I appreciate how honest you were about his violin skills. He was, possibly still is, very talented in the instrument. People have asked him to play more but no gold (or it's very rare.) I'm really hoping he does a 'getting healthy' blog because I think that would help a lot of folks who struggle. Watching him go a better route and just start to fall back into music and reversing what he's become would be incredible.

The violin part makes me sad too. 😥 If that was actually him playing, he was amazing. Shows how trash society has become that we value self destruction over genuine beauty.
Actually there are multiple sides to it. Knowing youtubers who purely do musical stuff, they attract that sort of audience. He wanted to appeal to that side of the audience, who enjoys how others try to cram all the food down and be amazed to what someone can eat, or to what extent. Some are curious to how far one can go. Some like to see others suffer, seeing how some have lowered themselves so down to make a laugh about and show their friends about some lowlife... etc.
If he was continued to make those violin videos, he would've gathered that sort of appreciative audience of course, it would've been harder or would take longer to achieve those views and subscribes he quickly gained from killing himself slowly.

As a violinist with decades of experience, yes, he is actually playing. His fingerings and bow strokes are totally consistent with the music.

@@P.e.m.a. idk, they are 2 very different fan bases. People into this food p0rn stuff tend to like watching people self destruct. And the music community, while it can be very supportive and encouraging, is also very competitive and can be very stressful, even in classical genres. NA has said in videos that he knows what he's doing when it comes to his algorithm choices, but he's also been known to come off as highly emotional and immature. The person above me also made a fair point in that in order to play more effectively he would have to lose a fair bit of weight, not only because of his chins, but the size of his fingers would also negatively affect his ability to play accurately. Sad, really, because he did play that piece beautifully.
Can we appreciate the subtle cinematographic hint of more and more food continuously appearing on the table between cuts.. genius.

He's the only person that actually successfully persuades people to go vegan, unlike actual vegans.

Not really. People do unhealthy things on most videos, such as drinking alcohol, eating candy, fast food, being fat, partaking in social media, the list goes on and on.
To refuse monetization for one form of unhealthy would warrant refusal of all types of unhealthy. Which is a rabbit hole I imagine most don't really want.

Still, I have more sympathy for someone like Nik than Eugenia because at least he admits what he's doing and why he's doing it. He knows it's not healthy, knows it's for the money, and doesn't hide that fact from the world. Eugenia goes on pretending that she has no idea why people watch her and refuses to even utter the word eating disorder or anorexia. She acts SOOO innocent, almost child-like, but she's a 28-year-old woman with not an ounce of dignity.
Honestly it’s hard to hold any ounce of high sympathy for these individuals hence why I scoff at the people defending them and their actions in comments section accusing people of “bullying” them. Because, they’re grown adults in their late twenties who are aware that what they’re doing to themselves is dangerous and unhealthy yet, they continue to do it. It’s almost like they’re trolling because, they know it’ll get them views.
Its pronounced “bong” bc its a Korean word. The word is “방” and the symbol or hanguel letterㅏ is similar to the English sounding short “o”. “Muk” is more like “mook” (rhymes with book) so mook bong -ish 😅
That's not how it's spelled... Mukbang is spelled mukbang as it's an American word.

He said that he stopped being vegan because he was having health problems and had no energy and was low on nutrients. But now, he's swung the pendulum in the opposite direction.

I feel inclined to not feel too bad for him. He knows what he's doing, understands the consequences of it, and revels in it. If he wants a short burning life instead of a longer, quieter one, it's ultimately his choice. He could have done a lot of other things but this is what he chose. It does suck, but it's not like anybody can force him to change if this is what he really wants
He is young and he isn’t seeing the very real consequences that are yet to come. He may not have any regrets now, but later he will. I hate to see a person commit suicide, but that is his choice. He is in complete control and is unrepentant for his choices.

I want to say that I'm a long time viewer of Nick and Trisha and 100% he NEVER did trolling or became a big feeder until after his collab with Trisha. He had a fairly normal or regular routine and then after his collab with Trisha he COMPLETELY took a comedic route. Hope I'm not the only one who knows this!
And by this I'm trying to say that homegirl must've told him to do what she does and troll his way to the bank.
I am not sure it's fair to blame Trisha. Maybe she had an influence but Nick has the choice.

@@oldwomanranting - because you have to put in the work and sometimes you won’t see the results of the efforts immediately. It’s very lonely because you can see the end goal but the distance to get there won’t be as fast as you would want. It’s becoming the person you want to be but still having to live the person you are. It’s possibly living with judgement or objections from the world around you when the world around you doesn’t understand you more deeply. It’s lonely not liking oneself and feeling that way about yourself makes you feel cut off from others. It’s terribly painful.

You know how people who are severely depressed sometimes no longer wanna be here? Well that’s Nick. People wonder why he keeps eating, imo, it’s because he doesn’t wanna be here anymore and this is just another way to do that. I believe he’s given up on life and sadly has no one around to help him. And I think the only thing he has left is RUclips so he’ll definitely continue to record it all until the very last day. People also don’t often speak about his husband who also gained a massive amount of weight through this all. It’s pretty sad.

He used to play violin professionally. I watched his videos for a good couple of years during the vegan days. He was actually one of the first people who started calling out the lies and secrets and drama within the fruitarian RUclips community which largely fell apart in the few years that followed. Many fruitarian influencers started coming out about their health problems, and it caused a cascading ex-vegan movement, where thousands of people, myself included, reintroduced animal products after finally admitting to having been conned. We were conned by endless "thriving" beautiful influencers who shared their perfect bloodwork, but secretly had no menstrual periods, stemming from the lack of fat in their diet, or chronic digestive issues from excessive carbohydrate intake creating bacterial overgrowth, mental health issues deficiencies, the list goes on. It all seems to have started with "Freelee the Banana Girl" who started the trend around maybe 2005. It was promoted as the most natural diet for humans, and really does make you feel fantastic short term, so those who tried would get hooked, and then were repeatedly told that any problems that arise are just "detox symptoms" and encouraged to wait it out, even if it took months. People naturally fall off of the wagon with such extreme restriction, and then assume that this is the actual cause of their problems, and go years trying to "get it perfect". It's embarrassing that I fell victim to this. It's very much a cult mentality, and unfortunately I spent about eight years trying to "get it right" before realizing it was all a lie, and completely fell apart just at the time that others started to share their negative experience.
I love these review videos. They’re honest but not “mean”. They’re empathetic and I think it shows a side of you that we all weren’t sure what we would get.

I'm sorry but there's far worse people on RUclips or other social media platforms that people still actively support and people don't hate on them nearly as much as they do Richie. Being a serial cheater isn't reason enough to take someone's platform away from them. People need to get over this stuff already. His exes have long ago moved on yet random people on the internet who have nothing to do with the situation can't let it go? I'm sorry but that's just weird.

Bro, when i say the look on your face is the same way i look every single time his videos pop up on my socials. I literally do not eat for a whole day when i see his stuff because its gotten out if hand. I cant even watch other muckbangers anymore because it makes my chest hurt. Im not skinny myself, but watching the spiral crushes my soul.
The sadness of that single violin video was not enough to overcome my nausea and my absolute disgust. I'm in recovery from anorexia, a quite severe case of it, and I'm grateful for the fact that I'm healthy enough now that I'm not overly triggered by this content, but I used to have nightmares that looked like Nickocado Avocado and his little friend. I would dream that there were huge bowls of food in front of me and I couldn't stop eating, and I would keep getting bigger and bigger and bigger. I'm not sure what purpose Mukbang content serves but I could have happily lived out my days having never heard the word. Thanks.

Because he and many of the people he talks about practically grew up on social media and made a lot of his mistakes in a very public way. Mistakes and bad life choices that we all make in our teens and twenties, but the Internet never forgets. Even when it starts to forget and move on, someone will do a deep dive and drag it all back up again. You're not allowed to grow up or mature or change. It's sucks to have all of these people who seem to be hellbent on keeping you in stuck in your past, and it takes a strong person to stick with it when you have thousands of strangers determined to keep you down.

It is so heart breaking to witness and to continue to witness those who chose to self abuse. Weather it be eating too much or too little just for attention or approval. He was so angry when he was a vegan and the treatment he got for it, its like he is doing this as a rebellion. Like okay, you didnt like me not eating meat, how about this. Unfortunately what I see is, somewhere in his childhood he never got the approval or love he so desperately needed and this is a way he is trying to get it.
