One of the big challenges for me is the language barrier, but I've recently started to have one on one lessons with a tutor and they have been a big help. You can find my spanish teacher here:

Planning a visit or moving to Mexico? Check out the Mexico Travel Journal amzn.to/3nTOSJO The Mexico Travel Journal is a small Journal Notebook I created for people planning to spend time in Mexico. More than just a journal notebook, the Mexico Travel Journal contains important information on travelling in Mexico like Tourist Card Requirements and limitations, Entering Mexico by Land and Driving Tips, as well as important Safety Tips. The Journal section contains a daily planner and a daily notes page with enough space for travel of up to 45 days. The Mexico Travel Journal also a valuable spanish phrase section with over 250 commonly used phrases to help you in your journey. Since Mexico is a country that uses the Metric system, I've also included several Metric to Imperial conversion charts for easy reference.
How fun! I bought a fire opal ring in Queretaro in 1976 when on a semester abroad study throughout Mexico . I still have the ring…. It was a gift to myself for my 20th birthday.
I love what she was mentioning about not being greedy. I think that is such an important take-away from this video! The mines were stunning. What a great adventure!
So true! Good observation.
That was really interesting. Diego did a great job explaining what to look for and how to tell if iron is present, and his dog was very cool. The scenery was stunning.
Спасибо. Очень познавтельно и наглядно. Ксоло-красавчик!
What a fun adventure. The people, landscape and opals were so fascinating.
Yeah, it was a day of everything being different from what I'm used to. Different landscape, different language, different food... a good experience.
Thank you for these wonderful videos. I was the visitor to orphanages, Folklorica dance clubs, like Nina's in Acapulco. I went on the dance boat trips. I was never into hiking, canoes etc.
So much more interesting with a guide who obviously loves his work. This was so enjoyable. Wish I was there. Thanks for taking us along with you. 🤩
Glad you enjoyed it!
The dog looks like Dante from the movie Coco!
Cool scenery. There was a neat cactus at the entrance of the cave that I really liked!
Exactly. Same type of dog.
It's a Xoloitzcuintle, it's a native dog from México, the legends say those dogs guide you in the afterlife if you was good with dogs and animals in your life.
Fun video. Good editing and kept moving along but really good time spent hearing what your guides said. So nice that you didn’t try to jazz it up with overly-slick edits or music. It’s like a nice travelogue and documentary on Mex Fire Opals. I felt like I was almost along with you and as if I met Diego and the woman (college professor / translator - I didn’t catch her name 😏) 👏🏼
Thats one of those mayan dogs, very cool
4:21 Estoy harta de esa pregunta 😂 Pero toca calmarse y contestar lo más inteligente posible 😅
Sure is a unique place. Very interesting.
Yeah a cool landscape.
Darcy and I went to La Trinidad on Feb.26. Got a bunch of little gems. Similar caves but not the same ones. Fun trip. Loved re-enacting the visit via your video.
Cool. Neat little place.
Good stuff, thanks, Jason. 👍🙂💎
My pleasure!!
Very interesting, Opal's my birthstone. I would think Austrailian opals would have more water, how odd???
Yes
Mexico is amazing
Yes it is.
I can't believe there was an opal just sitting on the ground right out front before you all even started looking, that's so cool! Can you find one for me? 😁 I used to look for cool rocks all the time as a kid, never would've thought you could find such amazing stones. This was such a cool and educational video, thank you for sharing it!
They were everywhere like that. It was a cool place to walk around. Thanks for watching.
@@TrailguidePictures Wow, my daughter would love it there. Maybe we'll visit one day. We love your adventures. 😊
Main ke wonogiri om ada fire opal juga
Very interesting and cool place to visit. I was wondering because of the rocky environment in this area, are snakes a concern in the cave or surrounding area (ok, i'm afraid of snakes...lol)
There are snakes , spiders and scorpions but like in most environments that have snakes, the snakes want to be left alone. You just need to keep your eye out so you don't accidentally step on one - that said, I didn't see any critters out there.
Such a cool area to explore, I imagine it's much bigger than how it shows in the video. So, you didn't strike it rich, eh? 😄
Yes, exactly. There was a fair amount more I could have filmed but wanted to experience some of it without running a camera.
@@TrailguidePictures that makes perfect sense. You're there for the experience, sometimes you just have to put the camera down and be fully in the moment. 🍻
What a cool place to get to see! So… did you find any opals you got to keep? :)
I found a few but put them back for someone else to find.
@@TrailguidePictures That’s very kind of you, I would have been putting them in my pocket :)
Where were the finished opals-examples of the finished product?
