Fantastic blowin' from a saxophonist I'm not familiar with and what looks to be superb mouthpiece re-facing work as well. Looks like they know their stuff!
Hi. Nice work. Was wondering if you know anyone that replicates the old Eric Brand mpc. refacing kit. I always liked the gauges they had for adjusting the resistance curve radius. Customizing mpcs. is like cutting a diamond, one wrong move and it's over, and alot of the time they need reworking right from the factory. With all the work you do, I'm sure you know what I'm talkin' 'bout. Thanks. Nice Vid!!
Johannes, Thanks for all of the great videos here, very informative and useful! Keep them coming! I have a quick question: I've got a well-used metal Link STM 6 facing. Nothing wrong with it, I don't want to reface it or open the tip up or anything, I just want to polish it up and restore a lot of the little scratches and marks on it (no major dings or dents, just minor surface scratches, but a lot of them....). I used some Brasso and a soft microfiber cloth on it already, which did a great job of cleaning it all up and clearing any gunk on it, BUT.... didn't do anything for the micro scratches... Any recommendations? In one of your videos I recall that you may have used a rotary tool I think with a buffer accessory attached to it? I remember the final product looked like a new mouthpiece! Would you recommend something like that? Thanks in advance for any advice you might provide.
Perhaps the most satisfying video on RUclips?
