I was at a festival recently and one of the DJ’s sampled the final refrain from Pasta in one of their songs. I did not go to that festival thinking I was going to be singing along with your voice with tens of thousands of other strangers that night. It was beautiful and it made me cry tears of joy and sadness all at the same time. Because that’s what your music does to me. I’d love to see you perform live one day. Your music is beautiful and so is your soul. ❤
I totally agree with your beautiful words of gratitude.🥰🙏🏽 She is amazing! I just came across this song about 20 minutes ago after it was used as background music of an animation artists Facebook post.🎶💜
Her voice reminds of Florence Welch with a little bit of Laura Marling. Her lyrics are incredible and pierce right through the soul, she's not going to be under the radar for long.
those few lines before the bittersweet instrumental perfectly describe the first date of what became the biggest relationship of my adult life, which subsequently ended a few long weeks ago. miss and cherish you always fireball whiskey.
Since I first heard this whole album there has not been a single day where I haven’t listened to it! The outro particularly gets to me - true, true artistry ✨
The way this album has spoken to my soul and current experiences so far is mind blowing--and we only have three songs off it!!! I can't wait to hear the rest, this is truly beautiful and I'm so glad your music exists. 💚
I love the way this melody washes over me, so gently, so comforting. The honesty and vulnerability of the lyrics is, as always, a highlight. Another amazing track, this album is going to be on high rotation.
I just found the email about the release. I fell in love with you a couple of years ago when I stumbled across your cover of Tea, milk, and honey. I then found “If you call” which just made me want to listen to your entire collection. I’ve cried along with you more than once before today. ❤🙏
We were sat last night talking in silence, this song came on and it felt so awful to listen to this beautiful piece 😔 we both knew what was coming next, we ended it this morning.. both of us are broken 💔😞
When you put out the video for 'Staying Down Low' I remember wishing I could hear the rest of the album that song might someday be on, and now with every new song from that album I am looking forward to the moment I can sit down and listen to it from beginning to end. The weeks can't go by fast enough. Much like 'Staying Down Low' when it first came out, I find myself listening to these three new ones over and over and over again.
I don't think I know of another artist quite like Angie! First heard of her because she covered a Frightened Rabbit song (My Backwards Walk) and fell in love with her ever since. So happy that we are getting new songs from her. Her lyrics are filled with so much hope/heartache/humour/melancholy/love Never had the chance to see her live but next time she makes it to Scotland I will be in the front row 🙌
you are amazing songwriter love from Pasta to this amazing song. One of the best talents to come out of Australia. 😊 hopefully I can see you at the London gig 😊
Really original song lyrics which work so well, very engaging voice. Again I love the builds you use in your music with the vocals. I hope this brings you great success but you already have that, and thanks for the environmental message. Love from Spain
This is marvellous Angie, thank you for being you and turning these feelings into something beautiful to share with us. I do love fireball but it's deffinatly nicer on the way in instead of out 🤣♥️
If I'm not mistaken, Angie will be at the Reeperbahnfestival in Hamburg the same day as Billy Bragg. Wouldn't that be nice, if Angie invited Billy to join the stage with her (or the other way round, or both)? I hope that NDR Blue will broadcast both gigs, as they usually do with so many other Reeperbahnfestival concerts.
And maybe Angie can persuade her friends from Camp Cope to come to Germany for at least one more tour. It's a pity I've never seen them live and maybe never will ...
This has a deeper musical depth to it than a lot of the neo-folk people from the 2000s( Iron and Wine, Devendra Banhart, The Decemberists). This has a Springsteen-like toning down of the artifice while still using what worked from yesteryear. That might sound like a cynical criticism, but what I submit to you is that close to zero artists can do that effectively while still producing well-written songs (Kurt Cobain, Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan and *sometimes* Springsteen). She's one in a million, you just needed to know why first.
If you ever get up to the northern Midwest, you may have to alter your "land acknowledgement" a bit. You see, the Kiowa originally owned the Black Hills area of the Dakotas, but the Cheyenne viciously drove them off of their land and claimed it for their own. Years later, the Sioux came along and drove the Cheyenne out of the area through vicious warfare. Eventually, people descended for Europeans took the land from the Sioux. This is not just the history of the Dakotas. It happened all over North and South America. My question is: Why is it only the Europeans that the Left demonizes? "Stolen" land is stolen land, is it not? I like your music, but your uninformed dabbling in politics is just a complete turnoff. Learn some history before you parrot the Left's idiocy.

Everytime i listen to this song my emptiness gets a bit of peace and slowly by slowly i feel whole once again.

The smooth flow of words Angie chooses never ceases to amaze me. So beautiful!
Love the comment " I feel more like an emotional tidal wave...", that's such a fitting description.
Can’t recall being as ecstatic about an album before

Can I beg you to find a way to collaborate with Gregory Alan Isakov? 🔥❤
Your smile is infectious, there should be a billboard of your smiling face on every street corner to brighten peoples day!
Huh another McMahon in the wild.

She is an excellent writer as has been noted. Glad I ran across this.
The lyric, the music, the voice. The beauty of everything ❤.
