Sinner is in ridiculous form. He's 9-1 in the last 10 matches against top 5 opponents.. including 3 wins against Djokovic and Medvedev
Nol a "mal" joué ?
As tu écouté le match?
I know this is controversial but Djokovic should consider retiring while he has his amazing stats against rivals and if he wants to maintain his aura of invincibility. Sinner has his number in the last few months. While Djokovic may get his revenge, the chances are youth will prevail over age. It's not that different to him and Federer except the age between him and the young gen breaking through is far greater. He doesn't have to play badly, just like Federer wasn't playing badly but the younger opponents might have the believe now that he is beatable and will turn the H2H in their favour.
@@kweizi5712
He doesn't have to maintain anything - he's the GOAT by a long shot, and most of his records won't be touched.
If he was so concerned with his aura, he would have caved in and gotten the clot shot.
@@kweizi5712 should he have retired after he lost wimbledon? not like he won the US open straight after... oh wait he did
He seems to have implied that it takes sinner playing out of his skin and him playing his worst in order to lose and that’s just not true.
Djokovic was obviously ill the entire Open - which was obvious. A healthy Djokovic would not have lost in the manner in which he did. If you don't realize that, you are an ignoramus of the first water!
@marlenebuls9535 OK thanks
Can we talk about hsieh su wei! She won mixed and women doubles. She one tournament away from completing her career grand slam!
Nobody looks like themselves when they play against a top player in their prime, Sinner deserves more credit by putting the pressure on Djokovic and forcing errors.
Well they go down as unforced error but I call a lot of those “forced unforced errors” it was Sinners relentless pressure which made Djokovic think more about his shots and/or going for too much, which creates all those unforced errors, but again it was Sinners who kind of “forced” all those unforced errors.
@@GaryLyons stop it man, Sinner played at a greater level in all 3 previous matches and didn't make Nole fudge. Novak just had an off-day, and btw, he had a fallout with Ivanisevic prior to the match, wouldn't be surprised if team changes are incoming.
@@slXD100 I agree Sinner was playing at a far higher level. We saw what beast mode Djokovic can do to Sinner at the ATP finals final match. I wasn’t aware of the Ivanisevic thing. If true that could explain his lack of focus.
@@slXD100If you look at those 3 matches you can see that Novak won at the ATP finals by serving well and hitting his forehand much bigger than he normally does and he displayed an insane level of tennis there. But it also shows that he made this adjustment against Sinner because he feels he would get hit off the court if he doesn't.
So if you combine Novak making this adjustment and him not fully being at 100% you get exactly what happened in the semi's. So yes Novak had an off day but it's also because of the pressure that Sinner has put on him.
@@Nostalgia.14reAs a Sinner fan I must agree that the Fedal fans being happy purely because Novak lost are being very salty.
Regardless of who you support it's always great to see a legend of the game do well, especially at an older age.
But there are also some normal fans out here who are just happy that Sinner won.
Even on his best day Sinners form would be formidable. If you want to beat Novak you have to play 2 classes above him, cause of his game style. What sinner did and how he did it was huuuuge.
Did Novak's opponents played two (2) levels above him when he lost, during his early years???
@@dominicakenu4450 that's the problem.... You have to play 2 levels above to keep it close..... Best example Wimbledon 2019...Federer was 2 levels above but in clutch situations Noles game is.. Easier to perform. He mastered that. Thats nothing against nole it is what it is.
Oh man, all these videos and comments "do you see anyone stopping Djokovic" or "Only being defaulted can stop him" absolutely jynxed Djokovic. He definitely needed some heckler to wake up and take a win, Sinner was amazing.
Great summary - fantastic tournament
Yes thanks for the upload. Please explain what's going on to FAA. I'll subscribe.
The man has been so dominant in GS finals over the years. I think he's entitled to one bad day at the office every now and then. People search for drama where there really is none. It's like, he lost in a final... Oh no, that means his career is going to decline now. I don't think so.
Keep making weekly roundups please
Despite the fact that they both play comparable tennis, Sinner is much younger than Djokovic and more determined to prove himself and start winning on the most important courts and competitions. I think that Djokovic begins to feel a tinge of worry and uncertainty about his ability to succeed when he has to play Sinner.
MAN JUST APPRECIATE SINNER . HE IS IN BEST FORM AND A BETTER PLAYER OF THE DAY.
Felix forearm is diff then it used to be it’s not as snappy and lacks the power it used to have. Maybe a confidence thing or he changed his swing form
I’m disappointed that Zverev didn’t win as he’s worked so hard since his injury. Although I’m really happy for Daniil, I just wanted Sascha to get through to the finals.
Sacha's recovery from that gruesome injury at Roland Garros has been remarkable. He'll be back.
I really hope you get over your disappointment or I won’t be able to sleep at all worrying about you princess

Douchy comment
please teach me the rizz
If he gets charged in his May court date he potentially won’t be allowed to return to Australia due to our domestic violence laws - same has happened with people like Chris Brown etc.
Love this format! Keep em coming.
Please make a video about Felix. I think he's too serious, never looks like he's having fun out there, and his tennis IQ seems suspect. He shines in team formats, but can't seem to break through in the big individual events...
What say you?
Why? He's not going anywhere! His window has closed!
@@quentincrisp6933
Maybe. But an investigative video about it could be interesting. You have the choice not to watch it - meanwhile, other tennis fans might want to know.
@quentincrisp6933 You have been everywhere, and your window is open.
Please elaborate.
Because, actually, he is not as good as people think he is. I was surprised when i checked his win percentage, only 59%, mediocre at best. Good players like medveded, sinner, zverev have around 70%, and legends like federer, nadal, djokovic have 80% ++. Alcaraz has 78% and he is almost up there with the legends. Win percentages don't lie. It's a number that shows a players consistency.
Correct! FAA is just a good player not a great player or an elite player!@@harimonting01
Boy it was hearth break in AO where Novak is king but i have to congrats Sinner he was better player but it hurt bad.
Yes it hurt me too
Djokovic says it was his worst performance in GS. We already saw him losing to Melzer and Cechinatto. common.
I think he just refers to the amount of unforced errors he had in this match ...
Who's here after Jannik took the title!?!
17:44 why was meddy saying 'neymar'?
Tennis Plus, how are you calculating the "2195 day" Australian Open streak (at 17:00 in the video)? That doesn't match what I'm calculating.
Hold up, I seem to remember you as a ballperson at the US Open, but can't quite remember your name, perhaps you'll remember me as Keenan? 😮😮😮
Yes haha! Noah said he remembers you and said "Nothing like those glory days!"
I don't blame Djokovic for preferring his rivalry against younger gen... the crowds are on his side when he is up against younger gen compared to when he is up against Rafa or Roger... even Andy.
So in order for him to lose they had to slow the court down, bring fluffy heavy balls that push longer rallies, put Djokovic through hell of a draw, make the old man suffer under heat 2 times (weather was nice the 1st one though), give his opponent a red carpet to semis and make them play at his (Sinners) preferred time-slot, yet, wrist-injured, flu-troubled old man still took the hardest guy on tour into 4 sets in his worst match in slams in past decade and a half. They are desperate to get rid of him, hope he will close the door with at least few more slams with him. And yeah, Sinner played great. Halep and Serena's coach seems to know what magic potion he lacked
I think this video could be even better if you start at 0:24, then after the mini recap do 0:00, just my two cents, epic video regardless though
Always “some or other reason” …
Djokovic played poorly because he was being beaten like a drum by Sinner. Many of his "unforced errors" were caused by the intense pressure Sinner had him under.
Please. Novak simply played terribly and Sinner didn't even need his A game.
@@yanair2091 He was only terrible in sets 1 and 2. In sets 3 and 4 he was mediocre, but still good enough to beat most players. Novak didn’t win this match for 2 reasons:
1) He played a really bad first two sets
2) Unlike other players who lose to Novak after leading, Sinner maintained the same level of play in all 4 sets
Novak was legit sick and drained. He seemed disinterested and lethargic in the first two sets, ridiculous amount of unforced errors and his legendary return game wasn't there at all. No fiery competitive spirit either. Very uncharacteristic.
@@yanair2091exactly
If sinner was beating him like drum why he couldn't do that in 3rd set?
It should be straight set victory no.
The Australian open is so difficult because of the jet lag it is hard to snap out of
"Wasn't Sinner merit, Djokovic played poorly. Djokovic wasn't himself. Djokovic had the flu....bla bla bla"

Sure bud. Last 4 matches against Sinner was 3 victories for Sinner and just 1 for Nole. I guess that Nole playing terrible in a lot of matches...uh?
Enough excuses. Is the third time that Sinner outplay him. If it was just once i would have accepted all the "he played terribly, he wasn't himself" etc...but at this point you're denying the reality.
