@@overseekgames9637 it is most commonly nylon or polyester fabric with a coating to hold the air in. It is not flammable but it can easily melt if it is in direct contact with the flame

Jumping out of the basket is the perfect way to put you, the pilot, and every other passenger in immediate danger. Do some research, or please never fly in a balloon.

As a 40 year comm balloon pilot I would have never thrown out a line like he did. Too high and only if you are low on fuel . But he had a knife to cut it. I only threw out the line once and the crew wrapped it around a tree. So it spun the basket around and I ended up bumping a small shed. Ha
I was coming into Springfield Missouri one time and a balloon landed on a 20 ft wide strip of grass between the highway and the exit. Don't think it was intentional.
I know this is likely a joke, but if you (or anyone else seeing this) like to know what he’s actually doing, he’s pulling the top of the balloon open so that it _doesn’t_ take off again
The only real navigation that you can do is going into wind currents that are blowing the right direction, there is no real steering, you can go up and down but other than that you are at the mercy of the elements.
I can only imagine some idiot with a drone tearing that balloon up and everyone crashing to the ground. You are always at risk by other humans. Im not human.
Good video. Are you a new pilot unfamiliar with laws when flying over populated areas? 2 balloon pilots got grounded for flying below the min. You aren't much higher than they were. Grounded. No fly. Its 1000ft or 2000ft above the highest obstacle. Can't remember. But either way you were around 300ft over some homes and it wasn't an optical illusion due to camera zoom. Maybe you got a waiver from FAA. If so you should put a disclaimer or something s. Risking people's lives. Fly safer next time.

Flying a balloon isn't easy it requires very precise Burns and knowing how the balloon will react to each burn

The drone would probably tear itself apart before it even leaves a mark.
