What's not to like about this vid? 4 beautiful woman having a good time and shredding fiji. What an awesome crew, and excellent video. Thanks @Stabmagazine.
I lived in Suva for a few months and surfed lighthouse (the right) a few times. This video makes me miss it so much. The people, the culture, the weather, pace of life, environment, surf. Nothing like it. That song at the end Isa Lei is the farewell song that you hear everytime you leave a resort. Take me back!!
Sweet !! It wonderful to see some good women surfer rippen' it. But just as important was a little tour of the country and interaction with the people. That's the real hart to hart with humanity. Sharing and caring for and about each other. The sound tracks were also tasteful. Props to the production crew as well. ~ your neighbor
ive known Brian Mc Donald since before the surf camp last time i was there he was just walking us around telling us about it he and his wife are lovely , Waidroka is absolutely my favorite place in Fiji and now that sea shell cove is no longer i won't be going that side anymore , we would surf Pipe Littles or Frigates for daze and not see anyone ,, thanks for reminding me that ive been missing Fiji time for trip
I'm kind of obsessed with the song that starts at 6:26, but I have not been able to find it anywhere. I've looked for the songs in the credits, but can't find many of them. if anybody has any clues as to what it's called or where I can find it, I will be forever grateful 🙌
Well done video. It has always baffled me why these exceptional athletic women aren't mega-super stars. Hopefully vids like this will give little girls (and boys) the world over role models to emulate. Good on ya.
Just a suggestion. Try manila or hemp ropes instead of the poly plastics for your coral regeneration programs. Its truly biodegradeable and it promotes much quicker all types of marine growths. The differance is amazing
@@fijisurfco hi fiji surf...I thought I would try to hunt some manila rope down in fiji via the internet. After 4 long distance phone calls to yacht and hardware stores in fiji it would seem there is no manila line on the island. I'll try to hunt you down the best means of getting some shipped there
@@fijisurfco also you guys....if the manila is to hard to find maybe you can get some of the women to make coco husk cord. Maybe it wont last as long as manila but its better than plastic
What a sweet little doco not just about Fiji, but young inspiring, very natural women who are extremely comfortable in there own skin, and how refreshing their not absolutely covered in Tattoos! Respect 🌺🐨🌺
i am going on a trip end of feb and I am watching an overwhelming amount of surf videos atm and I have been going off now for a while over torren martyn's style of surfing. actually before this one I watched two of him. the way these women surf seems so unnatural an alien to me compared to the natural flow torren has for example. he seems very similar to rasta in his approach how to surf a wave. and I have been tought and brought up to surf by people with same mentality i believe.. this constant hacking with an exact same arc in the bottom turn and a top hack with the leg overkick to stall at the last segment, i mean do you actually enjoy surfing like that ? i certainly don't. but i understand a lot of them compete and it seems this style is now in their blood. they rip nonetheless, kuddos to the ladies
The village scene... I dunno. If a random foreigner came into your neighborhood, would you want your kids being all huggy like that? I have done a lot of traveling, visiting people who will probably never get to travel themselves, and I start to get pangs of conscience about it. Is it a cultural exchange -- or me flaunting my Western privilege?
Jason Hernandez I feel like it’s not a display of western privilege. If you use the opportunity that you are given to go meet a tribe or rural people that don’t usually see westerners, it usually means a lot to them. I think both sides really enjoy it, and honestly spending tourism money in those regions is a lot better than spending it in Hawaii or Europe
That is a very western thing to say. Even if it is well intentioned. Just relax if you end up in a village in fiji the kids will be pretty open and huggy as fijian people very often are. They will probably ask you many questions aswell, which is not meant as an intrusion just curiosity and openess.
Stab will always be the people’s surf mag
Do people prefer this or the surfer journal? In stab this type of content is great but tsj makes also great stuff, good pics...

Why should it make a difference if they are covered in tattoos? Does it make them not as “nice?”
