Be cool to see this bow turn into the “most purchased” setup like most purchased arrows, broadheads, accessories and see what the mass public purchasing consensus ends up like and how it does

One thing I really appreciated about Chris is taking time to share gear that is more affordable for a majority of folks. Not many channels do that, most of them are pushing the most expensive gear out there. Which is fine, but it is great to see someone as talented as Chris helping others along that might not be able to afford the top end gear. It was great to see Chris shoot an entry level bow way better than most can shoot a flagship - it is all about the shooter for the most part! Thank you!

Yes, run that sight please! Get a Bee Stinger Hunter 8 inch front bar or even a Trophy Ridge (since you’re doing budget). Throw some limb savers in there for sound as well. Would love to even see you use a budget arrow such as the Easton 6.5’s or Gold Tip Hunter. Maybe even a budget release. A Scott Pursuit thumb button is what I run. Keep it all budget for us that can’t afford the heavy hitters yet! Don’t skimp on the board heads though, as a hunter you can’t afford to be cheap with broad heads.

I shot a 4 pin sight a true glow one for 12 years. I felt with it it was ok sight. Nothing wrong with the sight. But it is way to busy for me my sight picture was very busy. So 3 years ago I switched to a hha tetra .019 pin size and I loved the sight so much much cleaner less busy sight. I got the .019 since I will never shoot 70-100 yards so I am ok more far out you get the more the pin covers. My sight does not dove tail mount into the bow which I am ok with. Bolts on the side of the bow.

Budget stabilizer systems on this bow would be cool I know I never used side stabilizers until this year because I was afraid of brush and inconvenience on drives etc. hunting in northern New England I don’t have the luxury of field hunting we are hunting through shrub oak and rose bushes but I will say stabilizing my bow was a far worse sacrifice then mobility I have never been more consistent and confident so I think a lot of people would benefit from a total budget lesson on pros of cons of all budget accessories myself included great content Chris I have learned a lot from you man

Definately leave the cheap sight on it. Most folks who cant afford an expensive bow arent slapping 500 dollar sight setups on thier bows. While I shoot a newer mathews I enjoy watching this content. Humbles me knowing an expensive setup does not make you a better archer, and when there are issues knowing its more than likely the shooter. I agree with @Jbowling6 previous comment about the most purchased setup as in arrows and broadheads etc. would be a cool video series.

I think you need to set up this budget bow with budget equipment, to show hunters you don't need to have the top of the line archery equipment to be proficient in harvesting a deer. While I shoot a more midrange bow and equipment. Like most of your videos on hunting and bow videos, keep it up. We are watching.

  • @vietnv788

Looks exactly like the Trophy Ridge Cypher 5, also a budget sight i started with, they're good to get you started with the basics, but if you want to 'up your bow game', Axcel, Spothogg, Tetra etc is the better choice. I'm running the Landslyde with UV3XL, 1 pin for hunting, and the target kit for 3d. I think that such mid range sights are most bought by people who start in archery or even stepping up a bit, hence 'the most sold sight'

Budget friendly is important, but consider overall weight; I usually buy lightweight bows (sub 4 lb) then work on accessories that keep it as light as possible. If this is going to be exclusively for hunting, also keep in mind that you will be carrying the bow sometimes all day, and maneuvering thru brush, trees and sometimes crawling. I do like the whisker biscuit for, weight, simplicity and field function; I know you loose a little accuracy and small amount of speed, but you can’t beat it for quiet function and holding an arrow while moving. So, please let us know overall weight once complete! Thanks man…

I’d like to see you try a rear gun type sight like the peep eliminator. Since I just started archery a year ago and didn’t really have any previous experience, but had more experience with guns… the rear gun type sight seemed interesting to me. It works pretty well for me, but I’d be interested to see what somebody who’s always used a peep thinks.

That is a strange sight I googled it. You use a recurve? I don’t understand how that sight works.

I run a peep sight would that take place of a peep sight? Put the v with the sight needle in the v and release the arrow?

@@crossbowhunter9118 No, compound. It basically just creates your hold position. You set it so it falls on one of the pins or some point of the sight, at your natural hold point. So just like when you line up a rear sight with the front sight on a gun... that establishes you're on your hold point, then you aim the appropriate pin just like he's doing here.

@@crossbowhunter9118 Yes... You can choose the lowest pin in the sight as the hold point for the fixed sight. That gives you the repeatable hold point, then aim on whichever pin like normal. There's another one too called Hind Sight... Where it's a circle, and you establish your hold point by centering that circle over the circle of your front sight.

You mentioned you thought Tru Glo made some other accessories like stabilizers. They actually make a drop away test called the Carbon Hybrid that is surprisingly a decent drop away for $40. Be cool to see you run one of those on that setup.

My pins very slightly peak left of my string as well with the Switch weight crosscentric cam designs in my testing with a arrow as a straight edge on the shelf side of the cam at brace runs dead behind the string string at the Dloop to mimic the powerstroke dead behind the string and at full draw on a drawboard it's runs 1/8 Parallel with the string with cables under load very minimal cam lean at brace with free floating yokes spread away from the cams with there brilliant Advanced Vectoring System design.

does this sight have enough room for a 35 pound compound to shoot 40 yards?

Having (usually expensive) individually micro pins makes setup so much easier
I have a 40 $ micro adjust Chinese five pin (pins are individually micro, but the windage and distance are both worm drive ), have always loved the simplicity and idiot proof ness of pins, if I'm shooting well I can keep up with the scope shooters in unmarked
