I think what makes this so comforting is the illusion of safety. Imagine you're a commander of a space force watching over earth and you go to bed listening to all of your communications of people talking about things where everything is normal, and you get to rest knowing that if anything happens, there's plenty of people on standby monitoring the galaxy together in a huge team effort while you sleep.

These videos with radio chatter always remind me of the “future war” scene from the Terminator. Especially the “infiltrator” scene with the original Kyle Reese.
The news of the ship crash ripped through the crew like a lightning bolt. Most of us have family on Luna. The announcement left nothing but silence in its wake for a couple of minutes as the speakers relayed the known initial information and informed the crew of the redirect to Earths Orbit. Being spacers makes living in an atmosphere feel like you're wearing a tight, thick sweater sometimes. Like it was wrapping around your chest and holding it a little tighter than normal. That is what being on the bridge felt like right now. Like I am choking. The radio chatter comes through calm and collected as usual, but the tension in everyone's voices is apparent to the perceptive. It puts stings onto the ends of their words. It stabs into my ears every time I hear it. "We got as many as we could." "Roger. Continue on route through the debris and see what else we find." "Roger." The exchange is basic. The rescue was well underway, but it is not going as well as hoped. It was pure chaos above the sliding moon, its rocky surface now littered with the aftermath of the bloody affair. I tune in to the excited chatter around me, in the command center and also in my headset. Everyone else seems to understand what is happening as well. So this is it. It's an all out attempt to conquer the Earth. The humans on the planet are already sending ships to scout out what we are. Heroic motivation speeches were given to all airmen & women as they prepared to be the first line of assault on the insurgent strongpoints. Most were not expected to survive and many recorded their last messages home that evening.

Goodnight everyone
Night night mate :)
out of curiosity are there scripts written and actors reading them? or is this like people improvising etc?
Recorded from our dcs sim playing :)
"Copy that stratcom 1, maneuvering now into a geosynchronous orbit over the plant. Preparing high-altitude defense and space-to-atmosphere attack systems. Deploying invasion force ETA 5 mikes, expect boots on plantside in roughly 25 mikes after orbit over."
The combined terror attack on Luna and Earth that left 3 billion people dead had rattled the system. SATO's large naval force was luckily deployed over Venus for an 8 month training exercise.
Now 26 days later, SATO's 1st and 2nd Inner System fleets were converging over the once civilized and cooperative planet of Mars. Today marks the beginning of the invasion of the South Western hemisphere of Mars. It would begin with several weeks of low-altitude precision bombardment in areas suspected to house MRF-affiliated fighters and followed by a land invasion of roughly 50,000 soldiers.
Heroic motivation speeches were given to all airmen & women as they prepared to be the first line of assault on the insurgent strongpoints. Most were not expected to survive and many recorded their last messages home that evening.
Awesome text mate. Thank you for sharing with us. Looking forward to read new onces. Cheers :)

I don't understand why the video is in 4K when the quality of the image clearly isn't. Can barely see the difference with 720p.
Rendering problem...
no way you’re gonna complain about the misc. image for a 10 hour long ambience video???
@@oliverwayke2592 well exactly so. I want to run this background ambient on my second screen the whole day, like a painting, it needs to look good :D
