Lads, I appreciate ye like our country and are enjoying the waves but be a bit more realistic. It’s onshore about 2/3 of the year and good empty days are not common anymore. This autumn saw more travelling surfers arriving then I’ve ever seen before and some of their behaviour was not ideal. If you’re coming to visit, respect the lineup and wait your turn please ✌🏼
Can't blame the travelling surfers when it's mostly locals not waiting their turn and dropping in, don't get too annoyed about it, it happens everywhere and just down to someone not looking over their shoulder, a kind approach and people respect you more for it.
I am infinitely grateful that I have helped you feel this way about your beautiful land and people! What makes your island special is the people that inhabit it
I grew up surfing in the south of the South Island, NZ. This vid reminded me of home. A bunch of mates charging as best we can, in cold water, heavy surf. Loved it - Ireland is beautiful!
@venezolion you have to go to the Catlins, NZ. I'm definitely going to Ireland. It looks amazing. The colder the water, the warmer the people. Kia Kaha, bro!
@@David-le7jy what the best time of the season for surfing? I'll defiantly love to go there. There is so much to see when visit Ireland but I highly recommend North-West Coast. I can't couldn't agree more, the colder the water/places the warmer the people. Buena vibra hermano ✌️
@venezolion I reckon late winter, early spring. But it's good all year round, all the swell from the Southern Ocean. Check out Curio bay/Porpoises Bay. She breaks like a shallow bottom beach break Pipeline/Backdoor. Possibly the best beachbreak, anywhere? Always off shore. When you get there I might let you know about a left hand slab a few miles a way, but it only breaks on a certain swell and wind. Laters!
I came across your video, I'm always looking for surf videos. I love it when the environment and the lives of the surfers are included. Beautiful video. Congratulations.❤
@@embracingchagall I'm glad that you found us. It's good to know that there are still people like you who are interested in these kind of stories. I really appreciate your comment. Thank you!
Irish local here. This is video took years to make There is hardly any surf in Ireland. England blocks all ours surf.😅😊 We also have the second biggest shark here after the whale shark. And they travel in packs. Great video by the way
Thank you! It was a long time coming! As a foreigner I fell in love with this part of Ireland and it was my opportunity to add my grain of sand to the world of surfing. I wanted to focus on the quality of the people who are behind surfing. This is my way of expressing the visual beauty of the place and telling its story. And the wildlife is incredible too! We started off as just four people but during the making of this I met so many wonderful people who are in the lineup for a new project in Ireland again. Watch this space!

England only blocks one side, try surfing the other side where there is nothing for 1000s miles lol
And the Basking sharks your are talking about are harmless
@b.a375 technically that is true but I wouldn't pick a fight with one their mates will join in.
I see what you did there. And I agree. Those pack sharks are hectic!! And super crappy surf
