The biggest problem people have with eating.. is BALANCE.... once you find a sustainable way of eating your body and mind stop fighting each other. I've tried it all, and once I stopped, so to did the mental anguish and wasted mental guilt process about eating or not eating..... Eating disorders are not just overeating or under-eating, they are also when people put TOO much focus on foods, meals and what they can and can't eat. I know what triggers my "eating guilt" now and that is the ONLY thing I have removed .. and that was refined sugars.... I still eat sweet foods, but natural not using "sibsitute" sweeteners which are I think a worse option.... I use date paste or dates. But yes refined sugar was my trigger and now its gone, and I no longer beat myself up mentally about what I do and don't eat...

I’ve lived my entire life as an obese person with a strong focus on food which developed in a bad unhealthy relationship with food. My focus now is working on fixing that! I’m definitely gonna try the egg fast because stuck at 169 I’m trying sooo hard to get to 160 but I was at 238 like five months ago. Maybe because I’m 52 years of age and weight is really hard to come off once you hit in your 40s

Be patient and give it time. As you said, we can’t be perfect and don’t give up. Which is so true, bcuz by not giving up, fusing into a new carb conscious way of life will happen gradually in time. We been eating carbs our whole life, right after the infant milk stage, so it’s in our system and must dissolve gradually if it’s ever going to go. That not giving up and beating yourself up when you fall back is the key.

Today is day 1 for a new egg fast. I'm doing a 5 hr eating window with 2 meals, each consisting of 4 eggs and 2T butter. I sprinkled some grated parmesan/Romano cheese blend on them along with Redmonds garlic-flavored salt and WOW, those were so yummy!! 👌

So how many eggs are you allowed with this? I have read up but they have mostly said 6 eggs a day but if your active you can have more? I am an active person but I just had a baby 8 weeks ago via emergency c-section. I gained so much with this pregnancy. I was 126 and I got up to 200. I'm down to 180 now.
I would figure out your protein macros and see how much protein you should be getting in. For me, 8 to 10 eggs a day works. The rule is to eat at least 6 so figuring out your protein macros (I use Carb Manager) will help!
I love doing egg fasts!! They are definitely a tool in my toolbox that I rely on. But I have to be careful because sometimes I rationalize that it's ok to eat off-program, knowing I can follow with an egg fast. For me personally, this defeats my goal of eating a healthy lifestyle without huge swings in my weight. I made it to goal in early October (down 80#s from my highest weight 16 years ago) but I'm finding it difficult to stay in a small range of 3-5#. Lately I've been hovering 8-10# above that goal weight. And then yesterday I had a BLOW IT day. So, I'm back to a 5 day egg fast!!! I need to get this maintenance figured out!! Do I need to abstain completely from my "trigger foods"? Can I be ok having one small serving of something that is not low-carb? I'm still trying to figure this out!!
I swear, we are the same exact person!!! I too need to be careful about not allowing myself to blow it before and egg fast! Having that mindset is just going to make this so much harder on ourselves! After the egg fast, make sure to gradually add carbs back in (good healthy carbs) I always do carnivore for a couple days after the egg fast and then slowly add carbs back in each day! 🙂 if you add them too quickly, you may gain some of the weight back

I have only bought sugar free syrup for years and I don’t usually like sugar free versions of foods. I usually just get store brand or whatever I never noticed it being watery. I also love it in my oatmeal but I never use much syrup even on pancakes just a drizzle. I don’t like when it’s covered.
I am not on ketosis and don't have any plan to after so can i still do just egg fast for 10 days and then switch to my normal boiled egg and fruits diet? I am afraid I'll gain all weight back so i am confused what should i do in order to not gain that all back, will being on a boiled egg diet after help?? Also can i just have plain black coffee or it won't be that effective??
I had coffee! And I put cream in mine. I am a firm believer that we do what’s best for us! I just made sure to only consume eggs, butter and cheese for meals. My advice is to gradually add carbs back in. Especially with fruit. I would do a couple days of little to no carb (carnivore) and then gradually start adding carbs back in!
I personally add creamer to mine! I add almond milk and French vanilla nut pods. I wouldn’t add anything that has sugar and I would be careful about calories!
So technically it doesn’t pass the egg fast “rules” but! I would say it’s ok in my book! Everyone does their own thing and I’ve added sriracha sauce to the diet, sugar free maple syrup...etc. You do you! 🥰
I agree! But I don’t need a high carb lifestyle. It doesn’t work for me. Sticking to lower carbs through veggies helps me to live a healthy balanced life. The egg fast is a tool that helps you to get back on track! 🙂
Is this something that you would do again? I am so jealous of heavier people when it comes to losing weight, unit literally falls off of you so fast. Once you get smaller, it's much harder to lose. I am petite and just wanna lose about 10 pounds but it's a BITCH lolol omg it's ridiculous. Carnivore is awesome though but I will definitely try this. I bet you, I'll prob lose like 3 pounds lolol.
Heavier people lose a lot of weight because we have a lot of weight to lose and in the beginning most of it is water weight and bloat. Not fat loss. The longer we are on this journey, the slower the weight loss is. You could do a fast (carnivore, egg fast) and lose some weight but make sure to gradually add those carbs back in afterwards or else you’ll gain some weight back. And to answer your question, I do egg fasts all the time. I have a playlist of all my egg fast videos! You should check them out! 🙂

Hello great video! I have a question tho, will the weight stay off as long as I’m on keto and on a calorie deficit? I really want to know how to keep the weight off
After the egg fast, make sure to gradually add carbs back in (good healthy carbs) I always do carnivore for a couple days after the egg fast and then slowly add carbs back in each day! 🙂 if you add them too quickly, you may gain some of the weight back
U drink coffee on AM, I DRINK DECAF WITH HEAVY CREAM. CAN I do that with the egg fast, or should I get the Pods? Which one taste best? Thank u. I'm just not losing..so depressing
You can do that! Or you can do nut pods. I like the French vanilla and chocolate the best!

Definitely deviled eggs and omelettes!! But the egg fast is only eggs, butter and cheese! So you don’t want to have any fruit with it! 🙂

I have only bought sugar free syrup for years and I don’t usually like sugar free versions of foods. I usually just get store brand or whatever I never noticed it being watery. I also love it in my oatmeal but I never use much syrup even on pancakes just a drizzle. I don’t like when it’s covered.

Did you do any exercising to help with losing the 12lbs in 5 days?
I did not!
I am not on ketosis and don't have any plan to after so can i still do just egg fast for 10 days and then switch to my normal boiled egg and fruits diet? I am afraid I'll gain all weight back so i am confused what should i do in order to not gain that all back, will being on a boiled egg diet after help?? Also can i just have plain black coffee or it won't be that effective??
I had coffee! And I put cream in mine. I am a firm believer that we do what’s best for us! I just made sure to only consume eggs, butter and cheese for meals.
My advice is to gradually add carbs back in. Especially with fruit. I would do a couple days of little to no carb (carnivore) and then gradually start adding carbs back in!

Can you add flavor creamer to coffee
I personally add creamer to mine! I add almond milk and French vanilla nut pods. I wouldn’t add anything that has sugar and I would be careful about calories!
Do you need to limit how many eggs you have?
Nope. But you want to make sure you have at least 6 daily! Make sure your protein is coming from the eggs. I ate 8-10 eggs a day 🙂

So technically it doesn’t pass the egg fast “rules” but! I would say it’s ok in my book! Everyone does their own thing and I’ve added sriracha sauce to the diet, sugar free maple syrup...etc. You do you! 🥰

The rule is to have at least 6 but I eat usually between 8 and 10
How are the bowel movements? No fiber to speak of, right?
I didn’t have any changes in BMs but everyone is so different with how they react to foods. No I didn’t add any extra fiber in.

I agree! But I don’t need a high carb lifestyle. It doesn’t work for me. Sticking to lower carbs through veggies helps me to live a healthy balanced life. The egg fast is a tool that helps you to get back on track! 🙂

Is this something that you would do again? I am so jealous of heavier people when it comes to losing weight, unit literally falls off of you so fast. Once you get smaller, it's much harder to lose. I am petite and just wanna lose about 10 pounds but it's a BITCH lolol omg it's ridiculous. Carnivore is awesome though but I will definitely try this. I bet you, I'll prob lose like 3 pounds lolol.
Heavier people lose a lot of weight because we have a lot of weight to lose and in the beginning most of it is water weight and bloat. Not fat loss. The longer we are on this journey, the slower the weight loss is. You could do a fast (carnivore, egg fast) and lose some weight but make sure to gradually add those carbs back in afterwards or else you’ll gain some weight back.
