Megalopolis is a Roman Epic fable set in an imagined Modern America. The City of New Rome must change, causing conflict between Cesar Catilina, a genius artist who seeks to leap into a utopian, idealistic future, and his opposition, Mayor Franklyn Cicero, who remains committed to a regressive status quo, perpetuating greed, special interests, and partisan warfare. Torn between them is socialite Julia Cicero, the mayor’s daughter, whose love for Cesar has divided her loyalties, forcing her to discover what she truly believes humanity deserves.
Megalopolis stars Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito, Nathalie Emmanuel, Aubrey Plaza, Shia LaBeouf, Jon Voight, Laurence Fishburne, Talia Shire, Jason Schwartzman, Kathryn Hunter, Grace VanderWaal, Chloe Fineman, James Remar, D.B. Sweeney, and Dustin Hoffman. The film is directed, written, and produced by Francis Ford Coppola alongside Anahid Nazarian, Barrie Osborne, and Darren Demetre as executive producers.
Megalopolis is set to premiere at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival on May 17, 2024.

This movie is very similar like Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead novel book
Ayn Rand was a psychopath who supported and envisioned a dystopian world where the elite controlled everything. Francis must have made a movie critical of Ayn’s assholery.
It was actually one of this movie's inspirations.

If you’re going to do a minimalist trailer that entices interest yet doesn’t give away the plot, this isn’t it. We’ve seen a million movies about time stopping. Ask A24 how they do it.

Director literally invested his own 120M dollars cuz he is 87 and way too rich and doesn't care about revenue or what critics think, he jus wants to tell this story he has been working on for YEARS
@@tech936 I’m sure it’s a compelling story but you wouldn’t know it from that clip. The Avengers and that movie Bernardo Di Caprio did, and a million other movies/TV already covered time stopping and jumping. If the director is 87 perhaps he’s obsessed with stopping time.
Lets hope its not a subversive bashing of traditional values.

If this is the best first look scene clip they decided to show... This movie is in for TROUBLE this clip did nothing. The movies decades ago have done similar premises looking way better. This movie should have come out in the 90's and the set design looks horrible. Heard Coppla put his own money in this... Poor soul
