurs to me that there are consequences to all thoughts and actions, whether we acknowledge them or not.
      Also, the true meaning of atonement is at-one-ment, in other words, a reunification, not payment through suffering. A closely related concept is that of forgiveness.

    • @sngscratcher
      @sngscratcher 8 лет назад +2

      SuperSailorSailing "It occurs to me that there are consequences to all thoughts and actions, whether we acknowledge them or not."
      Yes, during the life review process you "get to" feel exactly what every other person felt when you did or said something injurious to them during your lifetime. So if you murdered someone during this life, for example, you feel that horrific experience, in exact detail, from the perspective of the murder victim. This is done not for punishment, but rather, as a teaching experience. Fortunately, we also get to feel how others felt when we did or said something loving towards them.
      We know there is no judgement and therefore no sin because, all throughout the life review process, only spiritual love and support is being poured into the heart and soul of the life review experiencer.
      We are all tiny chunks of consciousness that make up the one Universal Source Consciousness. So there is no point in this consciousness punishing parts of itself for negative actions. "It" is learning and growing as we learn and grow, and therefore only offers us intense love and support - at every turn.
      "Also, the true meaning of atonement is at-one-ment, in other words, a reunification, not payment through suffering. A closely related concept is that of forgiveness."
      Our spiritual growth is our "atonement." That is our goal here - once we realize it - taking responsibility for our own spiritual growth. And then helping others realize it, as well. Cheers.
