Holiday Ballooning - uplifting ride along

so an extra long weekend means sleeping in for some people, not for hot air balloonists, it's the chance to get an extra flight into the weekend.

Bank holiday weekends (for those who aren't in the UK) are almost always Monday to give people an extra long weekend - but why rest when there is a chance to meet up with friends and go join a fleet of hot air balloons in the stunning early morning light.
This weekend was in late May, but there was still ice on the car when I crawled from my tent and started to look at the skies and see if it was ballooning weather. I set up my camera on the roof of my car to film the balloon inflating (and I got a great time lapse of jets coming into the UK from the overnight transatlantic flights), before i hopped on board with my friend Trudy and we we went for a hop in her orange and purple balloon `cisco' (G-CISC)
In total 5 balloons took to the air that morning, over the weekend 10 or so balloons had visited but by the Monday just 5 remained to fly the extra holiday slot
