My husband and I saw him play both of the “old man” roles for the last time in a performance of “La Bohème” at Tanglewood a few years ago and talked to him and took pictures when we saw him hanging around near the Shed earlier in the weekend. (The poor pronunciation of Italian and of some of the opera singers’ names made it sound like it was done by AI - but not very intelligent. They also misspelled his name in the title frame.)
