Thanks Justin. Could you zoom into the text as very difficult to read. How would EZNEC NEC4 / 5 compare when using Ansys HFSS? In time will you be discussing this?
There are some zoom features I have used before with this software which is much more feature-rich than it has ever been. However, if I am honest I forgot about then but will use the zoom in Future. You can't directly compare EZNEC and HFSS. This is because HFSS covers ever aspect, booms, cables, insulators, bolts etc. This is one reason why the models I created within HFSS are not on VE7BQH list. Despite what you read in marketing from some companies (that don't use EZNEC as it is an amateur product) only antennas produced in EZNEC/2NEC2 can be shown on Lionel's list. I will do a comparison with EZNEC and AN-SOF however.
@@TheValtss for the reasons I explained above, you cant really compare. you use (I only used) HFSS to confirm antennas with all materials connected and then the element sizes are nothing like they are in EZNEC, this is how I was able to establish than old, fixed-length correction methods don't work.
Great video ! thank you Martin. Testing now and it is not so easy and fast with long yagi, 73 SO3Z
Thank you for the excellent video.
Thank you, much appreciated. despite their length, they take many hours to put together.
@@hamradioguy-g0ksc96 I see you put also a lot of effort into production and editing. Knowledge shared > visual fx 🙂

@@hamradioguy-g0ksc96 what about in a practical sense - how well do they match up (NEC5 vs HFSS). I assume they should be fairly close?
