I am always impressed by the teacher's best terrarium works. How to water a terrarium. Can LED lights be left on 24/7? I have a lot of questions about whether the terrarium lid is completely a nuisance, or whether the space is left from the beginning, or whether the lid is opened once a day to ventilate. Please give me a good answer. I will continue to appreciate your work. Thank you.

Mealy bugs are pests. These are springtails and they are beneficial for terrariums.

A thrill to find another who loves this hobby, although I am far from being active enough, due to too many other things.
I do not think the dead two are lost at all, rather the opposite, they all look wonderful. I have only made a few, often disappointed
that the moose grows so fast smothering other smaller plants. Yet I only trimmed twice and found it hard to be drastic enough
to make it survive. I was trying to make sections of landscape in miniature, so small scales were important too.
I bought larger glass domes with one side opening and one small drain hole.
I also used many more different sands and rocks from their environment.
I will try again, and have only to find more varied containers. I think they would be great presents, yet expect they will be neglected!
Thank you for sharing and your process, I noticed you use a lot of water, yet most of your plants like it. I live in Sweden, so
they have extremely mossy forests with too many moss types to count.
You have found a kindred spirit in me, or rather I in you! I do have some clay soil for aquariums, so will use a little, as I know that have
a fare amount of food for most plants and is made for use with water.
I will see if I can get hold of such a large bottle of the glue, here you only see tiny amounts.
I will pop by to see how your doing and follow you. 🙏

Moss spores are everywhere so if you can get some soil from a garden or some potting mix and keep it well watered with adequate light, you'll be able to grow your own. I guess it also depends where you live and what the climate is like.

I’m new to this terrarium hobby and i was wondering where to put my closed and open terrariums. I thought of putting it next to my window (the windows has privacy stickers on it). But some say not to put it next to the window. And i don’t have led lights so i gave up that idea, any help please?

@@TheUrbanNemophilist In my experience a tiny bit tends to remain. I guess it is not significant for most people. But I had terrible problems w/ white slime killing the plants & clogging the filters in my fish tanks. I worked hard to "cycle the tanks" but never got it right. I think maybe there are bacteria or fungus spores in my environment that most people do not have to deal with. But I have had success with sealed plant terrariums in the past. Now I'm thinking about making a terrarium with springtails for the first time. Which species of springtails do you recommend?
