Today is my first day without her and I just want to say thank you for all the great times you have created for me and my dog. I know you may not realize it, but you affect so many peoples lives. @@amoutdoors5928 my dog died when he was 12. Most dogs lifespans are 10 they almost never last longer then 15 😔

Congrats brother! That is my addiction, so far i've got a 38lb/48", 29lb 42" out the French Broad River in Western, NC. I use live bait (hog suckers, stone rollers and trout on the bottom), around here we fish back current and where creeks pour in

@@reaganriddle I've had the most luck anywhere between Asheville Airport and Lowes in Brevard. There is a well known area called the "Muskie Mile", it's the ideal habitat for them. It's only accessable with a boat etc
@@buckdown87 I know where the Muskie mile is. My dad literally owns a warehouse about a half a mile down the road from it! Considering where you say habitat wise that you fish on it, I know of a perfect spot now. I’m gonna try it probably tomorrow if I can!

You need a big net and a wire leader if you are going to Muskie fish. Your lucky you were able to get him in without his teeth cutting your line. I also died a little when he was banging around in the bottom of your boat. Muskies may get huge and that is a small one for most places, but they are fragile when out of the water.
where you should fish for muskie is rock flats and use bucktails they like to stay in about 1-5 feet in the spring and fall summer they stay in 10-20 my pb was on a bullhead it was 48 inches

I absolutely love Muskie fishing! I live right on the river which has a lot of Muskie in it and it’s always a great fight and aggravating at the same time when they don’t commit to it.

Imagine letting a fish slam itself off the ground out of water for over a minute and half and then blame the season for why it's almost dead
And then when it turns upside down just try to flip it with a paddle. Clearly neither of them had any clue how to revive the fish, had almost no clue how heavy the equipment needed is, and didn't bring a net or pliers for the retrieval of the lure.
If anyone reads this and thinks I'm just being an a-hole, that fish and every muskie are the future of this sport, and if we kill and eat them (the fish that was caught probably wasn't even legally sized for keeping, and the DNR could fine him if he did) we will lose these fish. The first thing you should do when deciding to fish for musky is research what you need and how to revive them if they flip like in the video. Absolutely no respect for the fish in this video.

if you use the right bait and know the spots and the time you will get one every 4 cast where im from in PA and my river there loaded in there
whenever you catch a musky and handle them make sure to keep lots of water on it. or keep it in the water a little that’s why the fish almost didn’t make it

I fished in a Muskie tournament this year in September and the first day I was in first place and the second day I took 3 in the tournament
When I was prefishing for a tournament on a on about my 5th cast I called a mosque just a baby and then about fit's about 5 or 6 cats later I'm I caught a big old large mouth Bass I was catching them on I was catching them on under spins Andale cotton's of other lures we caught a bunch that day.

In the Netherlands pike, I believe that's the same as muskie are actually some of the most common species of predatory fish, the other day I caught one that was 90 cm long
Pike and Muskie are not the same fish, very close though.
