Thanks for your review! I bought one and the board is totally freaking awesome! It has tones of control so I feel confident while setting up for tricks
Respect!
What’s your opinion on the dicey and the slash happy place for a 75% park/25 playing around the mountain
Happy Place is going to be stiffer that’s for sure. You see the review of this that’s my thoughts on the Dicey.
How does this compare against the Jibsaw for general all mountain usage for an intermediate on the east coast?
Different edge engagement, Jibsaw has better edge hold throughout the sidecut this is more underfoot. Flexwise you're splitting hairs as they're pretty similar. In terms of snap I think the Dicey has a bit more pop.
Hey Angry there have been lots of chat online about Yes having production issues with quality of their boards. Have they in recent times fixed this? I’ve seen so many complaints online about their build quality
Are you talking about the first or second year boards? The ones that were built in a completely different factory using completely different methods?
@@AngrySnowboarder I’m not exactly sure on that but is there a year that after that the boards build quality increased? I don’t have personal experience with this first hand but been reading some posts about it
Sounds like people are talking out their ass on shit from almost 15 years ago when the boards were built in Tunisia. There’s always going to be shit breaking and a vocal minority that thinks they know what they’re talking about because they’re pissed their shit broke whether self inflicted or part of the .02% manufacturers fault.
@@AngrySnowboarder awesome that’s good to know. I have a 2019 Jackpot I bought after watching your review that held up nicely but haven’t purchased another Yes board since then… looking at a Dicey now so good to know thanks for the tip.
I own a Salomon Dancehaul 147 which I bought based on your review. And I really love it on the groomer and in trees! So I want to say thank you!
Now I'm looking for a park board, where I just started. Want to progress in jumps most of the time and would like to have something forgiving with good pop. Would say I'm quit good at carving on groomers but really new to the park. What would be a good choice? Dicey? Rome Party Mod? Bataleon Evil Twin? Or something different?
5'8", 155 lbs, US8.5
Grab the Dicey.
@@AngrySnowboarder Thank you very much! Because you own a Party Mod: May I ask where this board is better/worse, than the Dicey?
You need some camber under your feet to learn how to hit jumps. It'll make you a more competent rider.
Will you be reviewing the Yes PYL anytime soon?
Good day to you sir.
How does it feel compared to greats in terms of stiffness/butterability and pop?
Do you recommend this for a beginner to intermediate rider for park or something like the Huck Knife or Indoor Survival? Don’t want to have to worry about growing out a board quickly.
I'd go with this.
@@AngrySnowboarder Perfect, thanks!
@@AngrySnowboarder Looking at evo right now, is a size 152 a good size? I'm 5'9, around 120lbs, size 8.5 boots. They also have the Jackpot available in a 154 in case 152 is pushing a bit too much on the smaller side.
@@h3yb4ws 52 for sure. Even a 50 would be fine.
I have a standard and love it but thinking about getting this board to progress in the park. For size, would you stick to the weight recommendation? I’m 6’ 185 lbs size 10/10.5 boot, so 156 seems like a good option
Bump down to the 54.
Would you choose the Yes Dicey or K2 Manifest for a good all mountain option?
Those are on two completely opposite sides of the spectrum here bud.
Would this be good for beginners? One who can do s turns (more like chain C’s turns )
Wouldn’t be my first choice.
Hey Avran, did you have any issues riding this in a 152 with your boot size? I'm thinking of getting the 154 for my size 11 boots. Also thinking of riding these with my union contact pros.
Thanks! (One day I shall ride full camber)
I did not.
This board sounds perfect for me.
Buy 10.
what's that Yes board with the tigers on it in the background?
I'm too lazy to go to their website to look it up, you should go do that.
Nice land brover discovery. Real nice bro 😎
Hello Avran would you recommend the 156 or 158 as a fairly new park rider? I am 6’1 & 180 lbs thanks for your videos
Forgot to mention I’m also an 11.5 boot
You're going to need a wide.
Hi !, I need an advice, what lenght shoul I choose for this board. I am 165 cm tall and I have 98 kg, 8 US boot size, M size bindings, beginner level (lets say an advance beginner :D). Should I stay with Dicey or should i go for the basic ?
Get the Basic.
Hey, I am looking into buying a dedicated park board after I ripped the edge off of my 2018 159 Yes Standard while trying to Jib. The dicey interests me as it is a bit cheaper (I don't want to be scratching up and destroying a 500 euro+ snowboard) and appears to be a good all around park board for progressing ( I would say I am beginner-intermediate in the park).
I weigh 82kg (around 185lbs I think), have EU 44 boots (10.5 US I believe) and Arbor Cypress bindings, I saw you recommended a 154 board for someone with similar weight to me but 185lbs is outside the recommended weight range for the 154, is that not a problem? I was eying up the 156. As a side note, I always felt that my 159 Yes standard was making it a bit more difficult for me in the park, especially with things like butters, jibbing etc. due to it being a bit too large.
So, what size would you reccommend me 154 or 156? Also, are there any other good cheaper all round park boards I can look at? Thanks!
Get the 54 for your skill level and what you want it'll help you immensely.
@@AngrySnowboarder Thanks a bunch for the answer!
I can actually buy the yes jackpot for the same price as the dicey. It's a more jump oriented board from what I have seen.
Should I buy that one instead?
No, I think the Dicey is going to be better for your progression.
@@AngrySnowboarder would the K2 line up binding be a good fit?
This a good board to get after owning a yes basic?
If you're looking for a park board.
It’s my second season on groomer and I would like to get into ground tricks. How more difficult is Jackpot compare to Dicey for beginners? Jackpot is sold at the same price as Dicey, not sure if I should go with Jackpot.
Get the Dicey.
@@AngrySnowboarder thanks!!
@@AngrySnowboarder thanks!! Another question about the size, on the size chart for Dicey, 152cm for 110-150lbs. I am at 158lbs and ride 155cm all mountain board. Can I go with 152cm on dicey or I should follow their size chart and get 154 instead?
What do ya think
I'm in between beginner and intermediate and always ride at the park. Will this be a great board to get for my first? I spend too much money on rentals
Yes.
Nice review, i currently ride the old yes jackpot and love it, but find struggles to get pop on the bigger jumps, been thinking about getting the updated jackpot, is it worth it?
New Jackpot is full camber.
Would this be a good board to begin learning park on?
Yes!
Hey Angry, any plans to release a top 5 park board list for this season?
For free!?!
It's done just not filmed.
@@AngrySnowboarder I ended up going with the dicey as my first park board and I love it! Got it based off your old jackpot review since it’s the same shape and camber profile. Thanks for the all the videos! Keep up the hard work!
There is a lot going on with that graphic. Whoa!
Its UglyAF
any plans that the gear sherpa will accept paypal in the future? :D
