Technically in the canon Saint has repeated his cycle nearly infinite times. I love to think that something like this has happened at least once in his life :) But people seem to forget the effect that infinity has on creatures. Yes, Saint has probably done this. Yes, Saint has killed for fun. But what is even more terrifying to me? The condition Saint is in at the time of the campaign. Think about it. He has repeated his cycle so many times that he has seen all of it. Every nook and cranny of the world, every variation of every creature, every kind of death and rebirth, all of it. Over. And Over. And over again. He is not simply beyond the cycles, not just aware of them, but the very essence of his mind has been made eternal. Nothing matters to the Saint, not pain or death or even failure. A being that has been so utterly defeated by the uncountable eons that it has spent in the cycles that it has become a literal force of nature. Uncaring, unrelenting, unstoppable. You could kill Saint a thousand times, a hundred thousand, and he would return. You can build the mightiest of walls to keep him out, but his patience is such that he can wait as the passing eons erode your castle. Nothing can stop the Saint, for he has seen it all. He is no longer conscious of what he does. He is a cold, heartless, and unfeeling savior. That is what terrifies me more than any unhinged version that I see.
Honestly it reminds me of the Iterator Logs series from Dazombies. Sooner or later after being this powerful and having no other way to break the this bullshit, why not become god? At least then it won't reset again if nothing else. Plus i'd argue whatever deities set up Rain World's cycle are bastards who should be dethroned in the first place, it seems Saint has come to the same conclusion but just can't find the gods to take it out on. Maybe that's why Saint brain blasts the void worm even.
Its a cut song from Weirdmageddon. They only got an early version of the instrumental and a demo from Niel, but then it got cut, possibly because there wasn't enough runtime to squeeze it into without having to sacrifice another important scene. And yes, it was supposed to be sung by Bill

Saint cannot ascend.
They actually can’t. Iterators can only be incapacitated. Even if they lose every single neuron they have, they would only essentially enter a coma, that they can feel. In a pearl moon explains this. Saint provides the only way to kill an iterator.
Saint wasn't iterator-made though. It's been confirmed Challenge 70 was a Parody of pre-release theories and Saint was born long after Sliver's unknown fate.
This is really interesting because in the beginning Saint won’t even throw a spear or eat a batfly, but as he visits the echos, he becomes power hungry. While at first glance, this might look like an exaggeration from the actual story, the longer I think about it, this is pretty much what happens. He becomes a god and even tries to ascend the void worm. He just gets rid of anyone who gets in his way, also completely defying gravity. I think you did an amazing job of capturing this and thank you for making such an amazing animation!

This is so well done!!! My favorite part is how Saint defies gravity in such a relaxed way, not stiffly T-posing but instead lounging on the air with so much sass. My favorite segment is probably the animals turned into statues, the jump-cuts one after another really hammered the horror home.
i think Saint being trapped in an endless cycle existing only to free the others would eventually have a ‘groundhog day’ effect where they just go slowly insane as the cycles progress until eventually this happens

awesome! i love when people have unique styles with how they draw the Slugcats and other RW creatures. this is a very interesting alternative take on Saint's character, and i'm gonna be honest - when i first witnessed Saint's campaign, i felt a bit unnerved by how they could just "kill" things at will like some sort of deity, and with them turning into an Echo in the end, i'm not surprised people would eventually interpret Saint's actions and their character itself as more insane and cruel. very good animatic!

Saint was brought back (allegedly) because his job was not done, but the craziest part is that he rejected echoification and became fully corporeal again.
This reminds me of how my oc finds out he's a secret animus, and then he eventually uses all of his powers, not knowing the consequences, leading up to him enchanting his lover to forget everything they had together (how they met, even his name, his name is Crescent, and yes they're dragons.) and then Crescent goes insane, draining his soul, and either realizes what he's done, or drowning himself. The good ending is where his lover (Autumn suddenly remembers everything, while they're in a pitch-black cave, Crescent standing in the exit/entrance, at this point hes already lost his mind and forgotten everything about himself (his personality, traits, that he even had a lover to begin with, etc) and then Autumn says, "Crescent..?" Making him just stop, and realize what he's done, (he basically turned out to be how Darkstalker was in the books, he offed the dragon whom found him at the beach, lost, and taken him home) And yeah, I don't know if I should choose the bad ending, where he drowns himself in a river, or he realizes what he's done, and goes sane.
