All of this was an issue for me as a child, and no doctor has ever seemed to care or linked it to my hyper mobility or mast cell/urticaria issues. I was a preemie. Didn't go home with my mother. Severe childhood asthma, triggered by exercise and dust/hay. More doctors need to be as educated as Dr. Bascom!

Thank you for this info. I had 2 x cardio respiratory arrests by the age of 28. I was being treated for chronic, severe refractory asthma despite using every possible preventative asthma medication available. I was lectured and berated by so many doctors who assumed I wasn’t taking my meds and was treated like a non compliant Px every time I was rushed to the ED with acute, sudden onset “asthma” attacks. It took me 30 yrs of researching my symptoms and countless doctor and specialist appointments before I found a GP who took my suspicions of EDS and MCAS seriously! I now have NO respiratory symptoms at all and haven’t used a single puffer for 2 years. A simple H1 & H2 receptor antagonist B.D. saved my life!!
