My wife and I bought this sight at the TAC in TN. It’s the best sight I’ve ever had. The Trophy Ridge guys were awesome in getting us set up. Is definitely recommend this sight for anyone.
I got started shooting archery about 2 years ago now and my first bow (that I still shoot) is a Bear Divergent EKO (incredibly underrated bows IMO, all of the EKO models and the Alaskan) and it's running the standard React Trio Pro on it. Not a bad sight and considering the whole set-up cost me less then my new V3X 33 did as a bare bow... They're really high-value products. Sure there's some cheap junk in there but that's true of a lot of companies. I went full-bore for my new Mathews, Dual Track, Hamskea Epsilon, Lo-Pro Mathews quiver etc. but I still shoot my Bear/TR equipped bow and for tight mountainous stuff like I have out in Idaho and here in OR/WA that 30" ATA bow is awesome and it's flinging my 500gr 4mm arrows at 289fps so... nothing to sneeze at IMO.
I picked up the single pin and have been blown away. This past weekend I shot a 3D course with my buddy. At the end of day decided to see what it could do after shooting 60 yards went out 70 then 80. All on target. Eventually I’ll stretch it out further.
Awesome Chris...I was actually gonna ask you to do a review on this sight last week..I plan on purchasing one, wanted to see how a pro would like it. Now I'm gonna watch the video. But thanks again...long time Hoyt shooter who is now a Mathews shooter, keep up the great videos..been watching since you and your sister started posting on RUclips.
I been running a trophy ridge 5 pin VERTICAL pin for over 20 years...back then they were the only one with multi, vertical pins..not very stout but covers 20-60 with ZERO alteration/variation in your anchor height that you normally get when you adjust for moving the sight housing down as you change yardage and line up peep.....so it's EXACTLY the same shot from 0-60 yards..(and i think it shows on my 50s and 60s in group size compared to when i shoot a 1 pin slider.). instead of a slightly dif anchor height for 20 ,30,40,50 etc its just 1..kinda of a pain after 60..but tooless so i just break loose the lockdown winged hex and slide the housing to a mark for 70..lock it down and use bottom pin..same for 80 ,90 etc..i have to loosen and slide, but mostly just hunt so mostly just shoot out to 60..and on deer i really dont like going past 30 and i really appreciate that exact same anchor height for 0-60. I have broken 3 of them tho...so not the toughest sight but i love the sight picture so much i couldnt go back to horizontal pins after i broke the 1st one..so just bought same 1 , lol 2 more times...its not real expensive..just broke 3 third 1, thinkin maybe spot hog triple stack next...im good with 3 verticals and slider ability for long range practice...but there are 3 dif companies now offering multi pin, verticals so T.R. gonna have to up there game on toughness i think
Chris quotas of the year “I just learned that on the RUclips 🤠” live by that for the rest of our lives😂😂
Chris they also come in a single pin sight...and also a .010 pin as well as a .019 pin
Kool thanks based on your great review …I’m not getting one 🤣😂😅😆😁😄😃😀👌🏾still window shopping 🛍️ 🛒
Great Video, Does Trophy Ridge make a center riser adaptor for Matthews?
*smacks it across table* " perfect I love it" 😂
Can’t wait to see the review you do on the dialed archery sight Arxos paired with the UV scope👌🏽
IMO the Arxos head looks to be a better option the Ultraview does... the relocated Bubble and the 2 pin marker with a larger gap is an awesome idea. I'd like to see 3 pin markers just because it has such a big gap but it looks like a pretty impressive sight.
I have the react one pro, same concept except mechanical, not digital. It has been awesome. Pretty fool proof too, like you mentioned, the further you sight in the second distance, the more accurate it is.
I've used the trophy ridge react for years. Easy to use and accurate.
Traditional bow hunting is where it's at ,all the technology is what's taking the fun out and would like to see you get in to trad you have a great set in mind and alot others would love to see as well
Nooooo
😂 both are awesome
Ok boomer.
I’ve said for years that Archery manufacturers were late to the game in embracing an electronic digital sight. Certainly there are some operational concerns with weather and electronics. However, I’m glad to see this come to market.
Ya so when you don't charge it then what
@@brandinellis2003 then it's your fault or just use the sight tape
My heart skips a beat every-time Chris tosses/slips his Bino's into that chest rig so casually
Hi Chris, what is the power of your compound bow for indoor targets and the 3D course ?
Thanh you … for your answer
I don't use that sight but I have the Trophy Ridge React One Pro and it works really well. It's a little heavy but worth it.
I really feel my "old eyes" would benefit from the digital read out. Gonna have to pick this sight up.
Just got mine and YES this sight is legit. Once you set your 20 and then a 50 your freakin ON! This sight is built well like solid solid. Try it you won’t regret it. Little heavy but cmon, man up and hold it.
I wish I could shoot like you I been thinking of getting a hinge next year hunting is right around the corner but you give me motivation to shoot better I shoot a wrist straight now and I have learned I have target panic bad over the last year or so
I suggest the hinge. I don’t buy new stuff very often. I have bought the new one and it has helped and is great to use! Don’t let anyone tell you they are hard or not for this or that. Good luck!
@@killnme6212
People should just use what fits for them and not care so much about what other people think or use.
Personally I am no fan of hinges, but I totally understand why others are fans of them.
I have shot with compound bows since 1986 and have never experienced target panic, so I guess I am lucky.
Chris - the single pin version can be ordered with a Bridge lock Bracket included. Or for the Trio you can buy the Bridge Lock bracket separate, online at Trophy Ridge. Let me know if you have more questions.
fyi: Trophy Ridge is putting out a Universal Scope Mounting Bracket so you can mount your favorite scope to the sight.
Hope it helps,
John
Have you ever tried out the burris oracle 2? Just got one and think it's pretty cool minus the weight but would love to hear your thoughts.
1:04 yes Chris, I love it to
That’s a smart product idea. Is there an option to choose a 0.010” floater pin size?
Finally!! Now I will probably be able to afford a sight tape style sight!!
What binos are you you using chris bee ? Just trying to find some good ones
great idea. I was searching for this exact product not too long ago. Will buy next time I fill a 100 Dollar car.
I was blown away the first time up i saw one of these.
Good luck finding those two arrows, anytime I ever missed and they go in grass they hide extremely good😂
I’ve been shooting this sight on my new Ventum for a few weeks. Can’t seem to get the digital sight to be accurate past 55. It’s heavy, I miss my Fast Eddie XL
I can't seem to keep my trophy ridge react one pro sighted in. always seems to move after I set it. but they have good ideas.
Just curious, do you think it is possible to put an Ultra View scope on the Digital React
So I won this sight in a contest, and am new to archery. Is it a good idea to sight in the bottom pin at 30 yards? Or will that mess up the technology.
Do you ever French tune your bows? Like for fixed blade broadheads. You should do a video on it.
Just found your channel. Awesome video and I’m subscribed now!
Just an idea could you guys, maybe design and fabricate a arm to make a Ultraview scope fit it. That would be pretty cool...
I’ve seen people put uv’s on trophy ridge sights they say a guy on eBay who makes brackets for the trophy ridge sights, he’s probably working on something for this
@@fishermanc9756 Thanks for that, I'll keep a look out for that. Cheers for sharing...
Really cool tech.
Do you ever shoot fixed pin sights? Any tips on gap yardages? What to focus on to let your pin float, etc?
I use fixed pin sights only and there are multiple ways to gap shoot.
You really need to test it out yourself to see what is the best way for you.
What is the best way depends on what you feel the most confident about and it very much depends on what distances you have your pins at and how your arrow flight/speed is.
You can aim low with the pin for the longer distance.
You can aim high with the pin for the shorter distance.
You can use the gap itself as an extra "pin".
Test it out and find what fits best for you and your setup.
Yea these crossbow hunters with all their technology. 😂😂😂
Let’s go another video
I'm actually surprised to see you reviewing this. Looks interesting.
Hey Chris bee are you going to be at the cullman Alabama asa shoot this year?
I have my trophy ridge react one pro decked out with a UV3 xl it’s dope can’t send you a pic of it on my halon 6
BEEREAL!!!🐝
Chris tell me man I just bought the UV3 XL and I'm gonna use it for hunting but it looks a little too big. Would the 31mm the regular UV3 be better?
I heard just today that some are having issues with the XL's size and mounting it...
@@kee7678 ugh I hope not. I have the HHA Tetra and I had to buy the bracket to be able to mount the Ultraview and I can't say I had any problems mounting it. I will say I hope the screw stay tight tho cause the screw is really short
Just purchased one of these Sights, has anyone had any issues with this Sight defaulting from Meters to Yards on power down and Power up ?? I’m still awaiting a reply from Bear before I return it as currently this is not a Precision Unit.
Just mounted one on my friends bow with a single pin .010 fiber and it’s way more simple than 3 pins ..
I've had good luck with my trophy ridge sights
Riley the cameraman is the best
Well done video on this thing. IMO why would you want another product that requires batteries? Something else to fail? What’s so hard about shooting enough to get correct marks for a single pin or multiple pin slider or a fixed multiple pin sight.
Trophy ridge put out their pro react awhile back and they are great
But I agree though, maybe if you shoot 3D, batteries would not be an issue, but as a hunter thats a no go
Just throw stuff around Chris 😅hey btw don’t trophy ridge offer bridge lock dovetail mount ?
When you get to be my age it’s nice to be able to read the yardage. Can’t see the small numbers on a sight tape without glasses. I have a single pin that works great. I only hunt so it’s perfect for me.
love the concept but wish there was a sight tape as a back up for if it dies in the field
Ill Glady take it if you dont want it!
Awesome review thank you !!
I broke my collar bone and am now picking my bow up for the first time in a while. There's a lot of cool new shit I haven't seen yet. Ps I've never been a trophy ridge fan but this seems kinda cool if it wasn't so huge.
Man bro you got it good
Need a review on the Garmin range finding sight
I realize this is a year old video, but you ought to have a vid on how to perform an arrow twirl. Wanna look like one of the cool guys, even if I can’t shoot nearly as good as y’all! 😊
Can you run a UV3 Scope on this sight?
Wonder if these will be allowed in sanctioned shooting events?
Where do you get those big targets?
Yayyyyy no more sight tapes 😂
Dig the Kershaw. Nice choice.
I want the high roller target sooo bad!
So the only difference as I observe this is that your digital read out replaces the sight tape if you want?
What would be a good bow for hunting for an adult male with a decent amount of draw weight and length adjustability?
Man that's pretty wide open. New or used ? Go to a bow shop and start shooting some..its very subjective. They're are excellent bows today and large price range from approx $600 to $1900. I bought mine USED...a 1 yr old bow, from 8 yrs ago. Hoyt, Mathews are the 2 big huge dogs in the market but many others like PSE, Bowtech etc etc.
@@kee7678 thank you for your reply. Yes I know it wasn’t a very specific question, I apologize. I couldn’t find the right words haha. I have an Oneida strike eagle, however the draw length is to large for me and Oneida doesnt exist and doesn’t make modules for the bow anymore as far as the research I’ve done. It’s an old bow, close to 10-15 years old. I probably want a new bow, I have all the “extras” (brand new) just need a bow. I guess my question would be what would be the “best” place (big box) to go to look and get good information (and try a few out) as I don’t have small bow shops near me.
Holy crap, did Chris Bee actually read instructions?!
Would this be legal for hunting in Colorado?
Just wondering isn’t that for a single pin though?
Seems like alotta work
can you do one on the garmin xero digital scope
Is this legal in California? Love it
I would not trust anything which is more battery driven than other sights. Would it not make you angry if all of a sudden the battery ran out?
I like it
Man, it was easier to put a man on the moon. I have a Trophy ridge on me Bear Species bow and I just love it
But does it come dove tail/bridge lock yet?
So glad to see this, now maybe the tape sights will become cheap enough for me to buy one...
I want one!
I won’t be putting my bow on the charger this year.. Lol
My trophy ridge sight I bought has been the worst sight I've ever had. It was easy to sight it and pin point. But it absolutely will not stay sighted no matter what I do. It will eventually slide down causing high shots or it slides off right cause far left shots.
Sounds like it's not tight, I had a react that would vibrate loose over a bunch of shots untill I got the bow tuned and shooting dead in hand
@@mikehewson576 no matter how tight you make it, I assure you. I've even stuck a wratchet with an Allen head on it. Half of it is plastic and the other half is aluminum. The plastic just does not hold in aluminum teeth or dovetail whatever you'd like to call it.
@@justahasbeen no it is not the sight in this video, it's a cheaper trophy ridge. It's a 3 pin with windage and elevation
@Ethan Yost it's not, I remember where to set my sight each time I shoot, I can look down 40 or 50 shots in and it'll be low 3 marks or so. I'll adjust it and it'll do it again in 50 or so more. I've even went so far as to set it and glue it in place with super glue and it'll still end up moving after a bit
I like it bud is there one that tels you the distence when you point @ it
Yes it’s called garmin
Trophy ridge is good heavy duty products. Just heavy is all. I have trophy ridge 2 bows and redline on one
You will get through it.
Trophy Ridge.........like the keltec of archery
talked me right out of that shit lol
Pressed the like button when he said “feelin pretty aggressive this morning” 😂😂
Nice!
Gotta do one on the garmin xero
WA 11.2 & 22.2 "For the Compound Division, the following equipment is described. All types of additional devices are permitted, unless they are electric, electronic, compromise safety or create unfair disturbance to other athletes."
What if you are left handed?
Sick...
What’s your axle to axle on that bow 🐝
I think I will be sticking with my axcel.
The only problem is, these lcds will turn black/dark after a few years. Inherent issue with the glue used for the polarizers. All my stuff that uses LCDs end up like this.
Great another thing with batteries
I'm still confused as to what it does that's so special
Cool 👍🏼
I straight up winced like I was in pain when I saw him slam the package on the table and just rip it out like that...
What is the weight of this sight?
