Something that I found helps with my loc buns, is a good old school cafeteria lady hair net. My locs are about 22 inches long, they sit almost at my hips. I do the sleek look just like this. But I have a few rebels in the bunch that always want to hang out. I slip a hairnet over my completed bun and secure with a 3 inch bobby/ hair pin. It holds the rebels in place. I love this look for my day to day, especially working in corporate America where my hair isn't always appreciated (thank Heaven the times are slowly changing). Hair nets on Amazon are like $8 for 100. 3 inch hair pin on Amazon 120 for $6. Well worth it.
This is exactly what I was searching for. I’ve been wanting an easy bun and this is definitely a process I can follow and do. From a girl with locs whose daily is a ponytail/ messy bun. THANK YOU 🙏🏾 😅
Love it, right on time! Thanks for the tips - especially pinning the perimeter instead of pulling it into the ponytail! Genius 🤩 can’t wait to style my hair like this for work tomorrow.
this looks AMAZING, my goodness. perfect tutorial 👏🏾 i wanna do ballet and wasn’t sure how i’d get my locs into a sleek bun 😭 but you’ve convinced me that it’s possible!
Cuuuuute. I love the tip about leaving the front out and then putting it back. I’m trying to do a note re-twist December, because I feel like my edges are a little thin. Thank you for this style!
I was wondering if I should use a gel for a more sleek look. I’ve been using mouse and water then I lay it down with a scarf. The mouse does take longer to dry.
I haven't enjoyed a loc tutorial like this in a while(maybe because I'm too lazy to do my hair) but I'm definitely going to try this style. I can't do my edges but I hope if I watch you do yours a few more times I will finally learn😊😊 #subscribed
Thanks so much for subscribing! ♥️ For your edges, try brushing and laying them in the direction the naturally grow (if that makes sense). And then when you get more comfortable you play around with swoops and stuff (if that's a look you like). Hope that helps!
Do you use edge control a lot on your edges. ??? I do from time to time... But im scared to use it a lot bc of breakage does it break off your edges if so what do you recommend?
I've been using edge control since I started my locs and I personally haven't had any issues. I just try not let product build up on my edges. I also wash my edges daily when I wash my face and keep them oiled.
girl you posting these videos and people out here thinking this is how to care for locs and handle locs . i can’t believe what you post. all i see is damage in most videos . your damaging your hair and definitely damaging the foundation with all the gel and hard smoothing . locs aren’t suppose to be smooth or slick ? idk honestly i’m trying to help you save your hair cuz you forgot your have extensions you can’t even see what’s really happening with your natural hair . this is causing long term damaged thinning , balding all kinds of issues . i’m 5 yrs down and i have thick locs. you say this is this locs they not . they extensions your natural hair is thin. your parts determine how thick your loc is and your parts are very small so you have thin locs . crochet combine like 3/4 of them and they will become thick locs . if you have thick locs you can’t do all this slicking to them lol their thick it won’t happen lol
Please seek help! Because coming on someone’s platform and writing a full dissertation about the damage you see in their hair from a clip of a video that you only see through a screen and not in person HAS to be some form of mental illness. God Bless 🙏🏽❤️
For someone trying to "save my hair", this comment comes off very pretentious and arrogant 🥴. Gel & Hard Smoothing?? I literally said I opt for aloe gel over eco gel because its lightweight. I also used my hands and said using a brush for smoothing is unnecessary lol. You dont have to agree with all my hair care practices but come on now lol. I've never once said I was a loc expert and I constantly reiterate that this is MY hair, MY journey, MY trials. And everyone needs to do what's best for THEIR hair, THEIR journey. I get I post different locs styles, but to insinuate I neglect my natural locs because I have loc extensions is completely false. Outside of posting content, 75% of the time my locs are moisturized, loose and free lol.

Love it, right on time! Thanks for the tips - especially pinning the perimeter instead of pulling it into the ponytail! Genius 🤩 can’t wait to style my hair like this for work tomorrow.
You are so welcome!
Very simple yet effective and beautiful🎉 copying this to go to church tomorrow’s ❤ Thank you 🙏🏾
Thank you for the suggestion to cut the scrunched. I struggle with that! The finished look is elegant❤
Lord I love me a sleek ponytail😊 love this on your loc!!😻
Wow these strategies are really good! The low bun can be hard for thicker locks but cutting the hair twistie really works!
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
I can't do the oil though. My scalp HATES when I put oil on it.
Very nice tips! Love this for my thick locks. Thank you
I love it I've been looking to get inspiration from Locs that look similar to mine I will try this hairstyle definitely
Great idea cutting the scrunchie!

You slayed it,darlin'! My pic is when I was 42, now 65 and still rockin' my dreads! Do you and don't respond to evil and stupid!
Gorgeous!
Love this!!!
Do you ever use your own hair/locs to wrap the ponytail
Thank you so much ❤❤
Do the extension feel like your natural loc? Or are they more coarse?
Do you ever wear your locs without laying your edges? Your locs are beautiful and they look good when the edges are natural ❤
Super cute!!!

Nairobi styling foam. They sell it everywhere.
My locs are just not that long yet
Beautiful ❤
Thank you! 😊
really cute
Nice 👍🏾
I mean the bun looked neat to me
Damn she pretty
❤❤❤❤
really nice.
Nice, but I wouldn't pump so many products into my locs. That's an invitation to massive build-up.

For a bunch of people who talk about how liberating having locs are, y’all sure try to police that journey for other people.

It's weird to be overly concerned about what someone does to their on head. Jealousy is loud in that long ass story lol
Everything looks good but the edges
They not real look like extensions my are natural 5 yrs I growed from the roots
It's so beautiful, didn't think it will be possible, but it came out real good 🤍
Great job
Beautiful ❤
❤❤❤
