I understand how this is a sequel to ghosts but what lyrical Connection do they have
CoiledGalaxy Not only do they have essentially matching beats, but this is referencing his S/O's death by referencing October and voicing his denial in seeing her, as he does in "Ghosts." In "Ghosts", he's still grief-stricken and adamantly refusing it while lamenting on the day she passed and how much he misses her. In "A Dream", he speaks of how she talks to him nod. At first, he only saw her. Now, he hears her as well, but he's still in denial and struggling to move on. You see a similar pattern continuing in the sequel to this song, "Feel You". He goes from only seeing to hearing and then feeling her with him, which shows that he never managed to move on from her. Hope this helps!
