Lovecraftian vibes would be perfect for a Sith show. In fact, had they used Lovecraft for that abomination of a recent Star wars show, it would have been great. A series on how the darkside drives one mad.
Star War's Space isn't a vacuum. It's filled with an ethereal fluid, similar to Aether. That's one of many reasons that it's setting is as strange as it is, and why such creatures can exist in Space.
Is that your head canon or is there a legitimate source for that? That would explain why nothing makes sense in Star Wars. But it would introduce new issues. For example, if there are sounds in space, then everybody would go numb instantly from how loud the stars would be.
I actually could imagine a creature that has evolved to survive in deep space being enormous due to the fact that the factors that limit an animal's size here on Earth, namely available space and the animal's own weight, wouldn't exist.
The bigger an animal gets, the more efficient it consumes food. So the ratio of food to body mass decreases. Space is very empty, so there should be space megamorphosis. But what does it eat? Efficiency doesn't matter if there is no food at all.
There is a gallery book with descriptions from star wars world about races and entities like this (of course before dark times... before disney) Its called "The Essential Guide to Alien Species" When I was reading this 20 years ago... just Wow. They are descriptions and some encounter stories. If u want to feel again like George never sold rights to Star Wars... read it And amazing video of course ❤
I remember reading somewhere that there was also a prototype Death Star hidden in the Maelstrom, placed there by the Imperials. I’m sure that there are other hidden horrors and treasures to discover, all one has to do is to fly off the beaten path.
Love this video! I watched Solo in theaters when it first came out, and when this monster appeared on screen, I LITERALLY had a halfway-heart attack!😮😲👍
I always thought It would be really cool if the first order used something biological or maybe some sort of long-lost force entity like Abeloth as their superweapon but ofc Disney would never put anything actually cool in the sequels.
This is really terrifying. Imagine this creature in hyperspace. So terrifying. So many terrifying things and creatures out there. We will stay away from nebulas and space storms. May the Force be with you too
It would be interesting to know if there are any stories of these supernatural creatures found in deep space that you have covered recently have been reported devouring/manipulating/breading or otherwise encountering one other.
The Nameless, Star-weirds and now whatever is singing in The Maw. It's probably Abeloth but it would be way more terrifying if it wasn't. Just imagine if there was new, unknown entity that could put creatures four times the size of an Imperial star destroyer in a trance for eons.
"It would be more terrifying if it wasnt Abeloth" my brother in christ have you actually read any of the lore about Abeloth? Aint NOTHIN more terrifying
@@Surr3alD3sign that's the point I think. Abeloth is terrifying but we know about her. But if there's something *else* out there that can do this... Oh boy.
The problem with making creatures like this, in anything really, is that realistically, they wouldn't be a threat, cause you would be too small to bother eating. It would be like chasing down a single popcorn kernel as a meal.
You guys mentioned in a previous video, I think it was the one about the starweirds, that AI was making false information about them. Is there a site, that isn't wookiepedia, where I can find information about anything Star Wars? I leave out wookiepedia, because they're changing and altering things according to another large Star Wars channel, it may have been Star Wars Theory, but I'm not sure. Thank you again for the great video!
@@stop736 Indeed so. She had two perfect moons on opposite sides of her outer rim that lured me in. By then, I was too close. Nothing I could do. They say space smells like seared steak. In my experience, it's more like microwaved Brussels sprouts 🤷
Keep in mind creatures of this size, in StarWars, only get to these proportions or even larger mainly due to not have some gravitational forces placed on their bodies. Pretty much if a space fairing creature continues to live as long as they do they’re grow indefinitely.
(I’m not a biologist so correct me if I’m wrong. also the only good star wars was the original trilogy and the clone wars cartoon [both versions]) The simple fact of the matter is that something as large as these space Man’O’War Jellysquids, could never function IRL the sheer amount of nutrients they would need to function would have them be a cannibalistic species because they are the only things large enough to supply their dietary requirements, either that or scouring entire garden worlds clean of all surface life.
For a creature to be able to live in the cold vacuum of space. It's entire outer body must be resistant to the extreme cold of space. It's inner body must be a self contained environment that have organs that can produce pure Oxygen; most likely photosynthesis. And it must have a form of propulsion to maneuver itself.
Perhaps you could do a holocon on old republic era jedi master dagan Gera (the one who appeared in star wars jedi survivor) Just an idea a little more knowledge into the old republic era jedi
Make you wonder what space beasts the space jelly feeds on to be able to reach that size. Maybe large purgol or space worms for example? Not many space creatures have been shown yet
Actually the void krakens from warhammer are surprisingly similar in size, so we don’t win here (unless we count the c’tan natural energy jellyfish forms, they were the size of solar systems)
Such a stupid scene. Show off this cool, gigantic monster that must have been chilling next to one of the only things in known space that can actually kill it, and the hero makes it accidentally fall in and kill itself after being there for eons. A prime example of creating something epic for the plain purpose of using it in a flagrantly pointless and contrived way. Only cheap directors rely so heavily on cheap thrills.
Wish there was more lore like this in the actual movies and shows
It’s sad how comics are the only thing making Star Wars better some shows and movies are shit 😢

Abeloth. What you're suggesting, is that it was drawn there by Abeloth. Which, given the history of the Maw in Legends, makes sense.
