Kevin, a father and professional in Fort Lauderdale, went through a tense divorce with his ex-wife. When tensions reached a climax after Kevin got engaged to another woman, Kevin's ex-wife convinced their young daughter to make a dangerous accusation against her dad. She went to school and told her teachers that Kevin was molesting her and committing sex crimes against her.

Yes but the problem with that is, it will then be used by law enforcement and prosecutors to threaten the accuser to remain silent.
Perfect example is people of LA v Banks. The accuser contacted the accused after he was released from prison and then a PI for the defense recorded the recantment.
Then prosecution and law enforcement threatened the accuser with arrest and prison should they come fwd. The accuser then recanted the recanted statement and if it was not for the recorded interview banks would remain a sex offender.
When ever a teen girl accuses an adult man, most people tend gravitate to her side, because of obvious reasons.
But very few people will say what is her proof? Or does she just not like him and made it up to get rid of him?

How do the accusers not pay!! I haven't seen my child in three years! I raised her ALONE for 5.5 and when she was ten months the mother that rather get high and abandoned and stole from us .. left the state and called cps anonymously admitting to doing so...saying I was MOLESTING my TEN MONTH OLD out of spite...and I was wrongly investigated by a new cps worker who grilled me to tears. Just for weeks later her boss to come and say oh she was new we had to investigate but she wasn't trained properly, and she got away with this kind of stuff over and over! I'm broken at this point and since I'm disabled and low-income, and she is wealthy sugar daddies, a felon sells drugs etc, and worse, she not only got away with never helping us with a PENNY But abusing us both and eventually somehow taking her after police told us we could leave the state for our safety! After she threatened to kill us. And COVID hit same time, they took her from me! I haven't seen the only thing I've ever known or loved or lived for in over THREE years and because I don't have 10,000$ to get justice even started , I have to suffer. While she's in DANGER... if I was a female, and I was the male who abused, stolen from, lied upon, never paid support, a felon, I'd be in jail! Evidence and all matters none if you can't afford a lawyer. I can't get these years back and everyday I stuffle to hold on and stay alive! I've never even had a speeding ticket for gosh sakes. I can't understand and if I was famous id get justice and payment and her in jail and my child. Why????

My Wife's ex tried this tactic on me when her daughter was 15. We immediately were shouting in the court room it was all BS. It did not go further, thankly. I know the Ex was trying to get me out of his ex Wife's life. Pure Evil and he should have went to jail. The 15 year old should have been punished for going through with this. To this day, neither have been punished. The 15 year old did not speak to her mother for 5 years. These 2 are heading to Hell for what they did.

This is happening to me, as I writhe this, I have been in this process for almost 6 months. The feeling is horrible! My EXgirlfriend is accusing me. This is totally false, what do you think it is going to happen? She is showing some drawings our daughter was forced to do, CPS checked the drawings and the outcome is that some disturbing lines were added after. Mom has accused other family members before. My childhood was BONKERS. I witnessed my father go through false accusation which could have done much worse to him than they did... but they left him with lifelong harm all the same(he was never tried in court, let alone convicted... but court of public opinion had him drawn and quartered). Mom accused him of abusing my sister, had him removed from our home, and managed to block him every chance she could(even after therapists, detectives, and the court appointed guardian at legitim said he could not have done it) from seeing my sister. To this day, even as an adult, my sister maintains that he never did anything wrong to her, but she still has chosen to have zero relationship with him because she says he was not there when she wanted and needed him most, so he is "just a stranger"......
At the same time... my mother was sexually abusing me, her son. This including the taking of nude photos until the age of ten. Yes, until the age of TEN. And I want to tell you that when you are a sexually abused child you are NOT believed. She was a school teacher, a disability rights activist, active in the local Air Base community(especially around rallies for POWs), known as a "devout Catholic" and taught Sunday School for the Church. She was the very epitome of a child predator who can hide in plain sight, because she is one of the last people anyone wants to believe will harm a child.

I knew one retired guy who was offered a job to drive mentally handy capped children to and from school. The pay was good but he turned it down cold.
I knew another who was tutoring children and a lawyer told him what he's doing is highly risky and he stopped doing it.
The lawyer told him if just one of the kids he's teaching says he did something, he'll have a serious problem that no matter what comes out of it the accusation will always be looming.
This is a reason why males should seriously consider whether or not he should take a job working with children because there is a risk.
The accusation was made against Woody Allen in a custody dispute. The judge in the case, Judge Elliot Wilk, was totally unfavorable to Woody Allen.
He issued a court for investigation on the molestation charge. Yale New Haven Hospital conducted the investigation and they exonerated Woody Allen.
Woody Allen even took a polygraph and passed it with flying color. Mia Farrow refused to take one. But the accusation is still looming.

Second, Soon Yi was never Woody Allen's adoptive daughter. She was the adoptive daughter of Mia Farrow and and her x husband Andre Previn.
Third, Woody Allen and Soon Yi have been married now for 25 years and they had raised two adopted daughters so I think that shows something.
The two daughters are now studying in a university.

Sadly the concept of innocent until PROVEN guilty is pretty much nonexistent. I'm so glad this mans life wasn't destroyed. Not everyone will get competent council who are willing and able to do the work to prove their innocence. If you are contacted by a detective, be quiet and lawyer up. Nothing you say to them without a lawyer present is going to help you. Do your homework before choosing an attorney. Make sure they're competent and experienced. Look at their record in court especially in cases similar to yours. When you're facing decades in prison you don't want your case to be the first or one of the first your attorney has ever tried. You want one with a proven track record.
Especially if the false accuser know the family for years and know that he could never do something that disgusting and the parent that pushes the lie should be sued and go to jail and the corupt child should go to some psychic hospital before she does that to someone else.

I was falsely accused of DV. And my own attorney told me more than likely I had to take a deal to avoid serious time. Luckily her sister witness her literally hit herself a few times plus a few other things so she could claim I beat her up. If not for her sister I was going to either take a deal for 2 years or face even more time. I still freak out if someone knocks loud at my door. I still can't sleep a while night if there is any noise. The way the police came in was frightening and they almost trampled my nephew, they grabbed my brother and slammed him on the ground. Long story short... I have been on 2 dates in 5 years, depressed, lonely and very bitter. If not for her sister I may still be in prison. She only got 18 months probation unsupervised w/ community service. So I wish the best for anyone falsely accused and I literally consider most falsely accused unless there is evidence and witnesses. 0 faith in the justice system. Good luck God bless. ❤

My brother needs help! His exwife is just angry that he met someone else. He was fired. Lost his home and everything he had with no evidence. He was charged on father's day and arrested on his bday. He hired an attorney for 100 grand who did nothing and told him to take a plea. He then hired another attorney that said they'd fight for him. Now 2yrs later the case was finally going to court and his attorney convinced him yesterday to plead guilty saying if he didn't he could spend his entire life in prison. He's innocent. He served our country and he was an excellent father to her 3 kids and raised them for 16yrs. The allegations were ridiculous and obviously false. But the legal system backed him into a corner and he was terrified. I'm so gd angry. These legal system doesn't make sense. No one cares that he's innocent. No one wants to believe him. Makes me wonder how many men are in prison for the same thing when they're innocent. They can't even tell him when this supposedly happened. They say she wrote in a journal 2 yrs prior and the mom just happened to find this journal that she only wrote in one time 2 yrs before she supposedly found it. Originally she said she was watching s movie with him on his bed and he tried to touch her over her clothes but then stopped. Since then the story keeps getting worse and now after 2 yes she all the sudden has friends on her cheer squad saying she told them about it years ago. But he raised her for 16yrs and only tried to touch her one time? A weirdo would have tried at a younger age most likely. It's ridiculous to wait until she's old enough to tell. And kids were never allowed in their room. Ever. We were raised that way as well. We weren't allowed in our parents room either. None of it makes any sense and now he might spend 15yrs in prison and he's innocent!

I have a friend who was charged this year for 2 alleged cases of first degree S. Assault that allegedly happened 2015 to 2016. He claims he is innocent, and i give him the benefit of the doubt, but there are 2 alleged victims who both have gone to therapy. The dad claims he saw something untoward and the mom claims he overstepped bounds. One of the alleged victims alleged 1st degree SA after the second said there was in the forensic interview.
He has lawyered up, but for him to be innocent, that means there are at least 2 people lying, maybe 4 and 2 of those people have been in therapy for 2 years. Someone is lying. But i can't determine amy motivation for the alleged victims to lie about it.
Drives me crazy because i don't know how to help my friend or even if i should. I also don't know if i should cut ties with him, probably not since he has not been convicted, but if he is guilty and gets off i want to know so i can know if i should cut ties or not.

Bud the most important this is stay calm, limit contact with people and use your phone camera anywhere you go when away from your home, it sounds awful but most likely there are locals and non-uniform cops watching you, that's called stalking and it's illegal for them to do that! Take photos of of them if you feel they are observing you. only answer phone calls of people you know. l am being falsely accused of a much lesser offense and l have home security video proof of my accuser that clearly has lied to the police, this is going to help me in court.

Sounds like the cops broke the law posting his image on facebook making those claims without proof, he has a slander/litigation case and by the sounds of it they are stalking him as well. A good lawyer would help and that guy could sue the state police.

Guessing the penalties could be up to 30 years to life in prison (since it is a 1st degree felony technically), and facing a Tier 3 sex offender blacklist until that person dies! This crime is just as bad as child pornography, which of course also carries similar severe criminal penalties.
Tier 3 sex offender registries are reserved for the extremely serious/dangerous/despicable sexual predators. You don't want to be like what happened to Kevin!

I have 5 friends who got divorced. In every case, the wife accused the husband of sexual abuse of their kids. This accusation is so common, most judges just "roll their eyes." We should all denounce this behavior ... and, it's all too common.

I wish someone like you was around in the late 1980s when I was a child.
My mother was sexually abusing me starting about age five. At the same time she was falsely accusing my father of abusing my sister. She was able to turn everyone against my father, and alienate his relationship to us children. It removed him from our home, where he was a possible protector to me from the harm she was doing to me. It lead to years of depression and anxiety and PTSD to this day. I have a decent relationship with my father today, but my mother destroyed any possibility of that with my sister. Sister has stated that the abuse never happened to her, but that as he was not present when she wanted and needed him, that he is effectively, "just a stranger" and she has zero interest in knowing him.

Polygraph, consistent story
Even if they DID do it they still have a right to a legal defence so thier process wouldn't change.
Polygraph just tells if someone is uncomfortable talking about something, not if they are actually lying, that's why they are not usable as evidence in a lot of courts. And a consistent story is easy when a prosecutor will prep a "victim" so insure it.
