    Beautiful painting in soft colors. This is by far one of the best videos since you are kind enough to show the pallette as you paint so that we beginners can see exactly what you are doing. Thank you for this beautiful work of art!

    hello there! I'm an absolute beginner in wc. is the purpose of your first wash to create a wet-into-wet so that the next wash flows like it does when you put the washes in the center? you really make this appear so easy! Thank you and I hope I've made sense😊

    what is the difference between the shinhan and holbein watercolours.? I know shinhan is cheaper but both have the same pigments and names...i would love to know before I order a set,the question is of course open to anyone who can help 😊

    • @jayleepainting
      @jayleepainting  7 лет назад

      Yes that's right. Shinhan watercolor Paint is cheaper than Holbein. Actually Holbein paint doesn't have much effect as their high price. But Holbein watercolor collection contains many exceptional and brilliant colors for advanced painter.

      Jessie McPhee , even though your comment is old, it sorta looks as if he's using a Round type brush.. A good type I've got the other day was of FolkArt at Walmart lol.

    how can I start to watercolour it's so beautiful. can anyone do this

    • @sawong8685
      @sawong8685 6 лет назад

      craftgirl, you can do it! Attitude more important than aptitude.Any start is your new beginning. Most important is a decent brush and lots of paper to practice.
      You could start with a Prang watercolor tin and non-glazed printer paper (24 lb), but if you don't have a brush with good "spring" you could easily get frustrated. The brush is your friend!
      A ream of printer paper is economical so you can afford lots of practice. You'll know you've got it when you can stop thinking and observe your brush strokes express your soul. The best advice to improve: a 15 minutes daily practice routine of a specific stroke or color trials. Hope the vid and these suggestions motivate more people tike you to.. Just Do It! :)

    Whenever i try to make it bleed it never bleeds out nicely :c it kind of just stays in the middle like a little blob. But i'll give this a try and see what happens! Thanks for sharing ❤

    • @UTleochi
      @UTleochi 8 лет назад +4

      It might have to do with the colours/pigments you use. Some of them tend to bleed beautifully, some just don't. The paper is very important, too. Good watercolour paper gives more satisfying results than cheap paper. (The listed watercolour paper brands Saunders Waterford and Arches are expensive , but they do allow more satisfying results.)

    • @DontCloudMe
      @DontCloudMe 8 лет назад

      300lb cold press is $2-$12 per 9x12 sheet. 140lb cold press runs about .50c/sheet and seems to be the standard for students and hobbyists.
