The thing I love about your videos is that you don't make a pretense about being a good singer. Most people would be so self conscious that they don't have some absurdly beautiful voice and be quiet and lack confidence, but you just sing loud and proud. The fact that you're just having a good time playing some tunes makes it great fun to listen to.

dude,i played guitar really badly as a teenager. recently i got a job in a school and discovered lunch time ukulele club and have been hooked ever since. been using ur vids to get ahead of the kids. ur vids are really well presented and easy to follow. keep it up.

I've been watching your videos for about two weeks and my first uke came today. After not even ten minutes I learned the chords of this song, and about half an hour later I can play it full speed! Thank you so much for these videos! My fingers are rubbed raw and stuff but it was totally worth it.

I just got a Koa wood Ululele through Amazon and this is going to be the first song I learn. I've been playing guitar for over 30 years so it's no big deal. Still, the first of anything can be very special. Thank you so very much!!!!
I just decided to learn this to show my nice since I got her a Ukulele for her birthday, but now I want my own! If I get one I'm definitely using your videos to learn songs. This ones simple but it only took 5 minutes to learn, and that's a great help when you play a ton of instruments and don't want to devote hours into each one every day, memorizing all the chord shapes and such. It's bad enough just remembering the tunings lol. Good job man, and thanks.

I've used your tutorials to play Riptide (my favourite♥), Let It Go, Feliz Navidad, La Da Dee, and now Hakuna Matata (Hakuna Wasiwasi:p haha)! People ask me how many years I've played the ukulele, and I say "A couple of weeks, actually!" and they think it's the greatest thing ever:p Thank you so much for amazing tutorials:D

+David Šaravanja, It is what I have done, using capo and the last 4 strings. My guitar is a semi acoustic Ibanez but has done the job, my ukelele will soon be at hand!

I'm finding it really hard to keep a "down - down - up - up - down - up" chord strike without thinking about it too much distracting me from the chords I have to play
+EvilisMe Don't worry man, if you keep practicing every day and keep learning new songs and chords, you'll get really used to the DD UU DU pattern really quickly since it's used in a lot of songs :)
Dont focus on the strumming pattern. Just listen to the beat of the strum and you can get it easily.
especially if your trying to play hallelujah at the same time...
Just keep practicing and eventually it will just be muscle memory :)
EvilisMe Don't play any chords! Just get the strum FIRST and then fit the chords in the background. ;)

I also decided to buy my ukelele because of your videos! You are the best uke teacher! I bought my uke yesterday an I literaly expended all day long learning the basics and trying to practice this song. But I just realized that I don't really get how many times you play the strum with each chord. I would really appreciate some help with that.

I love you uke! it's so unique mine is pretty unique too. it's pink with a heart hole instead of it being fully round. it still tunes the same and everything! it's perfect for valentine's day stuff just wanted to say you earned yourself a new subscriber!
My uke is pretty unique too! It is a tiny bit smaller than usual but I am used to it now, it is purple all over the outside and there is a dolphin at the bottom that holds the strings! I absolutely looooove dolphins!
