Today, we are going to walk in Myeongdong in Seoul. Myeongdong is a famous shopping area famous for being packed with many international luxury brands, department stores, cafes, eateries, and hotels. There is also a night market where normally over 120 different vendors sell various street food.
Due to the pandemic, the once thriving shopping district has seen a steady decline over the last three years as international travel mostly disappeared. But these days, tourism to Korea has picked up steam and the once dying area is showing signs of life again as new shops are being built and people fill the streets again.
On today's walk in February, we can see that Myeongdong is very much alive and recovering well.

Don't buy street food in Myeongdong.It's ridiculously expensive. At that price, you can go to a nearby department store and restaurant and eat more delicious food in a pleasant environment Don't ever buy it

This is true. Myeongdong is expensive compared to other areas of Seoul, but it's the nature of the place being a centrally located tourist hotspot. I like to think of it like if I go to Times Square in New York. Everything will be more expensive there, but it's a once in a while trip for me, so I will most likely spend more money there.
