dude actually made a 23 minute video about pop island entertaining, this was actually a game I grew up with and it’s super wacky that someone reviewed it in this much detail considering how obscure it is. liked this a ton, i hope more people find this and you go down in history for popularizing the pop island franchise as it deserves
this game went so hard as a kid. i honestly forgot about it but i remembered how happy i was back when i had my nintendo handheld consoles. the nostalgia triggered when i saw the “popcap” developer logo when downloading the Plants vs Zombies sequel game on my ps4 and i couldn’t for the life of me remember what the game was. i figured since it was triggered by “pop” then it may have been a game by popcap. i had no luck when looking at all the games they were involved in and it was driving me crazy that i couldn’t find this game. i was googling “animal head dsi games” and “animal racing games” and shoot like that. then this morning i vaguely remembered that i think the game might have been like a ctf style game, so i tried looking up “capture the flag dsi game” and this beauty was the first result. i’m really glad i was able to find it over a decade later :) i appreciate you making this video for us small bunch
Dude I loved this game, sadly some idiot broke my screen off my DSI and I've been pissed ever since. At some point I'm going to see if I can download it onto a SD card so I can play it again
Hey BenniM, I recently bought a DSi XL and soft modded the device to run DSiware roms. Thanks to the Internet Archieve, they have preserved all of pop island games and I put them on my DSi, now I am able to play all those amazing classics once again! I sure as hell had a blast back when pop island series first launched.

Luckily I still have Pop Island games on my 3ds, I even gave my little sister a demo on her ds and she likes it. hopefully they will come back and I will welcome them with open arms

Well if you try hard enough you might find a rom for it in an emulator. But that could be risky (and illegal). Other than that, you could try to find a DSI or 3DS for sale that has it installed, or wait for it to not come to the Wii U ds virtual console.

It'd be so cool if they were to ever remaster this for the Switch or something, maybe even an android release. Though truthfully I don't know how well it'd work in the current day and age which has changed very much. + Back then the low price, the limited dsi ware library and the multiplayer download feature really carried it towards actual reception. Needless to say that I'd still buy into a new take on the pop island franchise.

There's no fucking way Nebraska could've done it by itself, their R&D facilities are too underdeveloped. They must have needed help from the true mastermind. We, the PNW, must work together and eliminate the true mastermind, Ohio.
Damn, I loved this game, always played it with my siblings and friends. A shame that its gone on the eshop (you can still pirate it i mean hacking a 3ds nowadays isnt hard haha). Anyways that was a very good video and i want to thank you that you showed me what happenwd after the dsi games! And yeah, a Switch Game would be amazing....i dont know if it will come tho....
