      as long as you are at the hong kong airport and not leaving the transit hall then no transit visa is required. otherwise, if you want to explore the city then you can do Pre-arrival registration which gives 14 days stay period to Indians. www.immd.gov.hk/eng/services/visas/pre-arrival_registration_for_indian_nationals.html

    Hi,
    I am traveling from BLR - Bangalore (Indigo or Singapore Airlines) to Singapore and connecting flight to New Zealand.
    Terminals and flights need to be changed for connecting flight.
    *I want to know :*
    I need to self transfer and recheck baggage at Singapore airport.
    Do I need a visa?
    Can I collect my luggage at SIN airport and board another flight without immigration check?
    Or
    Do I have to go through immigration check at SIN airport for self transfer?
    I have 2 different PNR flight tickets.
    I have to take boarding pass again at Singapore airport.

    I will be traveling back from Melbourne to Delhi with a transit in Singapore (5.5 hours layover). Both the flights are booked on different PNR and different airlines. Do you think 5.5 hours will be enough to claim baggage and pass through the immigration again??
    Considering the below scenarios:
    Melbourne - Singapore - Jet Star (T1)
    Singapore - Delhi - Air India (T2)
    Do you think claiming luggage, passing through the immigration and transferring to T2 can be an issue?
    Also, I have 3 years multiple entries tourist visa of Australia so this makes me eligible for VFTF right?
    Quick response would be highly appreciated 😊

    • @TRAVELMANTODAY
      @TRAVELMANTODAY  10 месяцев назад

      I thin Jetstar has the arrangement with Changi airport and it should be hassle free. whether you have to clear the immigration or not that is something the airlines can confirm., As far I know Jet star has transfer/transit facilities. 5 hours are sufficient in case you have to clear the immigration or collector your baggage to catch your next flight. But take the advantage to be first because of long queues at the airport.

      that you need to check with the airlines if you need to clear the immigration or not. Low-budget carriers do not have transit facilities with the Changi airport and some may have for instance scoot. But if you just have hand baggage or a backpack then you should remain in the transit hall.

    I am traveling to Busan (PUS) from India (BOM) on 13th October through Vietnam (Han Choi Min City Airport) in Vietjet for both. My question is whether it is required for me to take a transit visa as they have mentioned Self-Transfer. But the airline is the same i.e vietjet. My layover time is 17 hours 15 mins to catch the next flight. I will not be leaving the airport. I will be in the airport itself but I am not sure if I will have to leave the transit zone to check in again. I am attaching the itinerary of my flight to this email. Also I don't have extra baggage. I will be carrying cabin luggage upto 7kgs

    • @TRAVELMANTODAY
      @TRAVELMANTODAY  Год назад

      Well, there is no transit visa in the case of Vietnam. As long as you stay in the transit area, there are no visa requirements. Since, your airline is going to be the same for the self-transfer they should have transfer arrangement with the airport and should let you catch the next flight without clearing the immigration. They must be indicating that you need to claim your baggage and do another checkin at the airport for your flight to Busan. All your docs and visas would be checked at the time of check-in, I would advise you to contact the airlines, if possible to verify the same. If you apply for an evisa that would be for $25 USD only.

      VFTF is applicable in your case since you have a long-term Australia visa. Im traveling through Singapore from Bali and was wondering whats a decent amount of time to explore the airport? Im seeing different layover from 55 min,3 hours,6 hours 8 hours and 10 hours..Which one do you reccomend? Also, Is it possible to leave the airport during a layover ?

    • @TRAVELMANTODAY
      @TRAVELMANTODAY  Год назад

      Well, if you are particular about exploring the airport then it is a huge one. I would recommend 3 hours because the biggest attraction is Jewel Changi and 3 hours would be sufficient including some shopping at the duty-free. You would just spend 1 hour at Jewel Changi and remaining time you would spend having coffee or some shopping. In some case you require a visa to exit the airport and explore the city. If you are from US then US Passport Holders (regular, official and diplomatic) do not require a visa to enter Singapore for business or for social visit purposes.
      So if you want to explore the city then go with 10 hours of layover and less 2 hours to exit the airport for clearing the immigration and customs.

      You can take VFTF if you have the UK visa but it depends if it is a short-term visa or the long term. So if it is long term visa then you can take VFTF during your both outbound or inbound journey, however, it is a short term visa then you can enter Singapore using VFTF upon your return leg. If you have a long-term visa you can also enjoy the VFTF facility that being said you can enter the city by simply visiting the immigration. But here, if you are transiting/returning via Singapore which is currently in the 6 high-risk countries then you are required to upload an RT-PCR report on the air suvidha. The validity of your report must be within 72 hours. You can get your test done in Melbourne.
      For instance, if you are transiting via KL and then to Mumbai then there is no need to get the RT-PCR test but since you will be transiting from Singapore then RT-PCR is needed.
      Please also contact your airlines before you fly and also take clarification for the same. In most cases, viewers of my channel have confirmed that you can take a test in Melbourne.

      in the case of scoot airways you can transit easily and there is not need for the visa, but again you should check withe airlines if you are required to clear the immigration for your next flight. it depends upon the airlines you are traveling with, so if you need to clear the immigration for the next flight or claim your baggage then you may have to clear the immigration. Such instances happen with low-budget airlines or when you have onward journey flight booked on a different PNR. In this case, if your flight is on the single PNR there there are no issues. If you flights are on different PNR then you need to check with the airlines if you required to clear the immigration. Usually, you do not required Singapore visa if you just have a layover of a few hours and not going to clear the immigration unless you want to explore the city in the case of 15-17 hours of layover. As of today, If the flight is on Same PNR there are no issues with it. But if your flight has different PNRs then contact the airlines and check the boarding gate, checkin counters if crossing the immigration is needed.
