Really helpful for those considering taking the OSCP, thanks for putting the time to create it. And please keep up the good work of putting great cybersecurity videos!
I have post notifications turned on. I loved this entire series and I really appreciate the effort and the style of your videos. I'm sure this video is going to be great also
So crazy, your journey sounds exactly like myself. The Art Of Exploitation is the first hacking book I read. Hehe, you just gave me a boost of confidence bro. Thank you tremendously.
When you said they need to know how to install linux. Now offsec says you need the KLCP cert as a prerequisite to even take the oscp. The cert is great, it makes you learn the kernel, shells, bash in and out. So when you take the oscp, you can maneuver quickly all over the OS. Saves tons of time.
I think attaching the "entry level" label in any way to it demeans, undeservingly, the hundreds of hours, months or a year or more of preparation that people put into preparing for it. If there was a hands-on cert that was basic HTB's like Lame, Blue, Legacy only then I would say that is "entry level" then lol.
Ryan -Malikode- Anastasia the OSCP is totally open book and open notes. Really the only way to cheat is to have someone give you answers or take the exam for you some how. I won’t elaborate on possible ways that could be performed, but the proctoring they’ve implemented certainly helps prevent it most cases. I think you’d have to jump through some elaborate hoops and coordination if you still wanted to cheat that makes it not worth it.
@@InjectionSec yeah, cheating is pointless. If someone were to cheat it just shows their heart is not in it. Then if they were to get a job, they'd be screwed. Like you hire pentesters, so just asking the right questions you'd be able to tell right of the bat.
With the close of this journey, may the beginning of others commence!
Thank you so much for doing this. Having another person's perspective on it really takes the edge off.
Really appreciate the effort!

Cristi Vlad thanks for your kind words! I’ll be doing my best to keep it up 😉

I followed your videos very closely, even though I didn't comment much. I learned quite a bit from them and am starting the PWK course today!
Richard best of luck to you!!!
congratulations dear for passing OSCP; and thank you for sharing helpful videos; appreciated your efforts and time...

+1 for pronouncing niche correctly

ec-council certs are not worth the paper they are printed on.
I'd say OSCP is entry level for offensive security but definitely not entry level for cyber security in general.

This is what I needed to hear
Where abouts do you live? I'm outside of Boston.
I didn't even think of that. How would one even cheat? Like using Google or something?

Harsh Modi I think of you watch the video you’ll find the answer ;)
(33:52 is the time stamp if you need a short cut).
