I’m 61 and my husband is 65 and we both have one of these bikes and love them! He’s 6’2” and it’s plenty big enough bcos the handlebars and seat adjust. The seat has loads of potential adjustment. The bikes are quite heavy, but amazing to ride. The hills just make us smile!
I brought the same one a few days ago , struggling everyday on the way to and from work sweating my arse off on my mountain bike 😒 not anymore those hills can fuck off lol i just power up those hills now , no more struggling, i love this bike 😊
I've heard from different channels and people in the comments about other engwe bikes how they say it's a 250w bike just to get past the pathetic 250w law. So I can only assume it's the same for this one? It might be 500-750w when unlocked? Also I'm not an expert but 48v seems high for 250w bike? Your right about not using your bike again, I bought my mam an ebike, tried it out and I ended up selling my bike and now I use hers until I can find myself a ebike for myself. I've viewed loads but I think this is the bike for me.
Unless this was used for work and going from A-B how would someone secure this if they went shopping etc as in the UK things get stolen in broad daylight. I'd love a bike like this but i'd be too scared to leave it chained up if i went in to town etc etc?
i weigh about 110kg I'd like to get back on the saddle again and i hear its very comfortable to ride. its fairly flat where i live with a few inclines and just wondering if this bike would have enough grunt to haul this lump of gristle along😆
Ye I was thinking of going for the ADO Beast aswell just because of its looks but ye it is only 36V which puts me off I had the ADO 20f UX and the battery was wasn't worth the price I paid I was lucky to get to and from work with it ended up selling it
Not so much a lie as a specific set of circumstances. The 20 something miles range is throttle only, if you wanted to eke the most out of the battery you'd be looking at the lowest pedal assist mode and you'd probably have to be on the flat for the most part. I still don't think you get anywhere near 120km though.
@@HellbellyUK i got the bike, i have been using it from a week now, i am using it for doing delivery, it get's me thru 6 hrs shift with 1 and sometimes 2 battery bars left so i would say the range is good for me.
Love the video mate. Great review and have subscribed. Please could you tell me how tall you are ? I am 6ft 4 so would it be suitable for me ? I love the fact you can pedal OR Throttle only having had double knee replacements. 😊
Hi mate, thanks very much. I’m 5’9 and 82kg although my friend has the exact same bike and is 6’4 130 ish kg and we both get on just fine. I think they are rated for 6’2 on the website
Another 'review' for a de-restricted i.e illegal mode on this bike. I don't live in the USA but the UK and just want a UK spec review. I'm looking for a real world review of the bike in it's restricted legal uk mode. I must be the only person trying to be a responsible legal e-bike user in this country 🤔

Mate, Excellent review - purchased this bike after watching your video!
if i was to unlock the motor to get around 18-20mph how long would battery last rougly in mixed terrain? (flats and hills)

Just ordered the same one , normal mountain bike is hard work cycling to work
Is the engwe engine x legal to use on the roads in Ireland?
Quick enough to return to “ legal “ if caught by the fuzz .
Exactly 🤣
Got the same bike tried unlocking it but error 25 comes up not 22 , weird looked at other RUclips vids and they all have 22 not 25
Which battery did you use?
The 13 amh or the 16 amh?
Thank you for showing us how to unlock its true potential 😉
I wish the m20 was the same, because that bike is BEAUTIFUL! but unfortunately 750w
I have ordered one of these bikes through the bike to work scheme i cannot wait 😁😁
Any issues please let me know and I’ll help you get a quick result
Me too they will delivery it tomorrow
@@jrddh5115 lucky! I'm still waiting to hear about my delivery.
Thank you for this review, i bought the Pro 2 abs it too heavy for me, looking to sell it, ill get this one and it looks smaller and lighter.
The only review av seen were shows you how to unlock the throttle 👍
Is it best to order direct from Engwe or are there reputable distributors?

Paint it flamingo pink, and strap a Palestine and a rainbow flag on it.
No man’s going anywhere near that 😉

just ordered a red engine x for £900, bargain.
@@simonjohnhinton1938 That is a bargain. Where did you get it so cheap?
how do you get the faster speed or does it come with turning the thottle on many thanks
If you cheek RUclips there's a video looks very easy
Thanks 😎😎💯✌️
Good review, I'm torn between this and the L20. I live up 6 flights of stairs so maybe the engine x is gonna win.
I’ve just got the L20 for review so will be uploading as soon as I can for another comparison of their products
Looking for a legal uk bike. Torn between this and the ado a20f beast. If the beast genuinely has more torque I'll probably get it.
A20F Beast is only 36V. I would not go for anything less than 48V, personally.

How can it go that fast with a 250 motor. It must be more than 250.

20-22 miles was just by throttle only?
Yes
That doesn't look anywhere close to 32mph. Are you sure you haven't got the display set to show kilometres/hour? ?
@@gedofgont1006 nope
Bruce Banner Bike
I thought it did more than 22miles from watching other videos on it ?.
I get 22 in the top speed level derestricted. Keep it restricted and you’ll obviously get more.
It will do a lot more in pedal assist.
