    Hi Sir, travelling to bali via Singapore. Layover of 3:20 hrs. What ahould i do, coz i will arrive at terminal 1 and will have to catch terminal 4 to board on next flight. So im thinking not have check in baggage only handbag. In this case do i need to go via immigration. Will 3 hrs be sufficient to check in again as i m having 2 different pnr or should i book a different flight from Singapore to bali.
    While returning back too the layover at Singapore of 6hrs. Im a first time international traveller and i wasn't aware so i booked the low carrier flight. Please guide me to avoid any kind of hassle. Getting eviisa will suffice for both the times or do o have to apply further while returning. Return will be after 7 days. Thank you

    • @TRAVELMANTODAY
      @TRAVELMANTODAY  5 месяцев назад

      Once you arrive at Terminal 1, you’ll need to make your way to Terminal 4 to catch your next flight. Since you're traveling on two different PNRs and possibly different airlines, you may need to clear immigration, collect your baggage (if any), and check in again at Terminal 4.
      f you're only carrying a handbag, you may be able to use the airside transfer service without clearing immigration. However, this depends on the airlines' transfer agreements. Check with both airlines in advance to confirm this.
      If you're not leaving the transit area and your flights are within the same terminal or you can transfer airside, you typically don’t need to clear immigration, and your e-visa may suffice. However, since you’re on different PNRs, it's safer to be prepared to clear immigration.
      Ensure your e-visa allows multiple entries, as you may need to clear immigration and re-enter Singapore. You shouldn’t need an additional visa if you have a valid e-visa covering both entries.
      If you’re concerned about the tight connection, especially on separate PNRs, it might be safer to book a later flight from Singapore to Bali. This will give you more time in case of any delays.

      see when you book flights it does say self-transfer required or not. As far I know air India does not have code share agreement with Southern China airlines but they do have one with Air China. If your ticket is on the single PNR there should not be any issues. The Changi terminals are well connected with mono rails or skytrains. Do check with Air India as well to confirm.

    I have been looking for a direct and clear answer for weeks now but I am still not satisfied. I am traveling from India with an Indian Passport to Taiwan and there’s a layover for around 8hrs in Changi Airport. I do not have any visa other than Taiwanese Visa. Do I need to apply for a Singapore Tourist Visa? I do not intend to leave the transit area. Please clarify. There’s something called VFTF and it says that one needs a visa from UK, US and few other countries to be eligible for VFTF. Do I need this?

    • @TRAVELMANTODAY
      @TRAVELMANTODAY  10 дней назад

      Taiwan is not in the list of VFTF firstly, If you are flight is on the single PNR or same airlines then you remain in the transit hall without clearing the immigration and board you next flight.

      SG arrival is mandatory for everyone. So anyone who is going to enter the city is required to fill out SG arrival card. They can check proof of accommodation so simpley reserve the hotels and choose pay later options. If you have a single PNR flight the baggage will be delivered at your final destination. You should also check with the airlines because baggage policies can also differ. I think for 3 days you can use your mobile on roaming but do check that your service providers in the US has an arrangement with local providers in Singapore. I think that would be singtel in Singapore.

      If you are in transit to or from any third country, you may be eligible for the 96-hour visa free transit facility (VFTF) in Singapore if you have a valid onward air ticket departing within 96 hours. You may enter Singapore by any mode of transport but must depart Singapore by air.
      Assessment for entry is determined by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers at the point of entry.
      So they will just verify your US Visa and onward journey ticket.

      For changing terminals you don't need a transit visa. The airport is well connected with mono rails or sky trains. But I am not sure of the airlines you are traveling with. Some airlines have transfer arrangements or code-sharing so in that case they will be responsible for the baggage transfers. If your PNR says self-transfer then you may require singapore visa OR VFTF is applicable in your case. Also, verify the same with your airlines too.

      not need if it is a single PNR flight or as long as you remain in the transit hall. For 50 mins layover I dont think so that you need to clear the immigration and that means airlines already has transfer arrangements. You must also contact your airlines to verify

      Dear, In Delhi you will be issued boarding pass of India to Singapore flight (Air India). But if your onward journey from Singapore is also with the same airlines that you receive 2 boarding passes at the airport. For instance, if you opt to choose Singapore airlines. Jetstar and Air India collaborate through code-sharing, allowing seamless transfer of your luggage to Bali. Upon arriving in Singapore, you can obtain your Jetstar boarding pass without the need for a visa. Additionally, you can change terminals while remaining airside. Please also recheck with your airlines to verify.
      Ideally, we need a Singapore visa if we have different PNR flights or if it says self-transfer.
      So just verify the code-share thing with Air India or Jet star.

    I am planning a trip to Tokyo from Dubai. I have valid Japan visa. I live in Dubai with a valid residence permit.
    If I want to fly with Singapore Airlines from Dubai -Singapore- Tokyo route will I need any transit visa at the Changi airport transit area? I do not need to enter Singapore. Possible travel date is 19 February 2024.
    The flight SQ 495 from DXB to SIN stops at terminal 2 at the Changi airport.
    I just need to catch the next connecting flight to Tokyo at the Changi airport. It is the flight no SQ 634 which departs from Terminal 3.

    • @TRAVELMANTODAY
      @TRAVELMANTODAY  11 месяцев назад

      See, Changi airport are well connected with sky trains, mono rails so there is problem I see while transiting. You can still catch your next flight without clearing the immigration and especially, if you are traveling Singapore airlines. They have transfer arrangements at the airport because it is national carrier also it seems you have a single PNR flight. But do re-check the same with the airlines.

    • @TRAVELMANTODAY
      @TRAVELMANTODAY  11 месяцев назад

      Scenario -1: Well, firstly, when you booked your flight or while booking does your itinerary says "self-transfer is required". If that is the case, then immigration clearance would be needed.
      Scenario -2: If it is a different PNR flight then immigration clearance or visa is needed. Some airlines have code sharing agreements between then OR Transfer arrangements with the airport, so baggage transfer responsibility would be on them and in such a cases you can skip the immigration at Singapore airport- which does not seem to be a case here and I am not sure which airlines you are traveling from India. For instance, if you have Air India flight to Singapore and Singapore airlines to Phuket then Air India & Singapore airlines have code share agreements.
      On the other hand, if both the airlines have code share agreements then for which route, for instance, Air India or Singapore airlines have code share agreements on following routes:
      Kolkata - Singapore - Kolkata
      Singapore - Bangkok - Singapore
      Singapore - Kuala Lumpur - Singapore
      Singapore - San Francisco - Singapore
      Singapore - Los Angeles - Singapore
      Scenerio-3: See, the Changi airport is well connected with mono rails and all the terminals are well connected to each other and you can change terminals without immigration clearance as long as you remain in the transit hall and wait for your next flight. But, in your case you have a different PNR flight so you should apply for a visa.
      Please do try to reach out to Singapore airlines and Air India as well to verify the same. But if you do not have clarity from both the airlines then better apply for a visa.

    1. Planning to travel with family of 5 members to Bali through Singapore and a Singapore city visit during layover. I understand that Singapore eVisa is required, so I will apply for single entry Singapore visa. Also, during the return journey from Bali, I have a layover at Singapore and may want to do another Singapore city visit during layover on the return journey - is it required to apply for another Singapore eVisa for this 2nd city visit on return layover?
    2. In the above travel to Bali, one family member has a valid long term multi-entry US visa. Can that one person be eligible for the 96-hour visa free transit facility (VFTF) on both the onward and return travel journeys?
    Please let me know your thoughts on this - thank you!

      if one of the family members has US multi-entry visa he is already eligible for VFTF facility valid for 96 for each stay. : Check here: www.ica.gov.sg/enter-transit-depart/entering-singapore/visa-free-transit-facility
      If you want to stay in the Singapore twice and explore the city in both the cases, even on your return leg then better apply for a Singapore multi-entry.

    Hi i am travelling from mumbai to bali (air india and then jetstar asia)change of terminal from 2 to 4 .Do we need transit visa? i called air india but they were lyk u have to ask this to respective airport authorities.kindly guide me please

      well, as far I know Air India has a code-share agreement with Jetstar that being said they have the responsibility to transfer or transport your baggage to Jet star. In this case visa is not required. All terminals of Changi are interconnected with sky trains or monorails so there is no much issue and we can skip immigration. So as long as you are in the transit hall no need for any visa. But again, I would say that speak to a different representative in Air India because their knowledge varies.

    Thank you for the informative video! We're traveling to Thailand via Singapore Airlines and have a 10 hour layover at Changi. We're considering taking a Singapore city tour and will require an e-visa, but how do we give proof of accommodation when we are not going to be staying there?

      proof of accommodation is not required in this case, if you take the free city tour. The tour lasts for 5-7 hours at max

    Hi.I am travelling from Delhi to Bali via Singapore with layover of 13 hrs. Airlines-AirIndia-Jetstar. Do i need to apply for e-visa? The PNR number is same for both flights. I contacted Air India for clarification, but they asked me contact the embassy as they are unsure of the visa requirements. Also, the told me that since it’s a different carrier for onward journey, i might need to check-in the luggage again.
    Please reply.

      Well, as far I know both Air India and Jet star has code share agreement. So baggage transfers is the responsibility of the airlines. Also, check your PNR or flight voucher..does it say "self-transfer required".

      as far I know air india and jet star have transfer arrangements or code sharing. So visa may not be required. Do check with Air India as well. But they have code share arrangements,.
