I don't know which sounds more accurate as I never heard how this car actually sounds, but I will say this. When driving in first person cockpit view, at least EVO makes it sound as though your in the cockpit. Forza on the other hand still sounds almost as if your still on the outside of the car.
4:48 onward sums it for me. On this particular track Forza lacks track texture, everything seems to look like a newly paved track. On Evo, the track looks real, small imperfections everywhere. Also at 9:07 the specular highlights look real as the sun glares off the track on Evo, where Forza has no highlights on what looks like a sunny day. Lastly, I would say the trees looks much more immersive than any game I have seen. Evo looks like a winner , especially considering early release.
That's largely because of the camera settings used in FM8. The camera in EVO has more movement because it's locked to horizon. In Forza the camera is set to move with the car. You can see this on 4:55 where the POV in Forza remains centered on the top of the hill but in EVO it's locked to the artificial horizon.
@@maliklowry1236 What I'm saying is that due to the different style of camera it's impossible to judge what the ground texture is. In FM the camera is fixed to the car, so the "world" bumps up and down (whole picture moves up and down on bumps) where in EVO, the camera is locked at the horizon, so the world is stationary but the car moves up and down in the picture, so you get an impression that the road in EVO is much bumpier.
@Pupixario that's not what I'm saying. I'm visually looking at the track texture (not the bumpiness). I'm looking at variations in color, tire streaks, etc. bumps and cameras have nothing to do with that. When you look at Forza, the road has one tone, no skid marks, no pavement repairs like a real track would have.
