Really appreciate your explanation of normal flash and see flash. First time I've seen anybody do it. kona328WH Actually it didn't quite work. The same old ROM remained for some reason. Though the OTA update now works which is the main thing so all flippin' good!!!

+Rootjunky.com hello i need help with my LG G4 i dont understand much of this kinda stuff but i wana fix it My model number is LG-H812 an its on Fastboot mode i think i have to unbrick it some how it wont go on download mode it wont even get on recovery well it does but it goes back to the screen where it usually left off an it doesnt get recognized that its attached to the computer when the usb is plugged in i can show you pics of what its happening to my phone i really need help i want my phone back i hope its not that hard to fix =( please get ahold of me an we can work things out Thanks if so helped need it
Guys if this happened to your phone, then you have to put your phone into download mode and download the LG Bridge tool (LG website). Be sure to set the LG driver properties to COM 41. After you click on the software update tab, it will automatically start downloading / flashing.
This was the ONLY method that fixed my boot loop bricked LG G4 H-815!
Plz tell me how to set the lg driver properties

+Zainap Borzieva just connect your phone in download mode. then on your pc open device administrator and then go to COM PORT. there you will se the LG G4 connection. right click, properties. port setting, advance, and then change the port to 41. acept and OK.

it is much preferable to use win7 instead of win8 or 8.1 there is a lot of driver problem with win8 so i tried it on another device and it worked on my other laptop using win7. please don't forget to update your c++
If you get CONNECTION TO SERVER FAILED in the LG Flash Tool 2014, do NOT press OK. You can leave that dialog box open while the phone flashes. This will save you many headaches.

+Rootjunky.com my g4 is the Sprint ls991 version zv6. I would like to root, but the pre rooted system image is built on zv5. can I root with the zv5 over my zv6? if not, can I kdz downgrade to zv5 or zv4 using this method? thank you

oh my god , thank you so much you truly helped me to unbrick my phone I had unlocked the bootloader via lg devs and flashed twrp but every time I clicked reboot it just sent me back to twrp recovery I thought I'd bricked my phone you are a fucking hero......

BROOOO Does this work on unrooted phones? I used to have root and then unrooted it. the reason why I need to do this is because lg still detects that I rooted my phone before.

Ah, some people are getting this error msg 'Connection to server failed, try again in a moment' DON'T CLICK OK, the S/W update is in progress just move the window aside and you can see the process is working on your phone. I'm unsure why this error occurs.
I followed the step from the video however a error "Connection to server failed Try again in a moment." showed up. Could you tell me how to solve it?

Ok FYI to all Verizon users. Verizon lg drivers MUST be used or this will not work and you will get a " cable is disconnected error". Again use the VERIZON lg drivers and not the ones mentioned in the video. thanks
You cant even download from that KDZ website. There's nothing clickable.

I installed the kdz file on my phone using lg up tool..... everything was done well but after that my phone isn't turning on...no logo just black screen......any solution guys!!!!

Zct Gamer my dear friend, i surrended after i read several post on a very popular forum about at&t blocking (somehow) the phone in order to apply those kde or firmawe or whatever, my only hope its to wait for the release of Nougat for this device, still, i will look and publish the link i found for you.
Well ok but I just bought this phone and I was so happy, then i decided to try rooting it using the low effort way on xda but now i cant do anything about it and really fucking pissed because nothing i ever do works. EVER!
in fact, if I run the software I get this kind of message "problem with communication between cell phone and PC". I already installed the drivers though.

I did everything perfectly. My mobile did reboot with welcome tone. but didn't showed the screen. It gave booted welcome tone & also sensor light. but after that it's doing nothing except a sound signal like -"Tok----tok----tok" after every 2sec nonstop! LED notification light is also jumping nonstop. & nothing is working right now. nothing! just nonstop tok-tok !

Firmware site has nothing on it. There's no way to restore android versions if you don't update it or tell us how we can fix it.
What happens if you don't get the drivers cause I only got the KDZ File

What if the phone was never rooted? Mine has been acting up since the latest OTA update and I am wanting to download and reflash the phone with computer. I have already replaced the battery, wiped cache partition, and factory wipe but it still is not working properly. I think it was a corrupted OTA file.

The H811 kdz files don't show up anyone have them, its the lg g4 for T-Mobile? ok nvm I found it on the xda forum you have the link to. But now when I run everything I get the connection server failed and I also ignored it and moved it to the side and yes the bar was progressing only 3 percent thnen that window changed to "upgrade stop due to an error' then gives me steps to remove the battery inserted again and plug it back in etc. Ive tried that already multiple times but still nothing yet.. :(
