Water mist : droplet size will be around 25 micron If 100 ml Sodium hypochlorite mixed with 9.9 liter water as per guide line then what will be effectiveness further in 25 micron droplets to cover maximum area with minimum water without cleaning with hot water prior to application and further without moping. Will this type of disinfectant be safe looking to risk of Covid-19. Has it been certified by any competent authority. As per guide line Sodium Hypochlorite can be used as disinfectant with given procedure. Have they mentiined it to use in form of fine droplets to cover maximum area with minimum water. Can we rely on disinfectant method by using water mist technology. Questions arised due to contradictory speech/statement given in demonstration through Video clip. I raised this matter due to 10 minutes per surface. Another issue are (01) Availability of high pressure air compressor and refilling facilities for such high pressure air cylinders as it has been taken in generalised way. I think even as on date water mist fire extinguishers are also not available in all ARTs. (02) usage on concentration of sodium hypochlorite advised in guide line for cleaning of various types of surfaces. (03) Internal sanitisation of coach as this suits to external body of coach. Due to high pressure either jet/spray we can not stand nearby without complete PPEs. (04) Washing of hand with any soap solution has been advised for atleast 20 seconds to suppress the possibilities of virus. In water mist if we consider discharge time of 1 time filled this type of portable back pack type fire extinguisher (approximately 28 seconds maximum) wrto actual time required for suppressing/killing the virus. Number of cylinders per coach if use properly at one place for minimum 20 secs will be more. (05) Advantages / disadvantage wrto hand or battery operated dispenser. (06) Mounting of SCBA/Air bag/Inflatable tent air cylinders and comfortability during usage or operation in this portable back pack type water mist fire extinguisher. I have raised questions wrto generalised words used in demonstration without knowing the availability of such infrastructure in all our ARTs in IR. As far sanitisation is concerned we can come up with safe and easy to operate aspect with available general resources.
