- It's not my official contribution day for Cobra Convergence 5 but we're doing GI Joe villains every week all month long! Today we're diving in to the history of Metal-Head, the walking Anti-Tank weapon from Destro's Iron Grenadiers!

PLEASE do videos for groups of Cobras like the BATS, EELSS vipers, televipers, iron grenadiers and so on. any enhancements they received and so on and why the rank and file COBRA troops went from the blue uniformed soldiers of early years to viper uniforms later
Loved him in the comic and wished they used him more. I won’t discuss his character in the DIC cartoon....Props for mentioning the GI Joe: Extreme Metal Head.
Made my day. Absolutely loved him in the cartoon. Interesting to learn how he was given upgrades yet he was still not to bright.

You reading that character description on the box brought back so many good memory's of being at Lionel Play World or Toys R Us looking at the wall of figures on display trying to figure out which one to get. Back when binary toys where accepted truth & facts of nature. Also the more I learned about WW2 the more I realized the parallels in these GIJOE character's & there attire. Look at Cobras Helm & even the Metal Head Tank Buster, Panzerfaust. They even weaved in the Japanese parallels.
Thankkkks!!!! Finally I found this guy! I searched it for so long which is I always forgot who this guy really is. This guy is always I remember when we talk about GI Joe but don't know he's name so I always describe him as the guy who shoot 2 huge missiles on his back. This is the Magic of internet. We share our thoughts and remembering something we forgot for so long....I feel old now 😏Too much nostalgia from the 80's-90's. RIP Dad 😪

The DIC Era, or "How I Learned to Stop Loving GI Joe."
Luckily I discovered the comics and they pulled me back to the fold.
When I got back into GI Joe for a long time Metal Head was one of the only cobra figure I had that had a speaking part in the show. I still couldn’t make him a leader.
Metal Head was also one of a couple of Cobra’s army I owned as a child. Looking at him now, he looks like the inspiration for Dr.Disrespect.

Metal head is an extreme scrap iron.

Anyone noticed how a lot of stuff going on in Gi Joe cartoon in the 80s has been going on in real life .....like sinthoids aka clones and the weather changing whippin Destro had and so much more you just gotta go bak and watch it with open eyes even MK ultra....but aye it’s just cartoons right Lol 🤔🤭

Loved him in the DIC cartoon, but man Hasbro was abit lazy with the Classified figure.
Hopefully maybe a third party can make missiles that can be placed in the launchers.

2:05 Range, elevation and other factors are necessary for anti tank weapons but windage? The wind isn't as big a factor with missiles, esp. short range missiles (line of sight) as bullets because the wind really doesn't affect the flight path of a missile like it does a bullet
5:38 Is Metal Head left eye dominant or is the image flipped? I was sure that the crosshairs on his goggles were on his right eye before 3:33. Weird. Hama makes him right eyed while DIC makes him left eyed

The One Man Anti-Tank Weapon
Lol!! This guys a clown. One of the last joes I remember getting for Christmas as I was getting too old for them by the early 90s. Unfortunately the latest joes to top off my childhood were burned with aerosol and flames tied to makeshift posts. I can still see Metal Head burning on a stick crucifix in the back field behind my house. Rip good sir, you did Cobra a great service
They were fun to destroy, the bad figures anyway.

this was a waste of a potentially good character. DIC ruined the series and turned it into a comedy rather than a action show. If they made MH more like firefly or scrap-iron, he would have been much more of a badass.

Hey. 2017 Power Rangers wasn't that bad. Sure it was clear that the production team really tried hard. To get away from the campiness of the TV show.
Seriously. You read Marvel Comics. You know full well the Marvel movies are tame compared to the crazy stuff. That has happened in the comics. And Marvel Movies try really hard (other than Deadpool) to be dark and semi-grounded into reality.
So setting the Power Ranger movie (2017) aside and on its own. It is not a bad movie. Now comparing to the other Power Ranger movies and the show. Yeah...1995 movie still a lot better. After all. You had the Megazord kick Ivan Ooze in the balls. Nothing beats that.
