@kaiielle Absolutely. I feel like these projects really have such an incredible and nuanced way of presenting these characters and their actions it makes you reevaluate your on views on morality etc. The best part is seeing what each person thinks about each character as the shows progress.
Back in the middle ages , a scam was to sell a baby pig by putting a cat in a bag (pig in a poke) after the seller left with the money the buyer would open the bag and the cat would jump out. (Letting the cat out of a bag)

@ As you’ll know, Vince really fleshed this all out so that there were lots of pieces right from the start that would tie together. I’m assume you’ve been told about how the characters wore different colours to represent the influences, allegiances, and attitudes they had? That’s a great rabbit hole in itself.
I'm just a guy from Brazil who's sttoped by here to say that I am goint to stay with u watching your reacts. Sorry about my poor english, I know I could just use the tradutor but I prefer to whrite on my own way and see what comes from it lol. So, ok, I watched Breaking Bad at least 6 times since 2014 (when I first watch the show), since there, everytime I had rewatch, the show becomes more and more fucking interesting and I've been searching for contends on the internet ever and ever. BCS it's as great as BB, in deed, Breaking Bad is Better Call Saul and BCS is BB, just simple as that. Ok, now I'm gonna watch it again with you, I know u don't know me but I'm already feeling that feeling of u becaming my "internet friend" durind your react videos. I love that feeling, and probrably most of u, creators, don't know about it from their audience, but it's kind of true. Anyway, let's get in to it!
"I am awake." When many of us first saw and heard that, we thought it was simply Walter saying a random, funny line to not tell Jesse that he has cancer. But, now having finished the show, knowing that he liked and enjoyed the power he felt being Heisenberg, as he himself admitted in the finale, that line is actually very meaningful and has a lot of truth to it.
Albuquerque born and raised here. Really love reactions to this show and seeing places I know. Also some guy just walked down the sidewalk screaming at the top of his lungs so yeah. Albuquerque is an experience.
Oh I would love to visit NM one day, mainly for Roswell and the UFO touristy things but also the desert nights. I'm in Aus and we have some nice vistas and deserts too, but you know, the grass is always greener
28:10 don’t ever do that. Lie on the cool bathroom floor after a hot bath or shower. You mentioned “it feels good when you’re overheating.” My mom did that and got a terrible chill - muscle spasm. I got the same as a teenager age 14 when I had my arm out the car window as we drove down from the mountains from the snow. The next day I was in excruciating pain, all locked up couldn’t move. I’ve always had to be super careful about being in any cool air draft. Once the pain lasted six weeks. Hope this helps someone.
Oh Kl, this makes me happy. What you're getting into here, is the second greatest TV show of all time ( after The Wire... though I debate that with myself to this day...). What a fun ride this shall be.
Awesome reaction! You are in for a wild ride into a world you've never seen. I can say that when my wife and I lived in San Francisco in the 90s, we did know part of that world. lol. But since we had high paying financial jobs AND the ability to stop for years at a time, we never had problems. lol. Kind of like David Lee Roth of Van Halen when asked if he had a drug problem. His response "Well, I used to..then we got money, now no more problem". lmao. We were lucky in that our small circle of friends kept their lives in order and was not based on the usage of a drug all of the time. That's rare in this world of "schmutz" as what we called the crystal. 90% of population has addictive personalities..we belonged to the 10% of non-addictive personalities. Great for drug and alcohol control, but crappy trait sitting in a cubicle everyday. lol. I got As in chemistry in HS and college..and when I figured out he was dragging to the bathtub, I yelled "NO! NO! Not that!" lol. The acids are specific as to what they dissolve as we found out. If you work in a meat market/store, you use hydrochloric acid to unclog drain pipes of the fat build up. Works quick and doesn't affect the pipes. If someone used hydrofluoric acid to dissolve fat in the drain, you would have no more fat AND no more drain/pipes. lol..."So there's that"..what a great line to tack on to his dialogue there. Can't wait to see all of your reactions to this series!

Jessie falling backwards off the roof in his red underwear is never not funny. Thanks so much for releasing this on the RUclipss! I am very much looking forward to your reactions to one of my all-time favorite shows. It's a fascinating character study and a great rollercoaster ride with a lot of great villains, no heroes, and a lot of people somewhere in between. I hope you enjoy it!
What was brilliant about this show is that all the main characters had their faults, being almost anti-heroes. Again the cinematography was exceptional in this show. The way Jessie and Walt go up the leagues is incredible. Funny scene when Jessie rings Walt and he tries to cover up the call, and then Skylar dials the number back. Crazy 8 after escaping knocks himself out on the tree and Walt bundles him back into the car. We see at this stage they just cannot handle to situation. Pinkman is so ridiculous in the store buying the plastic containers, and Walt just cant bring himself to do his deed. When Walt says Jessie sells him pot, it's funny when Skylar says what are you 16 years old. When Skylar confronts Jessie it is quite funny when she says she knows it all. Jessie being such an idiot of course puts the body in the bath and the acid eats through the ceiling. The two guys are almost in a comedy situation with their amateurish attempts at trying to deal with the situation. They of course have to learn fast. This is such a brilliant show, Vince Gilligan did such a fantastic job with it after his brilliant writing on the X-Files.
Of course Breaking Bad is an amazing show, as it was created by Vince Gilligan, one of the major writers on The X-Files, the 'daddy' of them all. An interesting piece of trivia is Bryan Cranston got the major role on this show as Vince Gilligan was so impressed by his performance on X-Files episode Drive. This first episode sets up the series nicely introducing us to the two major characters, and their unbelievable journey through this show. The cinematography and writing on Breaking Bad is incredible. The Winnebago being the first Meth Lab is iconic in this show. You will be amazed how this show develops over the Seasons with jaw dropping scenes.

Speaking of "don't know what drugs he's making or selling". I remember Vince Gilligan saying in one of the interviews that he wouldn't have moved forward with making Breaking Bad if he knew "Weeds" existed but his producers convinced him that the shows are sufficiently different.
At what frequency can we expect the videos? I've watched more than one reaction to the full series and am just wondering if I should get into this now or rather wait until I can binge more. EDIT: Just found my answer among the other comments... I'll give it a go for now. 2 Episodes a week aren't bad.

Well if you've watched the entire BB series, then you already know what a fascinating character study it is! I look forward to sharing this journey with you, but I can ask you this since you've watched it all: I have watched Breaking Bad countless times, with my parents, a couple different cousins, and my girlfriend, and it's always interesting to see if, and when, they stop sympathizing with Walter and understand he is no longer the "good guy" in the story. Can you tell me at what point in the show that happened for you? Did you eventually become 100% team Jesse like most of us?
@kaiielle i never disliked him, but it took a little while for me to really warm up to him - I think by the end of season 2 I waa fully on his side - you know what I'm talking about 😪
Kaiielle, I love your acknowledgement of how shitty the United States healthcare system is at 8:18. Ambulances alone can put people in the red financially, never mind the hospital stay and/or treatment itself. I'm sure Canada's Universal Healthcare system has saved tens, if not hundreds, of millions of lives. Sure, taxes might be a bit higher, but it all goes toward the Canadian people's welfare. #FREELUIGI
Our healthcare system certainly has its issues. It's not perfect. But I am grateful that I can visit the doctor without having to pay and that if something happens to me that requires a hospital stay, I won't have to worry about any bills coming from them.

LOL I agree. You know, people on Patreon who watched with me at the time were pretty wonderful throughout both shows. I even had some people watching for the first time with me, so we could speculate together!
It's funny, when i first watched BB i was in my mid-teens and i absolutely HATED skylar with a passion but in every rewatch I've done since I've felt more and more sympathy for her character and the last time i did a rewatch (about a year ago) i remember thinking to myself "she's a damn saint for tolerating so much of walt's criminal insanity". For me personally the passage of time and personal growth massively changed my perspective on things like that, it's just a shame some people never grow out of that backwards mindset like i did.
@@NativeAuslander You're not the only one who felt that way about Skyler, and it was VERY deliberate. She was the emotional scapegoat the show needed to buttonhook the audience with Walt's "development". Having seen the whole show myself, it seems difficult to refute that the pre-cancer dynamic in their marriage was not healthy. He repressed things, she exploited it. I'm not arguing sides, but it's an important part of the show that he sees her as representative of the world that has always overlooked him, and that the cancer news was a devastating blow to a marriage that was, as it turns out, already kind of shaky. What's ironic is that if Skyler weren't always there reminding us of how Walt sees himself, I don't think he would evoke enough sympathy to sustain him as the main character. It's because of her that we can't seem to forget that sweet, timid pushover we started with, for better or worse. Brilliant writing.

I have watched Breaking Bad countless times, with my parents, a couple different cousins, and my girlfriend, and it's always interesting to see if, and when, they stop sympathizing with Walter and understand he is no longer the "good guy" in the story. Can you tell me at what point in the show that happened for you? Did you eventually become 100% team Jesse like most of us?

Sweet! I do really love Jesse though. Right from the beginning, it felt like Aaron wasn't acting at all and Jesse was just a real person.
@kaiielle i never disliked him, but it took a little while for me to really warm up to him - I think by the end of season 2 I waa fully on his side - you know what I'm talking about 😪

Kaiielle, I love your acknowledgement of how shitty the United States healthcare system is at 8:18. Ambulances alone can put people in the red financially, never mind the hospital stay and/or treatment itself. I'm sure Canada's Universal Healthcare system has saved tens, if not hundreds, of millions of lives. Sure, taxes might be a bit higher, but it all goes toward the Canadian people's welfare. #FREELUIGI
Our healthcare system certainly has its issues. It's not perfect. But I am grateful that I can visit the doctor without having to pay and that if something happens to me that requires a hospital stay, I won't have to worry about any bills coming from them.

It's funny, when i first watched BB i was in my mid-teens and i absolutely HATED skylar with a passion but in every rewatch I've done since I've felt more and more sympathy for her character and the last time i did a rewatch (about a year ago) i remember thinking to myself "she's a damn saint for tolerating so much of walt's criminal insanity".
For me personally the passage of time and personal growth massively changed my perspective on things like that, it's just a shame some people never grow out of that backwards mindset like i did.
@@NativeAuslander You're not the only one who felt that way about Skyler, and it was VERY deliberate. She was the emotional scapegoat the show needed to buttonhook the audience with Walt's "development". Having seen the whole show myself, it seems difficult to refute that the pre-cancer dynamic in their marriage was not healthy. He repressed things, she exploited it. I'm not arguing sides, but it's an important part of the show that he sees her as representative of the world that has always overlooked him, and that the cancer news was a devastating blow to a marriage that was, as it turns out, already kind of shaky. What's ironic is that if Skyler weren't always there reminding us of how Walt sees himself, I don't think he would evoke enough sympathy to sustain him as the main character. It's because of her that we can't seem to forget that sweet, timid pushover we started with, for better or worse. Brilliant writing.
