Mayfield threw a worse pick that actually could've determined the game but not when the opposing qb can't do anything in the redzone. Winstead 5tds in his 1st start. Carr might not have 5 till week 8

I live in Tallahassee where Gene lives and I was talking to him at a gas station the other day as he was fueling up his Mercedes game day van to head to the game. Miss him covering the Noles games but so proud of him for still doing the Bucs games.

Carr has only 6 games where he threw 4 touchdowns. Baker has 3, winston has 9! So the two best quarterbacks weren't even playing each other. Let that sink in. Carr is historically bad

I remember listening to this guy on the buccaneers radio.
Carr -127 yards of passing offense. Kamara - 51 yards rushing. Mayfield 246 yards passing. Rashad White - 56 yards rushing. Who out there thought the Bucs would lead the Saints with both their QB and running back? I sure did not - especially on the rushing. Kamara is a beast that usually slashes the Bucs defense but not this game. They somehow stopped the Saints offense completely for a change. This is the most dominating win over the Saints I have seen this franchise do in a very long time (they never did this with Tom Brady).
Cam Jordan was right. There is NO rivalry. They own you Ain'ts!!! Have a great week off team. You earned it.

This was a complete Team effort. It wasn't always pretty, but the Bucs dominated the Saints in New Orleans! Just think about how sweet that sounds. And now we have sole possession of the Division Lead. Baker is showing the NFL that he is here to stay. Bucs got a Steal. Bucs got a steal in Baker, and he is going to single-handedly save Todd Bowles' Job.

Love listening to Gene. I still miss Brady and Gronk, but I'm enjoying the Mayfield/Evans, Mayfield/Godwin connections.
Bucs 2023 team = Bucs 2005 team. Similarities are uncanny. Go back and look at that 2005 and how they slowed the tempo down on both sides of the ball, played efficient and "ham-and-egged" their way to the division title that year and there are many similarities here:
Winfield = Barber
David = Brooks
Mayfield = Griese/Simms
McLaughlin = Matt Bryant

The major difference, though, is that we had a deep running back group with Cadillac Williams, Mike Alstott, and Michael Pittman. The 2023 team has Godwin and Evans and a bunch of young guys trying to make it, which was kinda similar to 2005 in which we had Joey Galloway, Ike Hilliard, pre-bust Michael Clayton, and a bunch of young guys.

Baker shouldn't have thrown that pick. It was only 2nd and 2 and White was WIDE OPEN short at the 20. He easily gets the first down and at least another 5-10 yards (if he doesn't take it to the house).

Start winston there's no future with carr. For ref. Carr has 142 starts. He's recorded 4tds in a single game. Only 6 times, winston has 9 in 80 starts. He also has 150 tot Tds in those 80 starts. Carr has 223. So with 62 more games carr has only 73 more tot tds than winston. Throughout his career in nfl. Winston has avg. 1.875 touchdowns per game. His entire career also avg 274 yards a game to carrs 252. Winston has 96 interceptions in 80 games i get that. However eli and farve are both top 10 all time in regards to almost any qb stat. But both finished their careers with more interceptions than starts. You have to put up points period. The best qb in saints history had only 43 starts more than interceptions
Eli and Favre are SB Champions.. Eli twice..Carr isn't even in their league, interceptions be damned
