That’s the best way to have a comic book showroom, is that you can always change out your walls with fresh comics excellent idea
Thank you! It works out good for me, after I shoot a video I just put up the comics I like best and have a different backdrop for the next one. It keeps me from getting tired of seeing the same covers. Thanks again for the great comment!!!

Nice comic book room.
I switched from the cardboard drawer boxes to filing cabinets due to the same issues have shown, getting the bottom row open proved virtually impossible.
I am happy with my set up, I now have 15 filing cabinets holding over 20,000 comics.

Wow. I only have room for 3 filing cabinets right now, but they hold about 6k comics without cramming them in too tight. I have the rest in short boxes that I store in Kallax 4x4 book shelves from Ikea. I got the filing cabinets from my local university's surplus department for $15 each. They're ugly, but they work. lol
@@richchappell A couple people have mentioned filing cabinets. Part of me wished I would have gone that route. Eventually I'd like one of those custom-built numbers that have smooth rolling hinges that let you pull the comics all the way out. They look like they just glide so easily! Someday! Thanks again!!!

Wow! Thanks for sharing! Those drawer boxes look really good, they're virtually impossible to get hold of here in the UK. I spotted your Northmen comic on display, hope to hear more about that title someday!

Great idea with the fishing line. When I first saw those shelves I cringed thinking about how easy it would be for one to fall, but I see you thought of that too. I've been putting up Mosslanda white acrylic floating picture ledges from Ikea to display mine. They work really well since they come with a built-in notch where the bottom of the comic rests. I don't have any graded comics, but I have some of my comics in Ultra Pro comic book display holders, so they kind of look like slabbed books.
Nice! That's what I love about comic collecting, there's no right or wrong way to do it. Some people don't display them at all. Some only collect graded comics, some use display holders. Everyone gets to find what works for them. Thanks for mentioning some new products, I'll look into them. I'm always searching for better ways to display them. I like to change what I see so often that I need efficiency. Thanks for the GREAT comment!!!

Great room brutha. What's nice, and realistic about this is that it's not one of those rooms that looks like an "expensive" museum quality set-up, that some people with loads of money have, but more a comic/collectibes room that many of us normal collectors can do, and do have. One comment is that not sure if you are filming this on an old flip phone, but you may want to upgade a bit on the camera - the video quality is kinda subpar. Or maybe you just need to wipe the lens- You wanna show off this great room in HD man lol
Thanks! I do appreciate the feedback. I did film this in HD, but I had to do super low lighting to miminize the glare. You're right though, next time I'll up the lighting and manipulate the angles to avoid glare. Thanks again, sincerely!!!

What a great room! Thanks for sharing! What era of comics makes up the bulk of your collection? Are you into Silver, Bronze, Copper, Modern, or all of the above?
Thanks! I'm very fortunate to have the space. The bulk of my collection is Copper and Modern. Having said that, I LOVE Silver and Bronze. I'll read anything, but I stopped buying new comics a few years back. Thanks for the comment!!!

I really like your set up. I've been looking into getting those drawer boxes for a while now. I'm curious about how they are when it comes to weight. I know you said that you have trouble opening those drawers at the bottom. Do you think that's caused by having too much weight at the top?
Thanks! Yes, I think the weight is what is causing my issues with the Drawerboxes. They say you can go five stacks high, but I'm having trouble just going three. They still work, and it's been about ten years, so I give them props. I think I'll switch the top and bottom boxes soon and that should give me another 5 years. I'm pretty happy with them overall. Thanks again!!!
Do you keep a log of all your comics? If so, what do you use to keep track of what you already have? How many comics do you have 😱
Thanks for watching! No, I don't keep a log of my comics. I have a bout ten thousand comics. I have a good mental list as I've read every comic in the collection. I DO keep a list of comics I want, but that's the only log I keep. Thanks again!!!
