as a georgian I can agree to drivers part, only this year I've been hit 3 times when my car was parked xD. Georgians are very complicated people, we had to go through a lot and still we suffer, waiters part is one example, service workers are extremely underpaid for massive job they do.. You can go through our history and you will see for 3000 years we been fighting for independence and nothing more, we still fight for it. A lot of people mostly educated ones had to leave country because of bad government and high corruption, they either were forced to work 10-12 hours a day for 1000 gel ($300 apparently) or they were jobless. However Tbilisi is still great place to live, life expenses are cheap and you can easily start business as fees are pretty low, good luck and enjoy your stay..

Why georgians have stern faces?
I also feel Batumi has much less complex feelings regarding foreigners as well. It makes total sense how fiercely defended Georgia as a country is overall considering history lol
That said... THE DOGS IN GEORGIA ARE GODSENT AND THEYRE GOOD BOYS, BRENT & ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN lolol I was so happy about them & they were all so sweet!
@@lindiwesoko7876That's just a regional thing. Zero indication of how warm/mean/etc anyone is. It's just normal regionally & can be a little offputting for foreigners until they realize it's just typical in the region & doesn't reflect personality.

about gyms, I think it has something to do with not having work out culture like in the US or other European countries, hence there is no need for massive modern gyms
Thats true. I went to a gym in Turkey like 10 years ago and it was a joke and even more expensive than Germany. But I was there recently again and saw huge improvements. Just a matter of time until gym's in countries like Turkey, Georgia etc. will become like Europe or USA.

I find Tblisi specifically to represent these interpretations for foreigners new to the region. Batumi is far more foreigner-oriented.

I am Georgian I respect what you and the guy said I understand all the things you said I recommend you go grape picking in Georgia it’s very fun although there are dogs but you can ask the people to keep the dogs away.
The dogs were one of my favorite parts lol they were all SO sweet & gentle. And everyone treats them so well!

I went last year liked it almost like downtown Baltimore and country part like Virginia mtn, stay grounded and keep it moving. I make home where I lay my head. God is everywhere one love lol 🤣 Ase' 🌎🧘💫 The females are intimidated but I'm like "sis chill" one love Food, music, is good but I choose those who choose me. The drivers I love and know not to drive them. Lol and I am a great driver. Just do not want dents in my Benz. Love to learn about culture and loved my travel guides. Made sure I counted my money GEL and the market lady was mad thought I could not afford "to shop in her store" a d another annoyed I had to convert and it took me some time at the store, fooled her. Prejudiced in some area but Never feel small.

I am georgian, Tbilisi is a really busy place to live like most of the population live there. I prefer to live in batumi it's more peaceful,more Orderly, and yes they drive safely.
Also our older generation doesn't like a foreigner visiting there country. Bc there different from them, like there religion,how they dress, there skin color and others. But not all people are like that.
I hope we are gonna improve in future!

Currently in Batumi, they do not drive safely here 😂😂 Maybe to a Georgian. 20% of cars are missing either the front or the back of their body. If you think its safe here... it really makes me wonder about Tblisi :/
